Retirees who struggle to meet their basic needs are the ones who could not accumulate enough money during their active years to meet their needs. Retirement choices determine a lot of things. My parents both spent same number of years in the civil service, but my mom was investing through a wealth manager, and my dad through the 401k.
This is true. I'm in my mid 50's now. My wife and I were following this same trajectory. Last two years, I pulled out my money and invested with her wealth manager. Not catching up with her profits over the years, but at least I earn more. I'm making money even before retiring, and my retirement fund has grown way more than it would have with just the 401(k). Haha.
Its unfortunate most people don't have such information. I don't really blame people who panic. Lack of information can be a big hurdle. I've been making more than $287k passively by just investing through an advisor, and I don't have to do much work. Doesn't matter if the economy is misbehaving; great wealth managers will always make returns.
I won't pretend to know everything, though. Her name is Rebecca Lynne Buie but I won't say anything more. Most likely, you can find her basic information online; you are welcome to do further study.
Most people don’t realise it, but the secret to retiring comfortably is finding a way to make returns while your money works for you. My dad, as I remember, started saving for retirement quite late, but I know he was making more than 10k returns from his investment monthly and it was completely passive.
Haha. Investing enthusiast? Not really. Our family got introduced to a financial advisor about four years before my dad retired. That was what changed things. I've been using the same now and I think my retirement income would be on the right track.
@@michaelwiebeck3 I'm intrigued by this. I've searched for financial advisors online but it's kind of hard to get in touch with one. Okay if I ask you for a recommendation?
Finding financial advisors like Annette Christine Conte who can assist you shape your portfolio would be a very creative option. There will be difficult times ahead, and prudent personal money management will be essential to navigating them.
I believe the retirement crisis will get even worse. Many struggle to save due to low wages, rising prices, and exorbitant rents. With homeownership becoming unattainable for middle-class Americans, they may not have a home to rely on for retirement either.
Got it! Buying stocks during a recession when prices are down could be a good move. You might get them at a lower price and sell later when they go up. Just do your homework and be aware of the risks before diving in!
That's awesome! Investing in stocks with a reliable trading system can lead to great outcomes. It's fantastic that you've been working with a financial advisor for a year now. Starting with less than $200K and being just $19,000 away from making half a million in profit is impressive! Keep up the good work!

good day Jean, I opted to retire at 45 after getting pretty burned out in my corporate job. Although it pays very well, the stamina to go on just slowly dissipates with age. Now, I just live a very simple life with zero debt and plus, I have a lot more freedom
At 35, I'm diving into investing for the first time. I’ve started contributing to my 401K and opened a Roth IRA with automatic contributions. My main question is whether asset allocation is crucial at this stage or if I'm just overthinking as a beginner.
I wholeheartedly agree-having a professional oversee my investments has been incredibly beneficial. With my busy schedule, I don't have the time for detailed stock analysis, so I've entrusted a financial advisor with managing my portfolio. During the COVID-19 outbreak, I maintained a fully invested position, and I'm thrilled to report that my portfolio has increased fivefold in just five years, now nearing the $1 million mark.
Those are remarkable returns! May I ask who is assisting you with your investments? I'm eager to start investing for my retirement as well, but I'm uncertain about how to get started. At the moment, I'm only contributing to my employer-sponsored 401(k), but I've noticed that the returns have been rather sluggish.
Rebecca Lynne Buie has consistently been my top recommendation. She’s widely recognized for her expertise in financial markets and has a strong track record. I highly recommend her.
Retirement is not an end, but a new beginning. Your dedication today will pave the way for a great future full with financial security and the freedom to pursue your passions. Big ups to everyone working effortlessly trying to earn a living while building wealth. I’m 50 and my wife 45, we’re both retirees with over $4million in net worths and no debts, currently living smart and frugal with our money. Saving and investing lifestyle made it possible for us this early, till now we earn monthly incomes passively..
Alright so generally, investing requires a higher knowledge. For this reason it’s important to have a solid support structure which is a Financial Advisor to assist you through especially in shares or assets picking. I operate with John Desmond Heppolette, a certified financial advisor who partners with a license wealth management firm. For the record, his services has been the best for my finances. I would be retiring or working less in 5 years, and I'm curious to know best how people split their pay, how much of it goes into savings, spendings or investments, I earn around $250K per year but nothing to show for it yet.
Your money is stagnant when you save, I will advise you buy stocks with market-beating yields and shares that at least keep pace with the market for a long term. For a successful long-term strategy I recommend you seek the guidance of a broker or financial advisor.
@@fresnaygermain8180 I personally worked with an investment advisor to diversify my $200k portfolio across multiple markets, resulting in over $980k in net profit from high dividend yielding stocks. What can i do? I am 58 years old and on the cusp of retirement. I have been incapacitated since 2009. My wife is retiring at the age of 53 in three months and my $750k portfolio is down to $492k. While we were both still in good health and could enjoy spending time outdoors doing the things we loved to do, we wanted to retire. Since our marriage of 29 years ago, we have been investing and saving money in anticipation of this. It's a good idea to get married to someone who shares your views on this. To retire earlier than your colleagues, you and your partner will need to work together. To your first point, I can definitely relate.

