I think I solved the Rick Astley paradox. He doesn't 'give' the movie Up, but lets you borrow the movie for as long as you need/want. He never gave you Up nor let you down, thus reality doesn't crumble. Thank you for your time.
I am wondering though if the effect still works when you have them everywhere. Wouldn't they just treat it like a normal crosswalk and speed it like they normally would? Because big floating white rectangle isn't that common on the road, and i'm pretty sure that they need to be constantly maintained to keep the effect
