What a lot of people seem to forget is that you're unlikely to get a "Chef" position without the experience of being a cook first. Remember, the chef is the head of the kitchen. Meaning when it comes to proving your work experience for the skills assessment, if you pick "CHEF" , you probably won't have chef hours to show, but you'll probably have cook hours instead. In summary, cook is the safest option. (This is assuming you've studied in Australia and newly graduated seeking PR) and doesn't apply to experienced candicates.