Most Americans find it hard to retire comfortably amid economy downtrend. Some have close to nothing going into retirement, my question is, will you pay off mortgage as a near-retiree, or spread money for cashflow, to afford lifestyle after retirement?
Agreed, the role of advisors can only be overlooked, but not denied. I remember in early 2020, during covid-outbreak, my portfolio worth around 300k took a slight fall, apparently due to the pandemic crash, at once I consulted an advisor in order to avoid panic-selling. As of today, my account has yielded big fat yields, and leverages on 7-figure, only cos I delegate my excesses right.

FIRE is a great concept. However, people often forget in order to retire from something, they need to have built the capital. And to build the capital - you need to have a high income, either from work or business - and invest it prudently to enjoy passive income in the future. Which inevitably means you would need to endure stress at least for a portion of your life. If you have a mediocre job that only covers your existing bills - it is not possible to retire at all, no matter how much you try to save the pennies. Conclusion: put effort in acquring skills that will give you a high income to begin with. Totally agree with curbing the useless consumption though, no matter what level of income. Less material possessions = higher quality of life.
So true; this is me. I achieved early retirement but only after decades of high earning, high consumerism and poor health. So you're going to sacrifice at least some health and considerable time to get to the point where you can retire early and not live in poverty. I only wish I had been deliberate in planning my early retirement about 10 years before I actually started getting serious about it (after suffering a stroke). Even then, after recovering from the stroke, it took me years to start getting myself partially retired, and years more to get properly retired (never 100% though). I don't think anyone needs to achieve "full" retirement, that's not actually desirable, but that's a whole other discussion.
I am currently in my 50s and This is no time to taper retirement savings. I want to max out my retirement contributions and I also have another $120k in a savings account that I want to invest in a non-retirement account. Where would you invest this as of now?
@WilliamsJulians The issue is people have the "I want to do it myself mentality" but are not equipped enough for a crash and, hence get burnt. Ideally, advisors are reps for investing jobs, and at first-hand encounter, my portfolio has yielded over 300% since 2020 just after the pandemic to date.

Hi Jean, great video! I'm 40 this year, and I've just tendered my resignation and retreat from toxic workplace environment. The micro-managing boss requirement had make me feel so suffocating that I had to go for ECG to check that my health is ok. I do concur with you, health matter more than high paying job. I don't want to end up spending all my hard-earned money treating my illness in the hospital!
Indeed, the work environment is crucial. Even if the organizational structure leaves much to be desired, having a positive and supportive team can make a significant difference. However, a toxic atmosphere can be extremely draining, affecting not just your energy but also potentially leading to mental health issues. Wishing you good luck and all the very best in your future endeavors.

