When the podcast started it seemed as if Mr Kapoor was all about, "I, me, myself". How wrong was that thought kept on getting reinforced with every passing moment. Almost all actors of old times were learned. Because they focused on reading, literature, working on phonetics, dictions, pronunciation, learning Hindi language and so much. Not like today's actors where only looks matter.

@nalinirathnam i understand your point of view but Smita's research level, whatever that is, actually works better on the wider audience. Because of "lack of research" she asks questions that some watcher somewhere is also having. If she started doing hours of research then conversation will be more and more exclusive and many watchers won't understand what's this conversation at the moment is about and that's her style and that's why this podcast is one of the most watched podcasts of india.

I am sorry to disagree with a lot of people in the comments. Anu Kapoor actually came across as a false intellectual in this interview. First the good things about Anu: 1) Really well read 2) Great memory. Quoted facts and dates brilliantly 3) Great storytelling skills and speaks with passion 4) Brutally honest Now the things which prove he is a false intellectual: 1) He says only 2% of people in India work honestly, and that India is not a country for honest people. 2) He says his wife and kids are American. But he chose to be Indian despite him having negative views about India 3) He says Abrahamic religions are rule driven and are hence good. Hinduism also needs 'kattar' rules. So, If I interpret what he is saying, he is essentially saying he is making a 'big sacrifice' by choosing to hold on to an Indian passport. I think patriotism should come from a deep love for the country and respect for it's people. Not from a sense that I do not like the people, but I still choose to sacrifice and be an Indian. Secondly, being a Hindu essentially means that we are free to explore and discover. Having 'kattar' rules like other religions will mean that there is nothing different or special about us. I am not willing to trade the sense of exploration, freedom and wonder that Hindutva allows me, just to satisfy the need for rules that Mr. Anu Kapoor has.
This exploration phenomenon has costed Sanatan Dharam too much. With so many panths created and these panths now challenging the Core Santan Dharam. Had there be no Buddhism , Bharat wouldn't have been Islamized. The one sided non violent philosophy of Buddhism made us psychologically weak and introvert resulting in our defeat against Islam

This episode with Annu Kapoor ji is one of the bestest ever interviews that I have watched and heard. What an ocean of knowledge, talent and humbly egoistic man, just beautiful, I have not met him in person or may not meet him ever, but certainly I feel that he would have been the best teacher, guru that we never got.
Anu Kapoor should stick to films, TV, etc. Islamic books are regimental. Straitjackets its followers. Doesn't give any freedom. He should've called out their hate for non-believers.
Ya true candyman. I wanted to like the podcast but was kind of disappointed with many a contradictory ideas presented by the guest, one being atheism and yet chanting Inshallah multiple times during the interview. And saying dharma is no good and at the same time saying gita is the best book on earth. I doubt if he understands the difference between dharma and religion/mazhab. Ofcourse the guy has good memory and has faced many hardships in life, also seems patriotic but literally thinking that only 2% (really how does one get this number ) are good and everyone else is bad shows that he has a very poor world view. May be I am missing out on something and need to listen to some more podcasts of the guest to understand the real Anu Kapoor but though the current episode was not bad, I had a lot more expectations.

I am sorry to disagree with a lot of people in the comments. Anu Kapoor actually came across as a false intellectual in this interview. First the good things about Anu:
1) Really well read
2) Great memory. Quoted facts and dates brilliantly
3) Great storytelling skills and speaks with passion
4) Brutally honest
Now the things which prove he is a false intellectual:
1) He says only 2% of people in India work honestly, and that India is not a country for honest people.
2) He says his wife and kids are American. But he chose to be Indian despite him having negative views about India
3) He says Abrahamic religions are rule driven and are hence good. Hinduism also needs 'kattar' rules.
So, If I interpret what he is saying, he is essentially saying he is making a 'big sacrifice' by choosing to hold on to an Indian passport. I think patriotism should come from a deep love for the country and respect for it's people. Not from a sense that I do not like the people, but I still choose to sacrifice and be an Indian.
Secondly, being a Hindu essentially means that we are free to explore and discover. Having 'kattar' rules like other religions will mean that there is nothing different or special about us. I am not willing to trade the sense of exploration, freedom and wonder that Hindutva allows me, just to satisfy the need for rules that Mr. Anu Kapoor has.
This exploration phenomenon has costed Sanatan Dharam too much. With so many panths created and these panths now challenging the Core Santan Dharam. Had there be no Buddhism , Bharat wouldn't have been Islamized. The one sided non violent philosophy of Buddhism made us psychologically weak and introvert resulting in our defeat against Islam
@@HiddenHistoryofBharat The wrong use of a knife does not make the knife bad. Really sad to see people giving up on Sanatan Dharma just in the quest to be one up on other religions. Sanatan is already light years ahead of them all. All we need to learn from our tumultuous history is to be strong and united. But unity doesn't always come from rules. We need to evolve our Sanatani way of being united.

Ya true candyman. I wanted to like the podcast but was kind of disappointed with many a contradictory ideas presented by the guest, one being atheism and yet chanting Inshallah multiple times during the interview. And saying dharma is no good and at the same time saying gita is the best book on earth. I doubt if he understands the difference between dharma and religion/mazhab. Ofcourse the guy has good memory and has faced many hardships in life, also seems patriotic but literally thinking that only 2% (really how does one get this number ) are good and everyone else is bad shows that he has a very poor world view. May be I am missing out on something and need to listen to some more podcasts of the guest to understand the real Anu Kapoor but though the current episode was not bad, I had a lot more expectations.
