Now I understand the reason, Rei I accesses her memories and wants to attack Ritsuko the first time, when Shinji enters the Eva 00, Rei I wants to attack Rei II because she sees Rei II's impression on Shinji. The first was anger and hatred due to Ritsuko being present and together with Gendo (she thinks she is Ritsuko's mother), the second time was jealousy of Shinji's relationship with Rei II.
This is explained with Gendo's glasses, Rei II loved Gendo, that's why she treasured those glasses, Rei III hates Gendo, that's why she breaks them.
Rei III betrays Gendo when she sees Kaworu making his own decision to save Shinji.

A lot of the corner cutting in the show was actually a result of time constraints, not budget. The show was super popular (still is).

@@tobiasarevalo9929 Nobody thinks that, they clearly ran out of budget because they poured it into such good and detailed animation. It's why you get recycled bits and moments of nothing but characters standing. Then there's the last few episodes which are literally nothing but recycled footage on loop till the congrats scene.
An artistic choice that shows deeper meaning in the way they parallel one another... and definitely not because they were saving money.
Well it does make sense thematically, and the two scenes aren’t exactly the same. But I’m sure this wasn’t very hard to do. I’d be willing to bet it was a combination of themes and easiness.
I really hope you were being sarcastic with the part about it not being a financial choice. If they wanted to just draw a parallel, that was already done for them. This was a simple recoloring for 90% of the scene
Frood there were no financial problems, it was time constraints. Hideaki Anno wasn’t pleased with the way the episodes of the first half kept coming out and rewrote them like 4 different times. The show does “redone” scenes like this constantly too. Some parallels were just more subtle than others.
@@sprawlz6466 Not only did the series suffer from scheduling issues, but according to Anno, despite Gainax being the lead studio for the series, the company itself had inadequate materials and staff for the full production of the series. Only three staff members from Gainax were working on the series at any given time, and the majority of the series' production was outsourced to Tatsunoko Production.
There were financial issues. That's why so much it was outsourced.
Hydin I wouldn’t really call that a financial problem though. I’d just say the production was a total shit show. The original 1995 airing looked like absolute shit. The series became so popular that they reanimated the entire thing in 2003 I believe. It’s amazing that the final product came out looking as great as it did.
It’s similar to the movie Jaws. Everything to do with the entire production of that movie was a total mess. Between achieving the desired environment for the set, reshooting scenes, getting the robotic shark to work, and poor management, it was another shit show. The head producer, I believe, almost quit because he thought the movie would be a total flop with the way things were going. But, in the end, it came out looking great. It’s considered to be one of the greatest movies of the 70s and the cinematography was ahead of its time.
It wasn’t that the Jaws budget was bad, everything was just going wrong. Evangelion also had a solid budget, but they were understaffed, had trouble meeting deadlines, and Anno couldn’t make up his mind with the writing. Calling that “financial issues” seems incorrect to me.

Well... that is thr case for some stuff. I know characters covered heir mouths when talking to save on animation expenses or example. NGE had a pisspoor budget and they struggled very hard to make what they did, lack of funding due to it not being cookiecutter and very dark in tone.

The last thing you want in an emergency situation is for someone to be unable to, or be injured from, attempting to tell everyone that there's an emergency.
panic buttons should be huge and visible but must be protected from accidental pressing that does not obscure it hence the use of breakable glass. there are other forms of protecting the button but visually smashing glasses looks cooler. They call it break glass alarms but its not really "glass" but more of a shattering plastic panel.

They reused a ton of scenes literally everywhere, but they did it very intelligently, some you might notice very easily, but some are more discreet, and they are used in various contexts to tell the story

Orange gives it this test dummy look (which is fitting as it is the prototype) but the blue gives it a more distinct look, matching the other Evas. Also blue is a colour associated with Rei, as opposed to red which is associated with Asuka.
Why does Unit-00 changes its color in the anime? Maybe I have forgotten something from Evangelion
Knowing that's the original Rei who died as a kid inside of that, it really makes you feel for her to be in the state she's in.
I just realized that little detail of the charger, that it activates it's rocket, so it doesn't get destroyed of whenn it hits the ground, from such a hight. Jeez. That after years of watching Evangelion... 😱

I think both color schemes have their merits. Orange and White is reminiscent of a piece of heavy equipment, a tool made by humans to achieve a goal, which is what Evangelion Units are, no matter how you spin it. Blue and White has a more clinical, colder feel, and is more fitting for Rei, since she has heavy associations with the color blue. In the end though, Unit 00 is probably blue to more easily distinguish it from Unit 02, which is Red and Orange.