The toxic work culture is pervasive worse after covid it’s truly dog eat dog plan early retirement t get out of the toxic rat race
You are correct. Studies have shown those who retire early, providing they stay active and engaged out live those who retired at normal age of 65-67. I am jealous that I couldn't retire at 38 like you, but planning to walk away at 55, when we will be financially able. Retirement also means doing what you want, because you can, instead of working at a stressful job because you have too!!
when you're doing something you like , earning good profit and no one is your boss , it's as good as being retired . No longer in the rat race and corporate stress . everyday sleep on time till you wakes up naturally , full of enthusiasm for the day and every other day is a bliss . That's a retired lifestyle .
I agree! I think that’s the new modern version of retirement. We all wanna stay busy and filled w purpose till the end these days but with the freedom of self determination
Good afternoon! Yep, agree with you especially about health and intuitive living. I can already feel such big differences in myself between 20s, 30s, and now early 40s when it comes to traveling and living day-to-day life in general, and it isn't just health, it's also the level of enthusiasm, worries, fears (i.e. I could backpack all over the world in my 20s and 30s without worries, but now that I'm older, I often worry about flying, getting sick, etc.). I'd like to add too that if we think we can't afford to retire yet, then let's not wait until retirement to do some of things we want to do while we're still working. It puzzles me when people say they want to wait until retirement like 60 to travel the world. By then, naturally, our knees and hips won't be as good, our dietary needs will be more fussy exactly like you said, etc. It's no fun traveling the world with all those little issues that just come to us naturally as we age. Also, many people often say they can't afford to retire sooner than the official age like 65, but then this is another topic to discuss I guess. "How much is enough to retire with?" because we might not need as much as we think if we pursue a simpler, humbler, healthier life with minimum stress sooner than later, right? And if we don't need as much, then we may be able to afford to retire sooner than we think!
Hi Jean, always enjoy your videos! I couldn’t have said it better about early retirement! As a retired early financial planner; I saw so many clients put off their dreams until retirement only to have health issues in one or both of them preventing their travel dreams and health problems eat up their life savings. Downsize, plan, and retire EARLY and live your dreams NOW. Your videos are great inspiration!
The older I get the more this is apparent to me. But I always talk myself out of it and stick to the "safe" options due to fear. I have been brought up very risk adverse and I'm always scared to take the leap. I think it helps to surround yourself with like-minded people who understand your desire and maybe already have experiences to help and advice going in this direction but most people I know are stuck in the same rut or don't even consider that another way of living is an option. I am trying to get the needed motivation and support online but it's difficult if real life always pulls you the opposite way and makes you question yourself. On the other hand the fear of wasting my life and not making the most of it becomes bigger all the time.
@@br8979 Your experience sounds familiar to me. I think many of us have had similar struggles and fears about the future. I'm a 53 year-old American, very recently retired and moved to SE Asia. A very big part of what helped me make the leap has been surrounding myself with people who think and live differently. I also still have many friends who remain in the rat race. Some of them are inspired by my decision, while others think I'm crazy. I think Jean makes some great points in this video, some of which buck conventional thinking on security and retirement. You only live once. Good luck to you!
@@muprock retiring at 53 is a big dream for many (still late compared to Jean but very early for usual standards), well done for choosing you and taking the leap! I think you are right, the people we surround ourselves with have a big impact on our lives and decisions. Wishing you all the best and enjoy every moment of your retirement!
This is sooo true! We always think that we need to work and save to have money to look after ourselves if we are getting ailments later on but hardly anyone considers the fact that we might not even get these issues if we take the time to look after ourselves and our health properly before. Stress is the biggest factor of illnesses, yet we accept it in an attempt to protect ourselves. I think it's time to reconsider fast as prevention is alway better than treatment, which at some point might not even help anymore. Live now instead of planning for a future you might not even get to at your current rate.
Thanks BR this comment really fleshed out clearly my first point about health and immunity. I’ve been dealing w a spate of my older relatives all succumbing to age and health issues so this has been on my mind a lot. Prevention so much better than cure sigh 👍🏼
@@JeanVoronkova Yes, I had only watched 10 seconds of your video and the message really hit me. As you mention later on, we tend to feel invincible and a lot of the time postpone living our life because of things we feel we need to do. Am 58 retiring next year but the thought of retirement gives me weakness. My apologies to everyone who have retired and filing social security during this time after putting in all those years of work just to lose everything to a problem you never imagined to happen. It’s so difficult for people who are retired and have no savings or loved ones to fall back on.
True, It has never been easier to understand how to build your money after retirement than it is right now with the inflation, when you may study and experience a completely variegated market passively by employing a successful portfolio-advisor. The impacts of the U.S. dollar's gain or fall on investments, in my opinion, are complex.
Even if you’re not skilled, it is still possible to hire one. I was a project manager and my personal portfolio of approximately $850k of my retirement pension took a big hit in April due to the crash. I quickly got in touch with a financial-planner that devised a defensive strategy to protect my funds and make profit from my portfolio this red season. I’ve made over $250k since then.

