35 seconds into this and my jaw just dropped .....im not even listening to you because that garden is stunning to me !!! Stay bright , plants love light !
Chamomile tea is among my favorite. One blend we use nightly is mullein, chamomile, peppermint, and lemon balm. Sometimes i'll swap the peppermint with spearmint, or add some self heal and echinacea just depending on how we're feeling. I'm trying to grow enough herbs to sustain our use without having to purchase any.
I love this! Thank you for the thorough presentation and glimpse of your beautiful garden. I wish I could grow this here in the South. I have to settle for purchasing dried flowers. I make a syrup of chamomile that is very effective for sleep. I sometimes stir a spoonful into warm milk before bed.
Cammomile is one of my favoriets and it is indeed very powerful. I also made the fault to consider it as “sweet”, but just chewing a dried flowerhead changed my mind pretty quick 😅. Also macerated in oil it’s very inflammation modulating and pain relieving for muscles and tendons used topically. It is often referred to as mild, and it is kind of, but over using it can lead to reverse effects in the digestion- and nerveus system. Drinking to much of the infusion can lead to it, but also and very certain the beautiful and very powerful essential oil used topically. My mum can’t use this herb anymore nor as a tea, and not even just smell the essential oil… makes her nauseous. that’s my bad 😞 but her knee and arm are fine now. Just really watch out using this essential oil for longer term or of and on. The latter happened. When she didn’t feel the pain anymore, every time she forgot to apply it for some more days as I told her to do, so it came back and she kept on applying it of and on and then started doing it to long. Helped great with the knee and arm, but she can’t use it anymore. So yeah I learned from that and wanted to share this. I would do it differently now 😅 love your lessons. Thank you so much for once again a beautiful and informative video on one of my fave’s from Venus (imo)
I live in tropics.. and work and use lots of local bitter plants.. but the only imported thing I still buy is chamomile.. because that plant is so magical.. beyond its health benefits.. I am so happy you made this video.. you point it well- digestive issues caused by nervous system.
Thanks you two for amazing information!! I'll have to say the first time distilling chamomile, when I seen the blue oil it blew me away! I love this plant and since learning through the Evolutionary Herbalism program, coupling it with yarrow is quite dynamic!! Love you guys! Keep up the life changing wisdom!!🙏
Being someone who creates natural healing beauty products, I am wondering if chamomile harvested myself and then gently put an oil and a very low heat could be added to say and roll on oil or a body lotion. Do you think that topically using chamomile would be as beneficial or somewhat beneficial as someone who is taking it internally question mark.
Fantastic video - thanks so much for the in-depth view of this plant. Do you have to buy essential oils for the effects or can you harvest the leaves and other parts to get the benefits? More videos like this please!
More videos like this coming💚 And no essential oil needed, just the flowers and leaves which you can grow easily or find in stores super easily as well. Hope that helps!
Thanks so much - loved this (listened on the podcast first). I was wondering (and sorry if I missed this) if the poperties you describe are for both Chamomilla recutita and Chamaemelum nobile? Or would you need a blend of both? I am thinking of giving to a teen with anxiety that's having a knock-on to feeling sick and not eating properly.. thanks so much Sajah - totally love your teaching 🙏💚
Will chamomile be a good herb for over heated/toxic liver? To cool the liver i mean? I heared milkthistle is more heating herb for the liver. And than balanceit out with agrimoni
Unfortunately we are not able to give herbal suggestions or recommendations on social media. Each person is complex with a lifetime’s health history which needs to be carefully assessed before choosing which herbs may be supportive to an individual. We believe herbalism should be customized to each person, which is why we don’t feel it’s appropriate to offer general recommendations based on symptoms. I have fresh chamomile flowers with stems, how do I wash them before making tea🌾
Did you read what I had written or just gave me a ❤️
How do I wash the flowers before tearing?
Hi there, we have many comments to answer, so thank you for your patience. You can just rinse them with some water :)
@@EvolutionaryHerbalism my question may have sounded strange but I am in a country where the water is questionable, thanks 🙏
Which camomile is that? Latine name please
Matricaria recutita
Yay!
🙏
💙
I learned you can grow it from tea bags.
