I am an engineer in trade now for over 15 years and it felt like Christmas when the hackpack arrived. Amazing integration and made me feel like a kid again.
I'm really glad this is public because when i saw the price i thought it was WAY too expensive and just a "youtuber tax" but after watching this and looking up prices for relevant parts I am really glad to see that this is priced reasonably and is extremely well put together and thought out. keep doing the great work. Although i might not buy it, this is an amazing product and gives me inspiration on small projects i can setup for myself to better my knowledge in microcontrollers.
Mark! Your crunch lab boxes have been such a joy to build with my son. Thank you for your expertise and constant excitement for learning. 🎉 We watch ALL of your videos. He is so inspired by you, he LOVES science and you have made it more exciting for the entire family.
Awesome project. I’m a data scientist and have been coding in Python and R for almost 10 years. I’ve been wanting to get into arduino for several years now but haven’t known where to start. Just finished building it and I’m hooked! My 3rd grade son has been doing crunch labs since the beginning and has grown immensely, but is wanting to learn more about coding. Hack packs will be the perfect project for us to work on together.
just received and assembled mine. i'm so glad that you developed an adult version of the kiddie projects. even though i've been coding since a billion years ago, i've never programmed a microcontroller and servos 😊
I can see where you’re trying to go with this, but these videos are more meant to be tutorials on how to assemble what’s inside the boxes, not for entertainment.
this is just beautiful. the first crunch lab build kits teaches us about pure mechanics while hackpack combines the mechanical side of the product with electronics side. ❤
End of career engineer, with a retired IT professional, looking for things to keep our brains active, keep exploring, and stave off mental atrophy. We can not wait to get our first kit. Thank you so much!
There are 6 on the cylinder, evenly spaced so that firing one is just a single 60-degree spin of the cylinder to move the clip holder over the launch trip.
@@clintsimmons1786 My understanding is you can't spin RC servo by exactly-or-approximately 60 degrees because the potentiometer got removed from the servo to enable 360-degree movement.
@@sarun37823 yea, that seems true. The single-push is just spins it in approximately that amount. If you hold the push longer it spins more, do a quicker push and it'll take 2 pushes to move it past the trigger point.
Actually, you have to press the button until it rotates enough to fire a dart, and then you can stop. It doesn't matter if the robot knows or not the angle

@@GetYourRyOn I verified that the battery worked too in some other remote I had. This was after connecting the board to my computer and downloading the necessary drivers. I put everything back and reconnected the power supply and it just worked.🤷
Love the idea can you make one we’re u can buy own parts and just have instructions, just don’t have a lot money would be awesome to get into these projects.
I still don't understand how the magnetic bullets work i mean how is the bullet released ,cause i don't see how is the end of the bullet released so that it can fire, pls explain
It’s even simpler. Remember in the video when testing the bullets? You push the rubber band in the back up. The firing plate has a little point right at the top. So when the barrel rotates, the back rubber band is pushed up by that little point. No magnets or power needed.

Never make these videos private. It even entices people to buy your boxes.
Yeah, I'd love to be able to watch these videos, they're so good

its not private anymore

39 and got mine today. Thank you Mark and team for helping me learn something I've always wanted to take to the next level.
Im 22 about to order
@@bigred7312 it’s pretty awesome! Hope you enjoy as much as I am 🙏🥳

Im a beginner engineer and I love this turret as a starter!!
This is absolutely awesome. Ive been building CrunchLab boxes with my kids and was always jealous!
This was the perfect thing 🎉
This was so fun to build and mess around with I just got my appendix removed and couldn’t do much so this was great
Mark never fails to entertain us!
This is so exciting! Great to see these fascinating projects finally targeting a more mature audience, it sounds so fun to learn from :)
Mark never fails to put out bangers 🔥
best box ever gave it to my grandson and he absolutely loves it
This was such a fun project and so well explained! Thanks Mark!
I wish this was available internationally.
It is

I got them but haven't had time to put them together. Time will slow down this winter and this will be my first project

same
Just wondering why is it that you cannot buy it?

Cant wait for mine to arrive!
Was thinking about this last week, so excited it came out now! Please make it available in Europe/Intl 🙏
I like Dan. He seems cool 😊
Im glad you make education actually fun!!
3d print a few of the cylinders and pre load them with projectiles so you can reload fast
Kind of like a magazine
omg i should do that
Hi
I really liked the turret.
and I just want to buy the turret
Would it be possible to buy just the turret?
:)thanks
I feel like i just stepped up 10 levels to becoming a mechanical engineer. I can't wait for the next to come!
Where are the metal bolts at step 7
@ If you can’t find some of the parts, contact the support team and they can send some.
What if u make the rubber band stronger?
I can’t find the metal bolts.
I love learning stuff❤❤❤❤❤❤
Is there a way to order the turret robot individually without it being a subscription but just one thing?
Mark, I can't seem to find the metal bolts for step 7, can you help me?
I have the same problem
if you're looking for silver ones, they've been changed to blacked.
does the hack pack come with the software attachments
Nice vid bro
Dear Mark, what do you think of the idea of making a robot similar in design to Chopsticks, but instead of a piano it will be a whole drum kit?
At 17:33, if the robot doesn't know the servo angle, how is it able to fire a single shot?
Does the single-shot firing work reliably all the time?

My pitch servo was uncontrollable and goofing out, overheated and just stopped working. Do I just need a replacement?
Mine did the same. Have you found a solution?
@ well I think my dad emailed and no response
YAY! I Got this for christmas and i really like it. one of my bullets are kinda bent though :(
Where can I buy a hackpack
On his website
I love this thing so much i even named it cycl0ps
Why does my turret always go down when I turn it on?
It’s cool I liked building it but my on and off switch isn’t working
Love it but can you make it internationall because my son wants to get it please 🙏 thank you for understanding
It now delivers to the EU❤
Can you get this in the uk
if the remote isnt connecting how do i make it cuz it wont connect
When does the next one get shipped?

Random Roulette is the Hashtag, not the star button. This drove us crazy until we dug into the code!
How do I code it if a friend enters the wrong passcode, it will shoot at them?
This looks awesome already ordered
I can t connect it to my laptop
Nice job. Really impressive what you all put together, here. Looking forward to trying it myself someday.
how do i connect my turret to my computer
I don't have the box but i can watch the video. ❤
for some reason my turret only has two magnets so it doesn't work at all
I put it together and when I turn it on it just shoots up or down and I can’t move it can someone help
Same idk what to do
It's cause u put it on wrong
@@GoofyGoober3422 oh well, thank you that’s a really detailed description on how to fix it

Por qué no hay uno en español?
How do you charge the battery pack?
There is a USB-C port on the battery pack you can charge with.
My #3 roll motor doesn't seem to be strong enough to rotate the barrel. Did anybody else have this problem, and does anybody have a solution?
Is there a possible way to get only the turret for 66$
