for beginners who have never been on one before, it is not easy to apply just right amount of pressure to the joy stick to move it forward or backward or you would rush into the rackings. Over-steering is very common and very hard to learn to apply just right amount to turn on the steering wheel to move the truck in a right direction.
Definitely you are correct but I am pretty sure once you get the feel on the PIT you would know just the right amount of pressure plus you’ll get to drive it to the location where you’re going to get tested so before getting their try to feel how far you can move the joystick 🕹 to know how fragile it might be . But stay bless
Over-steering can lead to flip over on sharp turns. The steering can be adjust to specific setting delay to counter measure your speed turns, but warehouse company bypass these setting to mass produce their productivity. I have work on these forklift and maintenance it so i know what fuck am talk about. Alot of southern warehouses operate in this function. Scary... So ask questions about safety !!! if you want to go home in one pieces.
Applied for a stand up forklift position and I didn’t have any stand up forklift experience but I said I did but it was a few years back, at the interview now and they are kinda doubting that I know how to drive the stand up forklift. They asked to test me the same day but I asked to use the bathroom before the test and this video saved me lol
Those are some of the nicest, cleanest equipment I've ever seen on a job. At my job...the lifts are all fucked up and ragedy. Sometimes they even cut off while operating them...smh lol
Bro This is One of the Best Training Videos I've Seen Thank You I Have an Orientation in the Am, And I Told Them I Have Drove One, But I Never Have And They Don't Train You Just Throw You Out There
You're incredible my G! You broke it down to where not saying they can't but to were a lil kid could understand how to operate this operating machine. The ops on this reach truck are almost the same as a cherry picker but only on the gear shaft is where it gets interesting. It amazed me how you properly in detailed every in and out about the functions of video. May "God keep blessing" you in every area of your life my G!
You're welcome bro I try to make videos were ppl can actually understand the proper way to use this equipment other videos cutt out the specifics. So yes tha ks for you're feed back.👌🏻
This is very helpful! I just got an Equipment Operator position but I never drive forklift lol. Next week is my training but good thing I already know the basic bec of you! 😎 thanks man!
I know they're going to go over this with me before my forklift training but I just wanted to get a headstart cause im nervous 😂 Great video, thank you for this content!
Thanks homie I start a new job using the Raymond I'm use to operating the Crown stand up reach, when I used it during the interview I thought I was on the Crown lol
Thank you for sharing this video. Starting Monday I have to learn how to use a forklift, never used one in my life, my anxiety level is 101% right now, so scared and nervous. It helps tremendously that you break down every step and we can see you using the controls to operate the lift.
I just hope you get to work in an environment where you get the time to learn to drive one and especially to drive the specific machine you are using as every model is different. I was glad the first truck I was about to load the first day I got my certificate was manned by a down to earth driver, who approached me: 'We've got all day. Don't rush it. As long as you keep yourself, the forklift, my truck and the goods you are handling in one piece, I'm happy. Take it slow and we'll get there.' Glad he said that, but even though I did not complete the job and let my co-worker do it (I was only trained on electric forklifts, while the one I had to use was a fuel-operated one which is completely different)
Just take your time, the steering is going to be the hardest thing to get used to on a stand-up truck of just about any kind...this particular kind of truck drives easier going in reverse the entire time, so the steering is going to be reversed the entire time you're going "forward", just take your time. This particular truck can also get up to a decent clip pretty quickly and can have steering that's sensitive. So very very important to take your time and get used to the nuances of how each truck is set.
@@gamechaser002 Exactly, I used this model for many years before we switched to Crowns, after a little while with the Raymonds, it becomes "muscle memory" . The more you use it, the more you get better. Like anything. But then the Crowns came in, and oh man, had to re-learn all that memory, it sucked, but again, you do things everyday and it becomes the norm. Just cause they were a little different.
dude that was really cool, and we have the same exact raymond lifts. I feel a lot better about trying it now, thanks a lot for step by step, and great easy steps. you probably certify guys at your job im guessing...