Hello Jean, I enjoyed your video, excellent content regarding retire as soon as you can. I retired this year in March 2023 at 51 years old. I'm planning to go back overseas to live months at a time in areas to retire like Hua Hin, Thailand and visit Bali Indonesia. To lower expenses and learn a new life cultures. The main phase in retirement i notice is to continue the social connections to belong and interact with new friends to be part of that new community of friends to live in retirement. Changing the mindset is important to live and enjoy life while you can physically and mentally participate, you are right the general society model of 65 plus to retire is outdated. To retire early you have to leave material things that cost a lot alone and be free from them. i feel better in the morning to do what i like to do with passion without constraint of an employer asking me to be accountable for work. Now, I'm having excitement in this life to be free. I don't want to waste no more of my precious gift of life God has given me. great video!

Hi dawn. Most of my college friends assumed that with my motivation and intelligence that I would become s multi-millionaire. Three that I know have a net worth at least at 1 million. Yes, college was easy for me, socially, athletically, academically, but not financially. Out of college I first worked for a steel service center. I saw business and sn office from the inside. Glad I did not study finance or business. The basics were rather easy for me--- I had a gift. By age 26 I retired, moved to San Francisco with my future wife, and at my age we have been married for 45 years. She is a service worker and the best amatuer photographer I know--- and I have known and worked for a few highly talented and successful artist-types. I won't mention names. As a craftsman-designer, many of my customers would say that I was the best in California. Thanks. I have never worked for celebtities such as SF 49ers or musicians, or movie stars. They are surrounded by the managerial/professional class. I have worked for Silicon Valley top execs though. I worked in the home of an SF financial advisor. I asked him about investments. He told me to invest in myself. 😁 I worked for the top exec at the fruit logo company in Cupertino. He thought the company could benefit from a creative genius like me--- his words. Point here: most of my friends from college told me I was much smarter than the rest of them. Maybe wise--- but they were highly intelligent people. What is true wealth?
I would also add sixth. The chance to enjoy time with aging parents. I am not retired but will be in 5 years in late fifties and i spent any time i have enjoying life with my dying mother . I do wish i was retired as it is stressful being torn between job and parents.

As I approach retirement, ensuring the stability of my 401k after the turbulent year of 2022 is a top priority. I've come across stories of investors achieving up to $270k in ROI during this current declining market. Any advice on enhancing my ROI before retirement would be highly valued.
Many people underestimate the importance of advisors until their emotions lead to financial setbacks. I recall a couple of summers ago, during my protracted divorce, when I needed a significant boost to keep my business afloat. I conducted research and found a highly qualified licensed advisor. She has effectively increased my savings from $220k to $740k, even in the face of inflation.

On point. 95% of white collar jobs involve staring at a screen for 12-14 hours per day and includes time at weekends. The fun has gone. Employers use monitoring software to ensure that your life is dictated by screen time . What a life to reflect on when on your deathbed. Second you’d be financially illiterate to retire in Singapore. Being from a highly-stressed working environment , I’ve lost ex- colleagues to death aged : 52,57,59 and 65.
Life is meant to be enjoyed. We can all change our programs about what is possible. Expand our minds and create the life we truly want :) it is possible! Much love and thx for a great video
Thanks for sharing your early retirement experience. Without good health and fitness sure can’t enjoy and do much in general. Financial is a major concern and living cost is so expensive global-wise. Never been Bali and would love to explore next year.
cheers mate. I empathise. We may hv retired but global financial developments are of course still pretty alarming so its a huge comfort we live in an affordable place that makes us very happy.
such an interesting concept. it helps that you're a lawyer before if i read correctly and a laywer or any salary and living below your means will help a lot. But what i got from this video is retire early, in the mental sense and enjoy life and live life, thanks for this neat perspective
Thank You for the video Jean, it gives an insight on how early retirement can be as long as one is willing to put in the effort instead of being a couch potato. Keep up the good work
Ohh my goodness. This is so motivating! My goal is to retire by the time the kids are finishing school, so I'll be 55 then. But it sounds like it's doable more early. I want to spend quality time with my husband and kids. ❤
Hi Jean, No objection from me. I totally agree with you on the early retirement. Early retirement does not mean that one does not work. It means that one gets to do the things of his/her own interest. It is always great to have such options and I deem it as a way of exploring one's interest as per his/her desires. No big deal if one fails in his/her retirement as long as he/she makes such decision after careful thoughts. WTK
Absolutely agree. And these days it’s no big deal if first time round it doesn’t work out ideal. the best things in life usually takes much work. It’s ok if we need to try first n then tweak the formula couple times to get things right

Excellent! We retired at age 62, expensive health insurance until age 65 and Medicare. We limited our retirement withdrawals in order to qualify for Obamacare or ACA and that saved us over $25,000 per year in heath insurance premiums. In Alaska the income threshold to qualify was $89,000 for a couple.

