health is wealth agreed and most ppl want to bring their family up from the depths. People who go to war for they family sacrifice also. People who work 2-3 jobs all day and night to provide sacrifice also. Then kids grow up to remember you were never around. People sacrifice in different ways with the same thing in mind. 1 just comes with millions. Everybody can make their own choice though on what you are willing to sacrifice.
How many of the poor victims in Mississippi couldn’t get treatments for Parkinson’s and other conditions after the millions of welfare benefits Bret & the governor stole from them?
I usually don’t cry but the opening made me tear up so much. At 26 years old I had to stop playing football and it hurts… But I realize I have more life to live but football was what I was born to do! From the day I got out my moms womb my dad looked at me and said “he’s a 🏈 player” it’s just a hard adjustment right now
I couldn’t wait to get off an get home and shower and relax to catch up and see what going on the pivots I so do enjoy all 3 guys conversation on any topic they do there no podcast that get my attention like the pivot appreciate these hard working men’s Channing ryan Clark an Freddie flowers
But RC, you've become more than a football player. I dont know if y'all read these comments. You have become a comfort and a man who's perspective has changed us. Best sports analyst and man on tv. What a lovely soul.
Work to live, don't live to work. My glass is ALWAYS half full. And to Channing... it takes SOOO much more energy to be mad and upset versus not giving f**k about shit you have no control over. One of the best lessons my father taught me... don't stress about shit you have no control over
First time I seen RC’s hardest hits I was shocked dude was still sane. He put his literal life on the line to be great in the NFL. I pray these brothas minds stay in tact to see them grow old. My son ain’t playing football fuck dat 😂
This is my favorite podcast. I appreciate the conversations, transparency and insight each person brings. Keep being you and yes Channing stay positive!! Have a good week
Freddy T ..grown!! We see ya bro!!!..These youth coming up..need to let their game do the talking and get them paid...they want the funds but not the work...NBA real bad for that...keep it coming THE PIVOT..🏆🏆🏆👏🏿👏🏽👏🏻2nd dose of weekly goodness🏆🏆🏆👏🏿👏🏻👏🏽
They did work in HS to even garner NIL. They deserve whatever they get... The administration doesn't play and they get their money, irregardless of how their programs win. If we gone have a conversation start with the people at the top, the players should come LAST. They are the ones sacrificing their health.
I respect the professional opinion on health and providing for yourself and your family! There is risk and health concerns wherever you work in my opinion. Thanks!
Hey Guys I totally enjoy your discussion regarding the concussion and the young men coming into to the game, I was wondering what you all the 3 think about a discussion/chat, of actual playing each other if you ever did play each other
If* tua continues to play then play smart. No you can’t run head first to defensive backs. Learn to feel pressure and get rid of the ball. play smart football and think ahead
I actually don’t think the contact with Hamlin was the issue. I think when he fell and his body kind of whiplashed the back of his head into the ground is what got him. And that would get anybody. The back of your head isn’t exactly capable of being able to withstand impact. Nobodies is.
That’s the thing though. If I had to pick one QB in the NFL who knows how to feel pressure in the pocket it would be Tua. He’s fantastic at knowing where defenders are around him, Tua’s problem is that he thinks he’s Josh Allen 😭. That boy will run head first into you and for the life of me idk why. If you rmbr his first concussion in the bengals game, when he came back for the Steelers game one of the very first plays was him running the ball head first into a defender after doing interviews saying how he’ll play smart blah blah blah. That was the moment I knew Tua isn’t all the way right up there in the head 😭. He truly is a gladiator at his core.
Hey guys, got introduced to your podcast from Jason Kelce. From Australia so I have no idea who you are but really enjoy listening to your points of view. Lastly, were did you get the Steelers Football Jumper and why Steelers??
I know a NFL player that played with a broken leg taped up. The leg healed up in time. However, cuncusions are bad when they happen.....But BRUTAL later in life. Scary how it impacted him. Several players are now playing with guadian helmets, Don't blame them.
Fear is the opposite of love, it takes away our power. Reject fear. Choose wisely and be true to self. We all have free will and create our destiny daily. Life is complex and there are no perfect choices.
I hear you... As an athlete you can be your worst enemy...There is a LIFE after football... One must think of their future!!! and hopefully it is a long prosperous life.... Football is a segment, a chapter of one's life...
if thats what a concussion is, i cannot count the number of concussions ive had. ive had two that i blacked out and the world got smaller like the outro to a looney tunes show, but the black dots, snot bubbles and birdies happened more times than i can count. it actually happened prolly more on the playground than on the football field. the field was safer in my day. we banged heads with no helmets back in the day on the playground playing "tackle the man" or "throw it up, bust em up" whatever you wanted to call it, when when you were 1 vs everybody and there was no score or no touchdown. looking back now, it was one of the dumbest games on earth, but one of the most fun and defining games. it just made you tough and fearless. they wont even let kids play that game anymore. concussions used to be a right of passage. i was on a full (D2) my freshmen yr and it was unheard of at the time 1998. my teammates heard about it and all the returning starters lined up to go against me in the oklahoma drill (the defensive version. starting nose cut you, starting linebacker stock blocked you and starting safety ran the ball). they wanted to prove i didnt deserve that money. they took turns knocking off. first round i got up looking out my ear hole and couldnt see out my right eye. i straightened my helmet and got right back to the front of the line to prove i wasnt a punk. it happened again with a fresh set of returning starters. and the a third time. my DC woulda got fired for that today, as he should. i could barely stand up i was so dizzy and i couldnt see. i just kept running into people to prove a point. knowing what i know now, i could have done serious damage to myself. momma always said, God protects the foolish and the young. i was both.
