Your blood angels way on them .... and then you show this - now that I am 65% done with my start collecting box. Why yu du dis? I’d love to see your take on some Thousand Sons but with a more muted, less vibrant colour scheme. Almost like a Grimdark style.

The battleplan for this project was to keep the general workflow clean and simple especially in the first part of the foundational work; the idea is that you can quickly paint an army with the first part and then change gear for an important hero working on that common, uniform and harmonised base!
Of course I request some Thousand Sons paint job. I'm not sure what your opinion is on using iridescent or fluorescent colors, but some warpflame happy rubrique would be great fodder for it. I'm debating on whether or not to make two armies and scenery for a blacklight battle. I've done some pink horrors as experiments myself but still not sure about it, painting them to look like they're glowing from the inside out like a photo negative. I might be trying to stretch the physics of light too far, though. Damn materium!
I've been using that same ink for my zenithal highlights, and my paint comes off immediately once I start working on it. Am I missing something?
You're probably not giving it enough time to cure. 24-48 hours is generally a good rule to work by with inks for these purposes, at least in my own experience.
You can also cut it with a bit of a tougher acrylic medium, if you're still having trouble. Getting inks to properly adhere can be a real bastard sometimes.
I'd like you to paint a model from the Alpha Legion, perhaps Alpharius even since he definetly fits the big power armor part of a marine.
Awesome job, though 17:23 is like "Draw two circles, now draw the rest of the owl" in terms of how amazing that transition is.

I would love to see the Salamanders next. Most of the time Salamanders are in warm greens with stylized flames. Maybe we could get your take on how to do Salamnders in the opposite spectrum? Cold greens with blue stylized flames? maybe two models, showing one of each? Thank you so much for your work and effort to teach this community!
Idea for whats next? Alpha Legion! Would love to see those colors being used.
We already saw Black templars, Imperial fists, Blood angels, Space Wolves and Ultramarines, didn’t we? While I’m not against new approach to these, it would be nice exploring different color schemes as well. I vote for Green - being it Salamanders/Dark Angels/Aurora/Raptors or whatever else is fine, as long as main color is some shade of green but not Sons of Horus green :)
Would love to see you do Nightlords grimdark style.

Whilst your painting is amazing as always I just don't think your style works very well with Chaos.
GW go stupid with the detail on Chaos models. Then you add a heap of scratches and textures to the model.
It makes the overall result hard to focus on.
It's too busy.
Maybe it would be different in person where the camera isn't boosting the highlights to 15.
These paint companies should send you a check. For some reason, more than any other TH-camr, you make me want to buy artist paints. Your previous videos had me raiding Michael's on a Saturday.

Another amazing mini, Marco! Would love to see you paint Salamanders Next. Also I have a little twist for my request - would you be able to paint them in the Badab War colors (yellow armor with black stripes, the same pattern some Salamanders lizards have). It's a tricky one to pull off, but everything is possible for you.

Personally i'd love to see some Salamanders, they've been underrepresented a lot in my opinion. Also some deathguard with a pale, maybe tending to a blueish grey power armor would be cool :)
I would love to see how you would paint Word bearers as I make my way through my army.
I enjoyed my Red Corsairs army. Not only because Huron Blackheart was cool, but it's in theme for new renegades to still wear some of their loyalist colors. So it made sense that I could just paint individual marines in whatever color scheme I chose.
Sons of Horus would be great to see, on the 30k theme… perhaps with a nod to Luna Wolves 😉

I would love to see another ultramarine, that video was my favourite. i would be interested to see how you would paint one now compared to how you painted it then. that video caused me to go out and buy a £20 bottle of 120ml golden high flow florescent blue. I am currently struggling to finish my first model literally have 40 models with paint on them to various degrees and none finished.

This would be awesome, I have 5k+ points of 40k DG build and based and I have been experimenting with speed paint grim dark techniques for an year without settling on a single producing good result and still being speed paint. Something in style of Kruleboyzs speedpaint video would be great!
I have to know what you do to your ink zenithal so it doesn’t reactivate?? I find even after a week of curing it’s liable to smudge and come off with my contrast application or ink (using manual brush) or even just my sweaty gamer fingers 😂 are you varnishing that layer? Or is it just a matter of being more delicate??
For the info, I use all the same primers inks and contrasts I see you using 😂 also my new favourite paints, scale 75 Artist packs!!

Mix a bit of varnish in with your inks, I just use AK's ultra-matte. Works like a charm!
@@Voular I only have some Garbo generic brand varnish stuff. It might Vallejo but i can’t remember? Haha I’ll have a look into this AK interactive stuff tho! I hear naught but good things about it!
@@MacKayVer40k any varnish will do the trick, I use Vallejo and it's fine. It just needs to keep it in place until you put your first layer of paint over it, at which point the top layer's strength will hold it in place.
Great video as always Marco. Makes me think i should be practicing rather than just watching others paint! I'd like to see how you'd tackle white heresy era death guard. I find it visually one of my favourite schemes for space marines and they have a lot of room for weathering and corrosion.

I saw that you used various liquitex acrylic colors for this model, how do you find them compared to the scale75 artist range? Do they have similar properties? And what is the difference between Gouache and Heavy Body?

I don't expect it to get much support, but I'd like to see you paint a Space Wolf in their classic, blue grey. They've never looked quite right to me after GW changed the grey. Hell, I was just looking at pictures on Google Images, and the pics of SW painted in the classic blue grey still didn't look *quite* blue enough to me.i remember it being *just* a touch more saturated.

This is an amazing and inspiring paintjob. As a Blood Angels player I'd love to see you painting some character from the glorious 9th legion!
With every video you release, I begin to understand more and more on how to paint models with more contrast and more detail.
This is a technique I try to use, but I always get annoying speckles with the grey and white (worse with white) when I zenithal. Any idea how to fix this? It really makes the rest of the process look crap haha. I've tried thinning further, but then it takes about 40 passes with the airbrush to get any kind of coverage.

i would love you to show off your kitbash and sculping muscles by making a miniature for a character that doesn't have one yet. Like Akilios Zanaris from the silver templars, his heavily scarred/burnt face would draw a lot of attention and would give you a ton of playing room for painting.
I would wish for a 40k dark angel but...
* push the green into black territory as a reminder of their old 30k color scheme
* maybe a red glow on the inside of thevneck guard shining up, on the down pointing helmet parts
* lots of free hand patterns to reflect their knightly past
* always ok to modify it more into a knight monk direction with bits and sculpting
* blue or red shadows?
when you are at home painting your white scars army up and your wife tells you your multi pin striped red and white invader atv looks plain compared to your normal "trying hard" paint jobs, you know you've been watching too much marco.
With new 30k plastics just around the corner a 30k emperors children model would be cool to see. Metallic purple would be a cool subject. Or just metallic colouring in General

I believed that gouache was really unsuitable for miniatures due to particle size and fragility of the paint. How did you circumvent these issues?

I asked a long time ago about painting a word bearer, I believe in response to the Khorne Berzerker awesome kitbash video you did. It is an entirely different red, and a legion that offers a lot of artistic choices in regard to freehand. So I will ask again for the bearers of the word!
8:29 agree on the orange (Gryph-Hound) being desaturated, but Talassar Blue is pretty saturated and bright, no?

I'd love to see some Emperor's Children, especially if you could find a Noise Marine! That said, I am extremely curious how long it took you to paint Abaddon! It's an amazing paint job and i suspect you finished it in a fraction of the time most of us would take to accomplish something half as good.