Greetings Jean! It is 00:30 on 06/03/2023 here in #Seattle. This video is interesting. In my opinion, people should retire at whatever age their finances will support them doing so.
Hey abs! Sleeping late? Hehe! The money is one thing really. Mentality (fear that it’s not enough) usually keeps people hanging onto work longer than necessary.
Hi Jean, thanks for the inspiration for early retirement. I'm also 38 (now) and I am at an OK position to retire if I move to a cheap country like Bali or Vietnam. I've been saving and building at wealth since 25. However, my bf who I've been with for almost 3 years is not in the position to retire. So I'm kind of trapped in Australia (where we live and super expensive) and forced to keep working if I want to be with him....
As an investing enthusiast, I often wonder how top level investors are able to become millionaires off investing. . I’ve been sitting on over $545K equity from a home sale and I’m not sure where to go from here, is it a good time to buy into stocks or do I wait for another opportunity?
Yes, a good number of folks are raking in huge 6 figure gains in this downtrend, but such strategies are mostly successfully executed by folks with in depth market knowledge

Considering that I am only three years away from retirement, it becomes challenging for me to solely concentrate on the long-term perspective. Despite having invested in reputable companies and having a significant amount of funds allocated, my profits have been stagnant. This situation raises the question: Does the current recession and unstable market offer any calculated risk opportunities for generating profits?
I understand your concerns, my friend. I recommend exploring passive index fund investing and expanding your knowledge in this area. Personally, I experienced both successes and challenges when initially seeking a reliable passive income......,>>>>>
My dear Jean, the image you drew for retirement is simply great, but the big question is what to do with the finances! I mean how to manage your expenses when you don't work!
Hi Nancy, how we managed to settle the finances was that in the years before, we were making money from our business but living frugally and saving the excess and then we invested in a number of small properties that gave us some modest passive rental income monthly and the amount is enough for us to cover our monthly expenses in Bali 😊 so it was overall years of planning and saving and careful managing plus a lot of luck I guess.

Very nice video! I agree 100% except for "job you don't care for". If you like your job, and the knowledge and satisfaction you gained from doing your work, then as long as you have enough time to spend with your family (in my case I am 100% at home all the time doing remote work), I don't see any reason to stop working, even if it's part time in your later years. I really like my work and it give me lots of rewards, not in monetary sense. Sometimes, retirement is not what brings joy, but misery and often retirees feel they have nothing left to live for after they gave up only thing that gave them meaning in life which was their work. Many retirees, especially men, die soon after retirement I suspect because they have no longer have the driving force that their work was in their life. The key thing is - do you have enough happiness, social connections and activities outside of your work to keep you fully occupied and enjoying your life after you retire? If no, then retiring might be hazardous to your health, happiness and your satisfaction of your life.
I 100% agree with you! I am 45 and stopped working last year and wish i had done it sooner. Anyone younger reading this, take the time to financially educate yourself and start investing as soon as you can. I started in my 30's but wish i did in my 20's. I love your channel Jean :)
I agree with so many of your points. My dad died at age 92. But his health started declining in his mid to late 80's and his ability to fully enjoy life ended long before age 92, because of his health problems. I think it's a mistake to try to optimize your income at age 92 when you may not be able to enjoy it.
I would love to know more about the social skills that are needed to retire. Because I want to start doing my own thing and stop living my 9-5. But I'm afraid of losing the community I feel work gives and that I won't be able to create my own community outside work. Would love to know your experiences and thoughts on that. Again, thank you for sharing your knowledge and your experience and for the inspirations you give ❤

Most people don’t realise it, but the secret to retiring comfortably is finding a way to make returns while your money works for you. My dad, as I remember, started saving for retirement quite late, but I know he was making more than 10k returns from his investment monthly and it was completely passive.
This is really amazing though. I'm curious as to how he did it. Was it real estate? Or he was a market enthusiast?
Haha. Investing enthusiast? Not really. Our family got introduced to a financial advisor about four years before my dad retired. That was what changed things. I've been using the same now and I think my retirement income would be on the right track.

I believe the retirement crisis will get even worse. Many struggle to save due to low wages, rising prices, and exorbitant rents. With homeownership becoming unattainable for middle-class Americans, they may not have a home to rely on for retirement either.

good day Jean, I opted to retire at 45 after getting pretty burned out in my corporate job.
There are so many choices to make, and for beginners, it's often best to entrust daily investment decisions to an experienced advisor.
With a multitude of decisions to navigate, newcomers may find it advantageous to rely on a seasoned advisor for their day-to-day investment choices.

