Kailua/Laniki is my favorite stretch of beach on Oahu, especially somewhat off-season and when the wind dies down. Spectacular.
Best Hawaii travel content on TH-cam. Said it before, saying it again! 😜👍 Also, the details and mapping are so helpful - it's critical for newbies trying to get familiar and orient themselves with the locations, geography and planning a trip - especially if never been there before. No one else's videos that I've seen uses maps much less with arrows and enough time to actually see the map. And the visuals, narration, content, details covered, editing, everything is just really top notch. VERY thorough and great, lingering views of the amazing landscape and locales yet not too slow paced. Really travel TV channel quality. Thanks again.

Great video as usual. Very beautiful footage. A bit upset you are going to be endorsing the horrible sea life park though! Those poor animals are seriously suffering. There's so much footage out there of the dolphins and wolphin doing very abnormal things like chewing concrete and ramming their heads over and over! All captivity parks are outdated and exploitative and hopefully soon will be shut down!
But anyway love the channel, you two are great! :)

We had been In Oahu island 2019 we stayed in Hilton Hawaiian village and we will there in January. 2021 so I missed the secret island and north shore thank you so much and merry Christmas
I’m loving this series. I was in Oahu in March and stopped by some of these beaches, I can attest that your reviews are very accurate and informative. I’m glad you mentioned the homeless community at Waimanalo Beach. We were surprised the first time we were there. Its my husband beach because its less crowded. Maybe a hike series next?

I went to Lanikai beach today and they now have removable signs that say “No Parking 10am-4;pm”. You can park at Kailua beach and walk. Also I was surprised at how many dogs are allowed at Lanikai & many beaches. I’m not a fan of swimming with dogs.

Just returned from my honeymoon, Lanikai was the best beach in Hawaii!

Worth mentioning that it's an easy paddle from Kailua Beach to Lanikai, so that's a great way to get there if you don't want to deal with the parking.

They are both different. about 10 min walk. they are right next to each other

Question, where can you park at Lanaki Beach and where is the public entrance at?
Parking is difficult its only residential area. Yes, the beach is public and there are entrances
Do you know any beach area with BBQ grill thats open for public use?! thank you
Most state beach parks have BBQ grills (ex: Waimanalo, Kailua, ect)
Is the secret island beach still accesible or do I need the tour from the ranch?
Yes it is!
You address problems with belongings being stolen. If we want to go snorkeling, can we leave our towels and backpacks on the beach. Will they be there when we get back?
it's not 100%. There are reports of bags being stolen. We suggest to cover your bags with towns so they are not exposed and burry your valuables in sand under your towel

Secret Island Beach is not very cool. You pay money to go to a beach that is as crowded as any other....not worth it. Just go to the park at the end of the point.
