I've had a few label makers from the same company. I was going to buy that one but I'm retired so the last portable one I bought I'm keeping, it uses the same labels up to a certain size (I like new tools). I'm a retired aircraft & auto mechanic and I like to label everything! I really like be able to use labeled shrink tubing when I put electrical projects together. Nice video, I've watched 90% of you videos and just subscribed. Thank you for your work.
Nice tool. I really couldn’t justify the cost for the small amount if labels I needed. What I did find was heat shrink printable tubing for my old Brother P-touch label maker. Not even close to what options you have with this but it worked.
Yea, it's a cost/benefit analysis that's different for each person. For me, past experience with poor labeling options drove me to - do it right - this time. What really interested me in this model was the 1.5 inch (36mm) maximum label tape width, and more importantly the 360-dpi (dots per inch) resolution. The much higher than average dpi allows for clear text on really small connector labels, and tiny heat-shrink tube for small wires. It also lets me create pretty small QR codes (that I'll talk about in an upcoming video). These features allow me to label things that SHOULD be labeled but typically would be passed by, do to limited capabilities of a lesser printer. I spent years doing tasks - good enough for wow - which came back to bite me in the glutes more than once. Now I'm switching to - any job worth doing is worth doing well - .