Lucky you to move on ! Don't worry about money if you know how to retire early eg in Malaysia
@@br8979 Thanks! I hope you can do something similar when you are ready!
It takes significant experiences to open our eyes how short and precious our lives are. I lost my mum last year and it has put things into perspective. She has always survived rather than lived and I want to break free of that and try to make the most of the time I have left.
@@JeanVoronkova and @B R, good points. The best health insurance I can think of is maintaining a good diet, exercise, proactive care of your dental and general health, and reducing excessive stress - all of which improve quality of life along the way.
I'm 48 and I just put in my two weeks notice at work and have decided to retire. Thanks to a high pay software job for 25 years I'm able to pull this off. Hope to run into you in Bali one of these days!!
That's fascinating. How can I contact your Asset-coach as my portfolio is dwindling?
When ‘Carol Vivian Constable’ is trading, there's no nonsense and no excuses. She wins the trade and you win. Take the loss, I promise she'll take one with you.
thank you for the lead. I searched her up, and I have sent her an email. I hope she gets back to me soon.
I agree with you.
I am a Singaporean and retired in Ipoh, Malaysia 10 years ago at age 42. Our time is precious and everyday is busy but it is on our own time, own target. We enjoyed every single day with our hobbies including searching for delicious food in our day trip drive to other Malaysia states.
Hi Jean! We retired 3 years ago in 2020 at the age of 40 in Singapore. Totally resonate with your reasons as these are also some of the reasons we share on our channel.
Oh nice! Let me pop over n check u guys out 😊
I’m 35 and I’m able to retire right now this video is the best explanation as of to why I tried to get to this point so hard
My grandma is 84, never worked in her life, she raised amazing and healthy children. Life at the farm has a lot of benefits... Guess what, the world didn't collapse, she is still enjoying her daily activities. Kiss kiss to all of the ladies who are overworking just to buy fancy shoes and unnecessary stuff cause they lose their purpose in life.
Housing cost a bomb these days. Even selling a kidney isn't enough to buy a house or pay off student loans. Stop talking from your ivory tower.
Amen to that!
Well said MrsRight2020
I like your name :)
HI Jean, i am 38 years now. I had left corporate life 4 years ago. One of good thing is that i have more time for myself. But one thing we have to master is to self discipline.
agree! but i think self discipline comes naturally on the road as we age and our identification of our priorities become clearer. I think people are pretty akin to fine wine - gets better as we get older and wiser hehe
Hello Jean,
I enjoyed your video, excellent content regarding retire as soon as you can.
I retired at 41, my wife retired at 45..we used retired time to do more natural therapies to repair body and go to church...we felt it blessed and grateful... relaxing life is more important important than wealthy life....
Agree, 100% to all of it!
My husband and I are aiming for the same "lifestyle". Thank you for always reminding me what's important in life. Really appriciate the work you two are doing!💕
Thanks Nastja, all the best to your retirement journey w ur hubs! 🤗🌻🦋
Very inspirational video. I started " my retirement" a year ago by the early 50. It was "a bit late" but now I am able to do things that i like and thank God my health is better. Hope I can extend to other activities. Thank you Jane.
Thank you for planting these seeds of inspiration, Jean! ❤
This seems like the worst period.
Even the market are now very unpredictable.
Started investing recently when the market prices were a bit high, today I am more than 60% down!
Don't be confuse buying the dip in a bear market, with guaranteed future returns.
Just because that company is down 60% + from ATH does NOT make it a sound long-term investment. Make sure you're investing in great companies. kudos to
Sylvia nicolas.
I agree just reached my goal of $500k monthly trade earnings. Setting realistic goals is an essential part of trading.
please educate me, i am willing to make consultation to improve my situation.
Woah for real? I'm super excited. sylvia nicolas strategy has normalized winning trades for me also. and it's a huge milestone for me looking back to how it all started
The first time we had tried, we invested $17,000 and after a week we received $86,400. That really helped us a lot to pay our bills. Cheers from the North 🇨🇦
Inspired by your earlier videos, I came to Bali. I now have been living here since the past 3 months. It's my last week. Thank you for creating all the videos! I tried vlogging before but it sucked all the joy out of my travels.
Anyway, would love to have a chance to see you in person! If there's any events you would be attending or something, please let me know. Thanks and have a great day!
This was so inspirational, thought provoking and emotional to watch. Thank you Jean for encouraging my inner voice to follow my desires. One of the best videos I have seen and exactly at the right time. I wish I had people like you around me in real life ❤
Thanks B R for your time to watch 🌻 I’m glad the video resonated. Life can be awesome, I hope you get to live it that way soon 🤗
Thank you for your sharing. I quit my stressful job in my 30 and I'm feeling better now. Many people are doing jobs that they don't truly enjoy and that's a sad reality in this society. I hope many poeple will wake up early to truly enjoy life to the fullest. Life should be joyous
Point here: most of my friends from college told me I was much smarter
than the rest of them.
I understand the stress as I have been there. But you will be so grateful that you have spent time on your mother when she is not more around. Those will be the memories that you will carry with you wherever you will go in life.
It’s always good to have a financial plan. I work with a licensed planner and fixed-income strategist in LA that helps me sort out these plans of investments
People downplay planner’s role, until they are burnt by their mistakes. That’s why I’ve been working with expert planners like CHRIS RYAN STEWART
I wasn’t sure with investing money for a new car, but I’ve made over $58k since 2022 from learning from Chris and still bought my dream car. Thanks😭
Through closely monitoring the performance of my portfolio, I have witnessed a remarkable growth of $485k in just the past two quarters. This experience has shed light on why experienced traders are able to generate substantial returns even in lesser-known markets. It is safe to say that this bold decision has been one of the most impactful choices I have made recently
Is it possible to get in contact with a person like that?

