This episode brought me to tears. There is so much cruelty that was totally uncalled for. Who locks a young, beautiful lab up and allows it to starve? When dogs are itching themselves to madness, take them to a vet ASAP, and if your dog hurts itself and you can't afford to pay for a vet then take them to a shelter where they can get the necessary help. Also, if you ever see kids torturing an innocent animal and you're too scared to intervene, then call the police. There is always something you can do to help protect these precious innocent beings. 💔🐕🐾❤️
In the UK if you are ever struggling with vet bills or getting treatment due to cost talk to the psda depending on how severe your situation is you can get it for free.

There is a special kind of hell for those who abuse animals
America needs more animal cruelty laws. They have much more better animal cruelty laws in Europe and Australia, this is why I love these shows because it proves how much these animals are cared for, and how much that they do have a voice. Let us be a voice for the voiceless, just because one cannot speak for themselves, does not mean we just neglect it or leave it in a yard! Dogs are often said that we do not deserve, hence fourth here is clearly a reason. Dogs will love you unconditionally and give their all to you no matter what, we need to treat them the same as one would with a living being, treat them with all the love, care and respect and love them unconditionally in return!
It is very wrong and unfair that in America, where I live... a dog can be kept in a small space such as this and left for days on end without any attention, sometimes with feces building up and no shade, in extreme tempetures with no love for them... left outside, forgotten.
if an animal is outside all the time locked in a fence, any animal but most especially dogs... it needs to be illegal, that simple. I know in these countries that would be the truth as it should be.
A dog kept in a fence is neglected of physcholgical needs, becomes aggressive, restless, prone more to disease because it is kept in a cage, often dogs left in fences or gates that escape start to bite people and unfortunately be put down.
such as the case in Florida, where an elderly post worker was killed by five dogs that got out from their yard, not exercised, not loved on, this is why the dogs turned.
To me, you do not leave a child locked up outside in a damn cage, why would you leave a living being outside?
Dogs are so much more than that, these are God's creatures, God's gift to us. They deserve justice, keeping one in a fence all the time, no matter if it has shelter, it is still neglect.... it is deprived of other needs, such as love!
It needs to be illegal and I wish that it were true.

The laws to protect animals here in Australia are not much better. As long as food /water bowls and shelter is provided the neglected animal goes back to the owner. A few years back I found 2 emaciated beagles in the bushland behind town. One ran off but I could get the other. Severely malnourished with scars on the head, missing nails and puss coming out of one eye. He was friendly and loved the food and attention. As by law you can't just keep them and I didn't had a fenced off property at the time. So comes Monday I brought him to the vet. And later that day I was informed that the owner was found and doggy got returned 😢 he was so skinny that I thought he has been out there for weeks... but there was shelter and bowls...
There's a lot animal abuse going on in the greyhound/ horse racing industry too.

What helps in the UK as well is we have the pdsa which is a vet charity that works with the poor to provide cheap or free vet care so there is no excuse to see animals with major health issues other than neglect.

The little moppet who lost her front paws is amazing as is her new owner.I was going to suggest prosthetic paws as I’ve seen on other dogs would help her but it seems she has found her feet! I was shocked at finding out about this level of abuse in the UK. I’ve seen it in other countries but never expected it in the UK. I was disappointed to hear the owner was only banned from owning an animal for 5 years. I don’t believe the owner should ever own any animal ever in the future.
5 years is a joke, that judge is a true heartless SOB.

Banned from owning an animal for FIVE years, after what he did to Florence? That is why people do this. That is an inappropriate sentence, not long enough, for the harm someone does to a living being.

Chunky's abusers - this highlights the weakness and inefficiency of the legal system. This is a sign of psychopathy, to be able to do this to a dog and 10 years of suspension of owning an animal and their parents to pay the bill. As if they even want to own animals when they can torture that of others. I am so happy Chunky had a happy outcome but so many do not.
They should see jail. Absolutely disgusting. Some people are a complete waste of skin.

I could never live in the row apartments. The noise and closeness!! No yard . And barking dogs no one cares for.
Regarding chunky the Chihuahua cross, I don't leave my dogs outside alone especially at night.

I have a dog that looks like Harlow and he eats and drinks like that even though he's the perfect weight. Speed of eating doesn't say much, rather the bones sticking out and the filth are completely awful!

This is the job I have always wanted to do. To save animals and put awful ppl in jail where they belong. Tho I wish this wasn't a job that is needed at all. But unfortunately where there are humans there is cruelty. I don't understand how we can be such beautiful creatures full of hope, dreams and amazing things but on the other side of humanity can be the complete opposite of such depravity and unimaginable cruelty inflicted on eachother and other animals. It's mind boggling. There is no excuse for this. Ever! And these ppl do not get enough punishment.

The first thing I would have done after a check up with the vet I would have fed Harlo or whatever his name is.