Anime was just starting to run out of budget.
This, incidentally, is one of the reasons why the latest episodes of the anime series Evangelion look so cheap, and why there are many reruns, and cheap footage.
And also this is the reason why the creators of the anime decided to crumple everything up like that. According to the idea, there should have been more episodes where all the motives and the ending of Eve would have been fully revealed.
However, the money ran out, so they decided to cram the entire script for several episodes into 2 episodes.
And only then, when Eve became insanely popular and made a profit, the creators of the anime managed to get money and finish the ending in "The End of Evangelion"

Peter I the Great Romanov that’s a rumour. The real truth was time constraints as the studio and network were really strict on the time they gave for Anno and his team to complete the episodes.
It’s cool that even went in an reanimated the chest plate. Didn’t notice that till now.
Honestly it just makes sense that Unit 0 would go berserk exactly the same way when placed in nearly identical circumstances. This is one case where recycling animation is 100% logical. However, I know for a fact that the studio was pretty much in perpetual crunch as the deadlines were strict. Maybe with a bigger budget and more time to spare they might've created a new sequence for that second berserk scene, but who can tell for sure what was "we literally don't have the time to animate this" and what was "it's like poetry, it rhymes," especially since there are literal dozens of versions of Evangelion and the Rebuild series put an even bigger emphasis on intentional recycling.
Oi to be fair this anime had really good animation so even if it's reused I don't really care that much about, most animes now a days can't even compare with this animated masterpiece

I kinda thought Evangelion was boring. But I see why people like it a lot. If you want some recent anime with really good anime I recommend Mob Psycho or Demon Slayer.
@@expecting747 I've seen mob and I very much enjoyed it, however the reason some people might find it boring due to how confusing it might be during the first viewing, it is understandable due to how on my first viewing this anime was very confusing from the start and then after a rewatch and a video helping with some things I never knew it turned out to be a very fucking incredible story that can be told if you try to put in a little research about it and a rewatch to help, I understand it's not for everyone, it would probably be way easier to enjoy if you just put in something like kill la kill to be able to be entertained easily without having to see and think about the amount of things this anime has

I thought it was very clever, but it took me a while that they reused the animations. Rei was in the eva at that time and now in Geuno's place.

I think I've solved the puzzle. Orange eva 00 had Rei I soul. The only tarjets on the window are Ritsuko, Gendo and Fuyutsuki. They were not drawn or planned to appare there just coincidently. Rei l is trying to kill all of them, but Gendo principally that's why he was drawn in the center, as a sybol of that, because was the cause of all the trouble between her and Ritsukos's mother, and since Rei l was a kid when everything happend and she died, she sees Gendo as the responsable to take care of her, who failed and now wants revenge.
In the second case, Blue eva 00 has now Rei ll soul inside, and she is freaked out by seeing herself as a clone, that's why she is trying to kill rei III (and maybe she has a litrme hatred towards Misato if we think they were not drawn or planmed to be there by mere coincidence, maybe she blames her for her death)
This needs a 60fps Version
The art and animation don't look bad so I assume there was money and talent behind this show so I don't see why they had to cut this corner
Honestly wether budget or time crunch I actually enjoy that both scenes are the same for one reason. This basically helps reinforce the multiple/repeating timelines theory.
When looking at the series as a whole a popular theory besides there being multiple timelines is that it's also connected to an endless doomed timeline. In this sense no matter how many times the timeline diverges the same events eventuslly happen to repeat as it gets to certain points and I feel even though part of the same timeline seeing this event happen again lends more credence to the larger theory.

Why’d they even recolor the Eva
To show Unit 0 was no longer a prototype
Orange was a bright color that contrasted the armor to the actual Eva’s skin. This was important for testing as it made for easier diagnostics and identifying debris in an accident’s cleanup. However, it gave unnecessary attention on the battlefield. Blue is a darker color, that while different enough to purple and red to be told apart from afar, it’s still dark enough to not draw any more attention than other Evas.

because the blue one is a repurposed version of unit 00. (the orange armor got heavily damaged during the Ramiel fight) it got a performance upgrade and is comparable to unit 02.

Rei Is Not Piloting Eva 00
Color Of Eva 00 Is Blue And Not Orange
And It Is Banging It's Head Instead Of Punching The Wall

Obviously this was done this way to save on some animation but it does add to the show. It is arguable that the fact it is such an obvious reuse adds to the show BECAUSE it is Eva.
I personally prefer the orange design.

That was basically the whole show. They didn't have a consistent vision and you can actually see it in the final product. before episode 16 and after episode 16 have completely different focuses.
By episode 13 the series began to deviate significantly from the original story, and the initial script was abandoned. The number of Angels was reduced to 17 instead of the original 28, and the writers changed the story's ending, which had originally described the failure of the Human Instrumentality Project after an Angel attack from the moon.