We are so similar. I´ve been watching your videos and I find them inspiring, relaxing, and reassuring. I too retired at 38 and am the same age as you. I had a high pressure career and just gave it all up after the 2020 layoffs. I make a lot less money now but I am much happier.
When I tell people that I’m retired early in SG, they usually don’t believe me so I give up. I’m still struggling to find the right words to describe someone who is full time living and “opportunistic working”, that is working for a few months per year for new learning experiences or interests if opportunities comes along. I have the same feeling that due to no work stress and full control of our time and sleep, I tends to not falling sick.
Hey, where did you live before you retired in SG and what do you do for "opportunistic work", anything that comes up or things relating to your previous experience? And do you still get a pension somewhere at some point?
@@br8979 I’m retired in place in SG. Went back to old company to do temporary work for a few months, just focusing on a few project based tasks. Here in SG, we depends on our CPF payouts from 65 onwards. Of course cost of living is generally higher in SG but it is also possible to find cheaper alternatives if we choose wisely e.g. go for hawker food instead of restaurant and buy house brand products from supermarket/watch out for sales.
Hi Jean, thanks for addressing this and this is exactly how I feel right now. I retired at age of 39 , 3 years ago. Indeed I have more quality of life now and work on my health, family and relationship. I get to wake up naturally, eat better, exercise outdoor daily, calmer with inner peace. Which is also good to people around me to receive the positive energy. Meanwhile, learning new skills and diversify investment portfolios and keep up with the world market and issues. I am also fully agreed with your, that we can always go back to make money if it's needed, with the additional experience we gain from retiring early. I seriously enjoy the little things around us, observing things in a closer look and also learn to be a better person when we are calm inside us. Our mind is shaper than before when we are in this state. Hope to see more of your sharings😊 and I can understand why you picked Bali , from my recent trip there it's indeed a great spot for retirement. Keep up the good voices!!
yay! sorry for the late response but so nice to read this note from you thanks! sounds like we're on very similar paths and timelines in early retirement. I'm glad you seem to be enjoying it so much and squeezing all the juice outta your R too!
This was a really great video that has given me food for thought. Especially when it comes to having fun while you’re still working rather than waiting til retirement. I’ve been so focused on saving/ investing and trying to reach financial goals that it’s hard to pause and take the time and maybe some money to do something fun and worthwhile. Thank you!
I really enjoy your videos and your very practical advise. It takes balls to fo what you have done. Doesn't it feel great? A sense of aliveness I mean.
Retirement planning is an intricate process that necessitates not only strategic foresight but also expert guidance. It’s paramount to align ourselves with seasoned financial advisors who can steer our investments toward optimal growth.

