Wow Ankit, thanks for reassuring my suggestion and well I see you must have had one of the best trips of the life with all those things in place for you :)

Hi !! THANK YOU for all the content, you are really helpfull! I have a question! I'm thinking on doing a circular route doing Leh - Lingshed - Padum - Darcha - Leh. So I return back to Leh via Manali - Leh highway instead of going to Kargil. Another option would be to do the opposite way. I'm going to do it by bike ( Royal Endfield +350cc). Do you think is feasible to do it? Thank you "
Yes Nil, it is possible to the above direction. However, it is important to note that the descend on the passes from Sirsirla and Singela are steep and from Murgumla/Lingsehd to all the way down to Lingshed Junction point towards Zangla is very very very steep and muddy. So, going down in this direction it will put lot of effort on brakes. Plz make sure to use gear braking and let the bike cool down with every couple of hairpin bends.. it is very very important else mechanical failure can happen in the middle of nowhere.
No, I am trying to say is that you can do it this way but plz make sure to give 10-15 minutes rest to the bike after every couple of bends when coming down from Murgumla/Linghsed point to the downmost point towards Zangla. Even if you go from other side then as well same thing applies, just that instead of brakes engine willl be on load in other direction.
Dheeraj Bhai please accept my unfeigned regards for all these valuable information 🙏 Please advise me if I should embark on Zanskar trip along with family this summer and I should expect a memorable trip. It all depends on what your driving skills are in mountains and how cautious you can drive. I don’t think that late in season you will need 4x4 capability unless it snows during the days of your travel.. high ground clearance will help you but drive with care a d caution.. do check Leh Ladakh Trip in Small Car - Hatchback / Sedan / SUV | 7 Essential Tips for a Self-Drive Trip th-cam.com/video/MQuxokY-m8M/w-d-xo.html

Thanks Dheeraj for your informative videos, I really look forward to them! Can you help answer: Is it safe to travel by 4x2 SUV like Jeep Compass to Padum from Manali. I have traveled across Ladakh and Spiti in my 4x2 Jeep, but was not sure about Zanskar. I picked up from some videos/blogs that post Shinkula pass there are some dangerous river crossings and a 4x4 is mandatory. Can you help clarify, so I can plan my trip this season.
Thank you brother.. As you have already done such trips, it shall be OK to travel to Zansakr Valley via Shinku La as well. The water crossings have been tamed a bit but it really depends upon season you are traveling. IF you travel in May time frame, and start early in the morning those water crossings should not be an issue. Similarly if you do it towards end of the season like last three weeks of September or first couple of weeks of October, you shall be fine.
@@discoverwithdheeraj Thanks for the quick response. One leading question: Are these water crossings similar to what used to be few years ago between Manali and Kaza or are they worst off? As now they are even tamed and the biggest nalah has a small bridge being made since last two years.
Yes they are similar in nature bhai.. so very leaving early in Jispa and mainly avoiding rains will help you cross them. They are mainly before Gombo Rangjon so that ways if you leave early from Jispa half the job is done
Shakil bhai, buses do not run mostly to Zanskar Valley (Padum).. so it is all shared local jeeps/taxis which you can use to travel in a shared/public transport.

Well it is going to be hectic trip.. if you or anyone in your group do not sleep well at Pangong lake then skip Sarchu and sleep at Jispa after Pangong. Otherwise if you all did not have trouble sleeping at Pangong, you can go a bit relaxed and stay overnight at Sarchu
Ok than I think I should skip srinagar part
Day 1 home to manali
Day 2 manali to leh, know there is risk of Ams but shortage of leaves is there
Day 3 and 4 leh
Day 5 hunder
Day 6 pangong
Day 7 jispa
Day 8 home....
Is this OK???
Do this
Day 1 Home to Solang Valley
Day 2 Solang to Jispa
Day 3 Jispa to Leh
Day 4 Leh rest
Day 5 Leh Nubra
Day 6 Nubra Pangong
Day 7 Pangong Jispa
Day 8 Jispa Home

Can we travel Ladakh in May with 4th month of pregnancy?
Rashmi, I will recommend that you plz check with your doctor and understand the impact of pregnancy & high altitude travel. I am sorry I will not be able to recommend anything on it. So, plz sort medical advice and let them know that you will be traveling to high altitude directly.
Thank you so much 😊
