Guard needs moving to the operator position not upfront, as your probably aware cables don't break in a straight line they tend to whip, be alot safer and could possibly fold over the machine hood for transport 👍
Yep nice idea. closer to the operator, or above the position, AND, side guards. Maybe make it double wide as it is now, and to make it fit through tight space, it could be foldable on a hinge.
Would the winchx have fitted through the gate and been long enough cable to recover the dug in forklift where you and your friend had to park off road, and use anchors on a garden for cables to go through
Looks like a mini version of the machine Heavy D Soarks made in the USA. Think his was built on a large Bobcat chassis . His I believe is capable of HGV recoveries
I had thought about this but I thought just use a 1 tonne mini digger with a blade . Fit the winch to the blade and it has its own ground anchor . If a car is very stuck use the digger to dig it out . Simple
@GDBRescueandrecovery appreciate the reply Greg. Maybe could add a aux battery to run more. Wee led floods should only draw a tiny amount. Like the new content
Polycarbonate, please don’t use Perspex, unless it’s to stop petrol/diesel from touching your expensive polycarbonate (which micro fractures with contact with fuel/oil etc)
Did you file a report of that rude officer about turning off your truck without letting you turn a part off so it will wreck the gearbox Love all your videos
Greg, What was the story on the recovery with WinchX? One car stuck and second got stuck trying to recover? Why was first car in the remote place anyway?😬
Not idea, but they weren't particularly dug in, just slipping about, so there's not really any resistance. Saves taking the bottom arm strap off and putting it back on again if they got stuck on the lane back out
That'll be for sale by the end of January. 😂
Nooooo! Not this.
@GDBRescueandrecovery alright, February then. 🤣
Hope you and the family had a good Christmas. 👍
@GDBRescueandrecovery u should put a big light bar on the top for extra lighting be so much better
@ restriction on voltage as alterntor only small.
Cracking addition to the gdb fleet and hopefully you keep this one 💪💪👍

Nice bit of kit! Loads of jobs in the past where this tool came in really handy. Think about the previous forklift job. 😅
Excellent machine
Great equipment Greg, look forward to future videos of it in action 💪🏻

Does it have an anchoring point on the back so you can lash it to a tree if your winching on an incline .

Very true indeed! I only need it for light recovery myself GDB
Love video

Greg do you think it could do with some work lights on top of the guard, lighting where you're going and the work area better?
Doesnt have a big alternator unfortunately restricted on power.

Ideally, you need thick plates of steel on the guard, I'm sure you know how fast those winches can snap back on you
100%, the whip back can go any direction regardless if load is under tension at a low height,
Ding dang do 👍👍👍👍👍👍
Nice Landy. You better not sell it or I'm unsubbing! 😆

you should put some hooks on the winch x for your heavy duty d-ring hooks
Got some 🔥

I think u need to get more advertising on the winch u have two bits either side of the face gaurd and a big bit under the face guard
Can you get a remote control for this saves being on the rig
Very true elp engineering will be assisting in this!
U need a remote for safety reasons , lovely tool but could b a dangerous one 2
Lifes dangerous!
Use ELP engineering for your load R 😂

How do people in road cars end up stuck in farmers fields 🤔
You tell me 😂
Blue light isn’t that illegal on anything other than fire, police and ambulances shouldn’t it be amber/yellow .
He is off road so no.
Only on a road. Plenty of plant out there with a blue/purple operating beacon
Who pulls a car out using a towing eye 🤦♂️🤣
Not idea, but they weren't particularly dug in, just slipping about, so there's not really any resistance. Saves taking the bottom arm strap off and putting it back on again if they got stuck on the lane back out
Blue lights are illegal for non emergency service vehicles. No ifs or buts.
no problem if on private property 👍
Listen up Karen, he already commented on this when he got it and guess what? You're wrong! No if's, no buts, just wrong 😂
You're down a farm track and you have all.youre warning lights on
The image you are given people is "Look at me"
Listen karen😂😂@@JeffsWig
@elliothogben why would someone bother with blue lights if they're only permitted to be used working on private property?
Sorry Gregg. Waste of money
All the gear and no idea, just proves you should always use a professional company and not mr GDB
Thanks for watching duck 🦆
Personally I would put the straps over the tracks longways if you pull down to hard on the body you will cause seal's in hydraulic motors to leak.
Wont leak. thats how they’re designed to be tied down