Within just a year of partnering with one of their recommended advisors, my investment portfolio experienced an impressive growth of over 25%, translating to a substantial increase of over $ 300,000.

once again great video, my mantra has always been "regret the things you have done, not the things you haven't"...life is way way too short, I'm 61, and hopping to retire earlier than the UK age of 67.....you will find people will just find excuses not to do things...Peace
Thanks Mark. So true that - too many people r guided by their fears and insecurities and keep putting this step off due to those. Such a pity
Great video Jean! We are moving to Bali too, in July, from Singapore! :)
Good video. I’m a lawyer here in Singapore also, so good to have your perspective. Best of luck to you.
Ah, good luck w the grind 🤗 I remember still v clearly how tough it was. U take care!
Plan on retiring in 2 1/2 years. Doing the hard work now of getting rid of all my possessions. It’s harder than I imagined. Also exploring the potential places to retire 2. I’ve visited the Philippines twice this year to different islands. I’ve gone to Costa Rica and Belize. Next I’ll be visiting Bali and hope to see you if you’re available. I think I’m going to be staying in Ubud on the recommendation of Dan from Vagabond Awake TH-cam channel. Thanks for the video
Let me know please! I’ve been thinking about it lately and I have been watching lots of TH-cam videos. Still don’t know when and where and how 😮

How can I get in touch with your advisor? I'm interested in finding a more effective investment strategy for my savings.

Biggest congratulations on retiring early!! 🎉 I have recently turned 30 and my goal for this decade is to retire before 40! ❤😊

But what i got from this video is retire early, in the mental sense and enjoy life and live life, thanks for this neat perspective
those are great takeaways, i'm glad that's what you got out of the vid!
live only once, manage your finances, follow your heart, find your happiness, spread kindness..

Thank You for the video Jean, it gives an insight on how early retirement can be as long as one is willing to put in the effort instead of being a couch potato. Keep up the good work

Hi Jean, I am a new subscriber and I loved your video. Very genuine and well done...straight from the heart!
Man I didn't this was a topic on youtube. Good luck guys
Ohh my goodness. This is so motivating! My goal is to retire by the time the kids are finishing school, so I'll be 55 then. But it sounds like it's doable more early. I want to spend quality time with my husband and kids. ❤
Hi Jean,
No objection from me.
It’s ok if we need to try first n then tweak the formula couple times to get things right
Thank you Jean!!.. You inspire us to figure out how to quit our nine to five and exit the rat race even faster!! ...
Thanks Olivier for this kind comment :) we must all figure out how to let go at the earliest appropriate moment :)

Hello Jean. I'm 43 years old and I'm retired from the U.S Army . I served 20 years in the states Army and I was 39 when I retired. That is so good that you was able to retire at the age of 38. Jean also you look so beautiful and gorgeous for you're age. Also you look younger than 38 Jean sweetheart.
Hey hey Dom I’m already 40! Time flies but it’s already been 2 years since we settled down in Bali in retirement 🤭🤭🤭 i missed the fact that previously you were 39 at your retirement! That’s also really young! 20 years in the states army! U started at 19 hey! Did u enjoy your time in service?
@@JeanVoronkova yes I did enjoy my time in the Army. At times it was hard but I made it threw those 20 years.
20 years at one job is a real measure of resilience and responsibility. I had trouble staying on more than 2 years at one law firm back in the day. Good on you Dom! sorry for the late reply btw just trying to get thru all the comments i missed whilst i was travelling w the fam!
This is the only video that's given me confidence in retirement at 40.
My RE gone is fill with learning about RE (life is about learning) & trying to show my better half why it's better to pull the cord earlier than later. It's also about growing the nest egg so we won't be a burden on our kids Lateef in life. Also, travel travel travel!

In my opinion, people should retire at whatever age their finances will support them doing so.
Hey abs! Sleeping late? Hehe! The money is one thing really. Mentality (fear that it’s not enough) usually keeps people hanging onto work longer than necessary.

Hello Jean, I love your videos. Can you please tell me more info on the house you live now...how much per month and where is it. Love the garden.

@@JeanVoronkova Thank you very much for sharing, it was really good management and planning. I wish you all the best, I follow your channel and like your videos a lot. All the best dear.
Hi Jean..seriously love your quality videos..and the energy between you and your husband..makes for an attractive channel.
Can you tell me about the vaccination policies..I really miss coming back to Bali
Most of us Westerners are living a lie and don't realise this is happening till it's too late. Thanks for your message.
It's worse than a lie. Life expectancy was less than 65 when "65" was instituted. Head scratcher.
