Cool airport
the sign that says no video and pictures is meant for beyound the fences. the path you are on is okay you can take pictures and flim with your phones.
You don't have to pay if you want to go higher....you only pay for activities like the bouncing net, mirror maze, etc. You can go up there at no charge
Welcome to stop over in Singapore.
The building is called Jewell and the Votex is the waterfall.
You only had to pay for your luggage to be stored. No payment to visit Jewell or the waterfall.

Hello. Just saw your vlog by chance. Welcome To Singapore Changi Airport, even if it is just for transit. 😁
Actually you can continue to use your camera or handphone to take video/pictures along the Jurassic Mile. The sign is just to warn you not to take the airport side (where the planes are parked), and also to increase the effect of suspense as you walk the Mile.
To really explore the whole airport (all the terminals & Jewel), you will need to go all the air-side of the airport and then pass thru immigration for Jewel as well as all other facilities on the land-side. Of course if you are leaving Singapore the the process is the opposite of what I've just mentioned.
For your information, your boyfriend's guess that you'll need about 1 day to explore is not very far from the truth. I suspect you may need more than 12 hours. Hence, the luggage storage of 24 hours as indicated at the Storage Counter Signage.
The no video or photography signs were for the airport facilities. Filming and photography is totally fine for Jurassic Miles.
