6:00 There is a quick and easy fix for the strap stick-out issue. Dip the end of the strap in boiling hot water for 10-20 seconds and bend it inward to let it "remember" the form. Then, the strap will hug the contour of your wrist nicely😃
I have a green one and a black one. Main complaint is the uncomfortable band. The day and date could also be bigger. Other than that I love it. I think it has a really cool look and is worth the $33 I paid.
The lack of dual led in the module is an incredible shame. It makes the watch seem so much cheaper. I've become a stickler for the dual led lights as of late. The ae1500 is a much cheaper casio relatively new to the casio line, but still manages to have dual leds. It really is disappointing to learn this is the case with this newer release.
I got the watch for 22 usd so I am not complaining but would have loved dual led. And thanks for your mention of ae1500. Great find. I added it to my whislist

For a 40-45€/USD Casio the specs of this watch are rather disappointing: only one alarm, no DST, no world time, only one small measly backlight bulb on the left side and a thin stainless steel plate tacked onto the case. The Casio Royale eats the MWD-110H for breakfast! Also the dial/screen is too small for a watch this size. There are way too many bezels around it. By comparison its predecessor, the MWD-100H, is a far better (looking) watch: it has 5 alarms, each of which can be assigned to a fixed date or month, strong dual-bulb backlight and the entire top half of the case is metallic. And you can already get it for 30€/USD!

The display is a little bit small(same size as Casio W-737H) for the stainless-steel bezel's size if they made it a couple milimeter bigger it would look more enticing to Casio square enthusiasts. Plus this watch is single LED light only at that price they could have made it dual leds & made the glass mineral instead of acrylic which makes it vulnerable to scratches since the stainless-steel bezel isn't raised. I think the main selling point of this watch is it is the cheaper version of Casio GBX-100 G-shock. I think this watch would sell like hotcakes if priced under $40 I'll buy myself one if that happens🤔🤞🧐
I just ordered this watch for just under 22 USD here in India. It was orinigaly double of that but right now they are running 50% discount on it (most likely because of upcoming diwali festival) I had it in my whishlist and ordered it as soon as I saw the discount. IMO its a steal at 22 usd.

I came across Tim Time Collector's video and he added the AE1200 bracelet to this watch. That stainless steel bracelet on this looks pretty good! Also, the white silicone strap is from Barton Bands :)

as i said before i bought the watch for 45 euro. if you convert that to aus dollars its around 71 australian dollars. why is it double the price in oz. Japan and China is so much closer than europe so the shipping to oz would be so much cheaper
Really disappointed that its resin glass. I like to keep my watches for super long time- I have a G-Shock for more than 15 years, you get the idea. The resin glass casios I have are very scratched now and I dont think I will buy more of resin ones. I know that I can polish them to remove scratches but still. Increase the price by USD10 and make it at least mineral glass. BTW, the price in Australia is CRAZY! It is much cheaper in USA.
Totally agree! I've only had my AE1200 for 2 years and the resin glass is already scratched up. I'd love to see it upgraded with better glass and I think I would be happy to pay a bit extra for it haha
The 5600 is already the smallest G-Shock you can get. As an alternative the WS-1400H has a 2mm smaller lug-to-lug width than the 5600 and should consequently wear better on smaller wrists. It also has a lot more functions than both the 5600 and the MWD-110H.

No wonder - it looks way more badass than the positive display versions. I got one at a sale for €20. For that price you just can't go wrong. But I definitely wouldn't spend more than €30 on this watch. The specs are just too limited.
The viewing angles are alright. It's great when you look at it directly but at a slight angle, the display starts to fade and lack contrast. I'd say it's very similar to the F91w and A158.
I purchased one of these looks cool, battery for 10 years, waterproof 100 meters, a little disappointed with the lighting only one LED, and the resin glass, and a little expensive, I was debating between it and DW 5600E protected against shocks, mineral glass, but the battery only lasts for two years (must replace the battery every About two years including waterproofing), a standard and simple appearance compared to the MWD110H; Accuracy 30 seconds +/- per month compared to 5600E accuracy 15 seconds +/- per month; ו've a difficult decision, in the end I decided on MWD110H. Because of the battery that works for about 10 years, looks beautiful and new, Suitable for my needs.
The light.... Casio why???? And they still release new vintage watches with the same sh!t light... I love Casio but this sucks.

Could it be to stretch the battery to 10 years? Or do dual LEDs operate at half brightness to compensate?
@Vezquex my other 10 year watches have a very bright led backlight. I think this is just a poor exclusion on an otherwise good design.

DW-291 is probably the best release in the last five years and it's going to become a legend as its brother 290.

The 5600 is already the smallest G-Shock you can get.
