    Just an FYI - the ring you show is 13.56mhz, and only has 144 bytes of storage. The emergency contact page, if filled - will exceed that usually so you won't be able to use it for that. I have, however, used it as a business e-mail contact ring - if you use the NFC tools, you can have it pre-write an e-mail addressed to yourself with a subject. In a business setting, you can ask whoever is wanting to send you an e-mail to simply tap your ring against their phone; that way they don't have to type in your e-mail address (and chance getting it wrong.)

    I'm looking for some way one using it for security purposes on kidnapping cases for example, but the fact that it works connected to send messages to family members or rescue centre makes it bad because the criminals may take, break or turn off the phone, then you are lost! I think it should have capabilities to send alert without relying on cellphones

    • @EverydayTechchannel
      @EverydayTechchannel  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Does your phone vibrate at all when the ring is held to it?.
      Also could try to see if it works on another phone because if it doesn't it's probably a faulty ring. With no battery inside and no indicator lights or moving parts it's really difficult to know if it's the ring.
      I'm theory the ring should work with pretty much any NFC app.

    Just got mine. It's the tarizma smart ring. We have the same ring. I'm starting to believe we can only do one command. Not two or 10 or 20. Just one. Reason I say this is you have to physically tap the ring to the phone. There's no gestures at all. You can't have 3 commands with one tap. So to me, this is a rip off and not worth the supposed $80 usd they want. Right now (and I think this is bs also) there's a "first 1500 people get the ring for postage and handling only" well that "deal" had been going on for months now. I'm sure a ton more than 1500 have gotten this ring. Took me 3.5 months to get mine as the first was lost in China and they shipped me a new one. Made me wait 7 weeks before doing so. That ad for "first 1500 buyers" is still there.
    So I believe this ring is a 0ne trick pony and only worth the $12 usd shipping and handling. I wrote customer service to ask them how to use it with more Than one command. I'm sure it's a one trick pony.
    Junk ring. China just can't put out top line stuff. :(
