I just came across your tutorial for these Chinese lanterns, and I'm think Christmas decorations ( perfect ) for the tree or general decorating of the rooms. So THANK YOU. Xxx
OH WOW! If only this was last week, i made my daughter's lantern using a plastic jar and decorated it...lol... i will surely make this next year. Thank you for the tutorial!
Oh wow what a great tutorial I am definitely going to make these, as you say anytime of year decorations. Very interesting also to learn something of the Chinese traditions Many thanks. 🌺
Very pretty Sam, again a 3D project I have never seen before and one that can be made in different sizes too. Great for all us crafters to attempt. :O)
Thank you, Joan, I don't see why split pins wouldn't work. Staples is what they use here in China so I wanted to follow that way. Glue would also work well x
Fantastic as always ! I'm wanting to turn this into a wind chime idea with little bells on the bottom. Do you happen to know if heat embossed areas are resistant to moisture ?
Hi Patricia, if you were to heat emboss the whole area and seal it I imagine it would resist moisture but only for some time. You can buy spray plastic which may help. x
All your lanterns are beautiful good job
How pretty are these? Would love to see more x
What a lovely lantern. We lived in Hong Kong and I loved making lanterns for the lantern festival.

Love these, very nice decoration! Is it possible to close the top flaps with split pens instead of staples?

Looks good but ugh the fold in the middle of the paper though, I CANT STOP IT. But I was using hard AngPaos so....lol. Any tips?
Very pretty. I was imagining them in Christmas paper. Where do you get the tassels.
