I don’t even understand why you would take off the million tiny screws then??? It slides back to expose those other 4 regardless. I came looking for information on how to take it apart even further and seen this one first, but I want to remove the fan to blow it out inside there.
I've been looking for that myself, but I couldn't find my specific Dyson device. I'll keep looking and post a video if I can find out how. Thanks for your comment.
@ yeah I tried but pretty much only can find ads for it haha. Don’t even understand why they made it so difficult. The error code states to blow off the heating elements, yeah would love to do that haha. Appreciate your help regardless. Did manage to do enough to make it run again yay.
I think this a very bad design fault of Dyson. Notice new ones have a filter you can change. They should give some money back to owners of this fan as it becomes useless and is dangerous over time.
Should really disassemble the unit into 3 sections to clean. One section is where you were at, then you have the shaft which is held in by one T9 torx screw. Then the top portion at the outlet

You don’t have to takeoff that bottom plate to open up the other section to get at the fan turbine.
I didn't know how to do it otherwise. I'm looking for a way to take off more parts though.
I can't take the screws off is there another way you can show me?
what size of screwriver did u use
I don't know. I have a few heads that I change when needed. I didn't keep the box to know the numbers.
Torx T8 for most screws except the single bottom motor screw which is T10
how come Dyson makes it so difficult?

True. And they also have bigger holes so they don’t get stuck with dust like this one.
