This place was a Sleep Inn when it was built. Sadly it doesn't look rundown on Street view or line. I hate it when Hotels try to renovate rooms but the rooms still look dumpy after the renovation. Did you ask for a new room?
For the record, that wasn't chewing tobacco... that was DELICIOUS Jack Link's Teriyaki Beef Jerky in a (plastic) tin for hikers. Still, that room COULD be so nice but it's SOOOO filthy!! YUCK!
This place could use a lot of help! Comparable (if this was the case with 3 more rooms) to the Inn at Peachtrees in Atlanta! Also, nice to see SchindlerHaughton again! When will he upload again?
Yep. Yet another in a LOOOOOOOOOOOONG list of reasons I don't stay at Days Inn. Grungy outside and inside. I'd be sleeping on the street before I put my body in one of those beds. UPDATE: Jacob, you have a new follower on TA.
"the gift that keeps giving", LMAO.....love looking behind stuff in motels myself....one time at an old la quinta in memphis i found a porn mag behind a drawer while looking for a plug in
Day's Inns had their heyday back in the 70's when new. Some had a little restaurant attached - some sold gas as well. The best one I ever stayed at was in Daytona Beach - inland near the race track. Cinder block walls - pure solitude and a really cold AC unit. In today's world I will not step foot in any Days Inn - I'd rather sleep in my truck. I have coined a name that fit's........Dirty Days.
I wouldn't let my dog stay there these days. My cousin's wife stayed there and they came back in the morning as they had forgotten a phone. They caught the van driver in her underwear. I will not specify what he was doing as was pretty inappropriate. I notice you never check the obvious places bed bugs are found. . .
Wow. I got to say, this probably the most fun I've seen you have picking apart a terrible hotel since Howard Johnson in Virginia Beach. I don't recall the last time you found hairs on the bed and it almost seemed like you were somewhat enjoying yourself. I'm not saying it's fun to find hairs on a bed, but it almost seemed like you were having fun seeing what this place had to offer for negatives.
I often get so frustrated with Hotel owners minutes before checkout Calling Or Standing @ my door banging / YELLING "You've got five minutes to vacate or we're going to charge you for another night"
Not as bad as some other Days Inns, but still dumpy, and still, typical Inn that has seen better Days!!!! This is why I stick with Marriott, Hilton and Starwood!!! It's a shame you can't afford places like that. :( Not trying to brag or offend you, your reviews are hilarious!!!!
Floridian Elevators there isn't a thing wrong with staying at properties like this. When you are older and have a job you'll understand that sometimes you don't wanna spend all that money for a nights sleep.
tjs468 Yeah. I habe mainky always stayed in nicer places being my Mom is a big Marriott Rewards Elite Platinum Member, so generally we just use points. However, I have stayed in a few crappy motels. Yes, they may be cheap, but you get what you pay for and if your cheap, you will likely be in a scary and filthy place with hookers, drugs, rude staff etc. I personally believe you should pay just a little more to stay in a nicer hotel, but if you find a cheap place with good review average of 4.0 or higher, than by all means, book it!
Floridian Elevators what I am trying to get at is I think your comment questioning Dan's financial choices by saying it's a shame he can't afford better isn't appropriate.
Definately a lot better options to stay in Blue Springs besides this one. I've driven past this hotel on I-70 and even I could tell it looked a little dumpy.
Maybe don't even dare to stay at a days inn if you hate that chain so much Jacob which I know you do! I am actually at a Hampton Inn as I am typing this
Ironically a Days Inn ad played before this video...
Those chairs in the lobby lmao
This brings to mind the Howard Johnson and the Inn At The Peachtress. Amazing how many hotels overlook the simple things!

i know Im kinda randomly asking but does anybody know of a good place to stream newly released movies online ?
The blood stains on the wall by the bathroom door and the condition of the pillows may have been caused by a murder that took place there 6 years ago
Was there an old Victorian house overlooking the motel? :)
Check out Dan bell hotel room videos and there are true hell holes.
Jay Bernard III another dirty room
Looks amazing compared to that
I always wondered, Why did Dan and Dan stop uploading?
I read your Trip Advisor review a while ago. The sarcasm in the beginning of the review had me excited for this video.
I was at the STL Auto Show yesterday

U can travel to the Metro Detroit area to do some hotel tours or reviews.
Did this used to be a sleep inn
I've seen this elevator it looks quite neat.
When are you going to upload the review of the Hampton Inn & Suites Merriam?
Disney Fan I didn’t actually film a review vid on that visit. But I’ll be back there in a few weeks
The Elevator Channel Oh ok

gladfan1989 id rather sleep in my car then a days inn
It would be really cool if you keep the key cards of all the hotels you have been too
What's that black tarp all about at the beginning?

I live in Blue Springs and I feel bad for you that this happened.
Great video 😀👍👍
Was that a days inn renovation package or a sleep inn renovation package?
What was the story with the exterior tarp?
More hotels
I was not expecting the tobacco behind the nightstand. This place looked like it was falling apart.

More hotel reviews
12:57 There actually was a homicide here not that long before your stay.
I come back to these vidieos just to get a kick out of them.

Jack Drees Yeah, we took it with a sense of humor. Staying in gross hotel rooms isn’t fun, but making the review video is :)
Sorry, but who is Dan?
goodDrummerman One of his friends.
YT user SchindlerHaughton
8:47 Did you just swear?!?!
Cool James So? Swearing isn't bad.
Why I stay at Hilton Hotels
Evan Bart 410 Same
I couldn't stay there...omg :( Great review though :)
Reviews By Vince Same
Reviews By Vince Haha, thanks! Dan and I are crazy
I honestly couldn't have slept there. Too many mystery stains.
Do you have a video of the elevator in this hotel?
gluse It was in the video. Wow you are a idiot
You two should call the manager and request a different room if they have one. If they do not, get a refund and go to a different hotel.

tjs468 Not trying to be offensive or rude with my comment, and i even explicitly said that in the original comment.

Ewwwwwww! Who owns the Days Inn chain?
BobEckert56 Wyndham
Disney Fan They should take better care of their properties. 😲
BobEckert56 Yeah but they are franchised
Disney Fan Well the franchisees need to up their game because they are scraping Motel 6 territory. Ugh.
Also Michael D. Brown is the CEO and President of Wyndham
at 9:01 u forgot to bleep that but eh whatever
Emet Playz Why should be bleep that?
@@disneyfan9099 He bleeped the same word earlier in the video lol
Lost it's Sleep Inn Franchise and I see why.
Hotel Traveler Well that's was 7 years ago that it became a Days Inn.
It's definently a nice modern hotel, but doesn't pass the cleanliness department, so trashy and unacceptable.
Not once a month
Definately a lot better options to stay in Blue Springs besides this one. I've driven past this hotel on I-70 and even I could tell it looked a little dumpy.
I always like to see how bad hotels can get
Wow
Well, at least it has an elevator :P
