I loved the changes color os 11 made for oppo phones. A huge leap in the right and more stock direction. Color os 12 was good in refinement and I didn't notice any battery degradation or performance. I hope color os 13 can add to this. My top 3 favourite android os to use. Also my 2.5 Yr old oppo find x2 pro is getting android 13. I'm so excited
@@Mark-mu4pj yup. It has its problems litteraly a smaller battery by today's standard but is still a powerhouse that doesn't get hot (unless maxed out high graphics games). And the camera is still good. They need to re update that aspect because color os 12 kinda messed it up a bit. Apart from those thing I got no complaints
Large folders were recently ntroduced in IOS (the app launcher), and Huawei added them before Oppo with EMUI 12/Harmony OS 2.0... So Oppo isn't really the first to do that

One key change for exemple I don'y like is in the control center, with the icons for Wi-Fi becoming much bigger. But how often people need to know the Wi-Fi network they're connected to? This is quite rare. So wasting all this space for very added-value, this does not appear beneficial to me. Plus, it makes the UI inconsistent and thus less professional, clean and uncluttered. Also, in the Settings app, the icons had no background with ColorOS 11, which was quite clean and relaxing. In ColorOS 12, this changed with the addition of a solid background, with different colors, and made the UI looks like all other skins, including iOS. Wish Oppo reversed back to this clutter-free design.
well the toggles in notification can be changed as per the user's liking. It's default is wifi and Bluetooth as the larger icons, but if someone wishes to change it with say mobile data then they can do it. And regarding the settings menu, yeah they looked clean but not better. COS 12 menu is more organised and filled with Customizations which COS11 didn't offerred and also those clean background less icons reminded more of oxygen OS than ColorOS
One key question: is it possible to change the color of the keyboard and other items to something more discreet and clean, to have the same colors as with ColorOS 11? With ColorOS 12, the keyboard color tries to match that of the wallpaper, but the resulting colors are hideous, annoying and unlike the wallpaper. My keyboard is for exemple pink, as if it were a toy. Why can't we have a simple color, as before?
well even if they took 1yr time to make this UI still people will say that it's taken from some other UI, so it's a never ending debate on who took it from whom.
Im a bit disappointed, I was waiting them to give us the option to let us set the app drawer horizontally or vertically or be able to create folders inside the app drawer (like on samaung or lg rip)... Or the glitch of the blue light filter not working in lock screen All what they added are some gimmicks.... 😒 Well, With that being said I still consider oppp's ( also Samsung's) OS one of the best u can get It's just Samsung is more feature packed where's oppo is more colorful and playful🙂 But anyway thx for showing us around
@@corsinivideos everyone UI takes something from an other UI. That's a mutual thing which makes the User experience better. For example, Google's Material U customisation of system color is taken from the ColorOS Customizations. Pixel's magic eraser is just an upgraded version of the Eraser tool that we have on the Xiaomi's eraser tool. Huawei's magicUI's settings menu looks somewhat identical to ColorOS 12 settings menu, Google's voice access system is taken from iOS voice access mode,etc. In the end all of these additions of features from different UIs make the new iOS and new Android versions

No matter how much they refine, it doesn't look good as good as stock Android. Adding their skin to android is always make them resource hungry and color OS skin always🤮. Though it's personal choice to use it or not, that's my major reason to not buy a oppo phone. These phones are not even suggested for long run, they are good innovative company which is almost not there in any company including apple.

Tbh i always disable all animations in every OS i use. No animation is smoother than smooth animation

I still don't have a Oppo phone to test their keyboard, but I'm a long Google keyboard user and it's customizations are almost perfect
yep. You can change G-board color in the G-board settings.
Oppo doesn't give their own keyboard like Samsung, it's G-board that they give as default