I love these 3 man shows. You guys are incredible. Allow me to throw this out. In understanding that you, Ryan, and the person that I’ll mention don’t have the best relationship. Invite, Wiley to the show. Just a thought…either way. I look forward to watching the pivot. I go back and rewatch several episodes I constantly share and talk about this show even on my own podcast. I really appreciate the content, so very much.
21:13 Dont play about parkinsons my great uncle had it and seeing what he went through helping him work on family property sucked his mind was so sharpe he had a smooth idea and was patient with me when he didnt have to be i was just learning from. Him and still learning today now hes gone
i appreciate this angle on the tua situation. as an individual that is also in a risky sport (equestrian), the fear of a career ending injury is nowhere near equal to the passion that i have for the sport, and same goes for football. especially for people who are building their whole livelihood on it: it’s getting them through college when they wouldn’t have access to an education otherwise, it’s taking care of families and building generational wealth. there’s a bigger picture we need to consider when thinking about it. it’s not always so easy to just hang it up if you get hurt
Fred saying he didn’t remember he played the rest of the game after taking one is wild. God bless these modern gladiators and how they sacrificed themselves for our entertainment and to take of their families 🙏🏾
I have this question about Tua and him continuing to play. Is it fair to defensive players of the opposing teams? How are they supposed to play hard and tackle him knowing they can cause another concussion he might not recover from?
Here's what upsets me about the NFL. They have you all worried about concussions but the average age of death of an NFL is 52. The question is not about CTE. The question is this. Is the game worth 20-25 years of your life? To me it's like they're distracting you with the CTE
When they first announced it, I thought it was a bunch of crock. Not that he had the disease but the timing of the announcement. Smart people can see through this. There's been celebs who had debilitating or deadly diseases and you didn't even hear about it until it was too far gone or has Any black person Forgot about Chad Boseman?? No one knew he was dying. He had made appearances on the Tonight Show, meeting fans secretly on the set Months before his death. He even had smiles for them and posed for selfie!s!! Brett can Miss me with his bs. He wants the very people that he stole from to feel sorry for him. I, for One, AIN'T doing it. I hope he gets better so that he can serve his time like they would if he were a black celebrity.
this thing with brett favre.... its sad that innocent people are going to sent to jail...wake up people constitution doesnt protect you against bigger guys. its sad as hell....
I remember, well I remember the after thought. Junior year of high school we played a team with a defensive end, 6'4 240 at 15 (he was huge lmao) and at the time I had to replace our RB because he sprained his ankle we did boot 8 drag and I saw on film I got absolutely SMACKED on the fake which resulted in a touchdown. The game continues and the next memory I have is me cutting the defensive end on the same play because he stopped being so aggressive and he said "you got me back boy, good sh" I don't remember the first hit lmao. In film my coach went "Roberts, what happened here" I was like, idk coach this the first time I'm seeing it lol. Next one was in college, 3 step slant and I was my normal position CB/S but I was playing close to the line because it was a 3rd and 2 and the inside wr had a tell and I knew he was getting the ball. 2 steps I saw the ball leave, and all I remember was the defense celebrating around me, apparently I hit the guy and slapped the ball up and it was a pick 6.
Now thinking about it because when I played baseball all the way up to 25 as a catcher all the collisions at the plate I wonder how many concussions catchers had ?
Yes live life but have a good quality of life and it not be hindered bcz of a passion that we all love I want you to be safe and healthy and happy not a vegetable or have intellectual difficulties
I have had concussion the worse was from a car accident. When I played high school ball I had one so bad that when I tried to piss I couldn’t. I stood in front of the urinal I could go. My coaches where mad because my grandma won’t let play because of that injury and my coaches was pressuring me all just take an ibuprofen your fine I didn’t go back . I deal with concussion to this day not from football but driver. Ppl get concussion just playing basketball from shooting the ball but when they come down they don’t bend there knees. I concussion is a jarring of the brain
Its really amazing to see a 40+yr old man leaving with sickle cell, and not just that he got to play this game for years mahn.... All my homies i went to middle school with that had it aint here no more. Maybe over there y'all got it figured out but we could use some help down here in east africa, Kenya. And not that part they show you on tv with the manicured lions n giraffes

Thank you Channing for saying that! The timing of that announcement and that lawsuit is crazy.
Yes!! What you said I was about to write the same thing smh… Thank You!!!
That's one thing I love about Channing, its him keeping real!

Man conversation 🍺
Dude I had concussions my whole life then. The sparkle white stars and black spots. Crazy man football is fun but so dangerous
Different times playing fball… first few mins… great episode and I’m only at 22:42
Y'all should do this more often, just chopping it up with the core crew
I hear you... As an athlete you can be your worst enemy...There is a LIFE after football... One must think of their future!!! and hopefully it is a long prosperous life.... Football is a segment, a chapter of one's life...

Man Brett's about to sue you 😂. Even though he'll lose, he'll waste your money
Won’t waste anyone money but he’s because when he lose he will be responsible for both party lawyer fees
Get a life

I understand the passion for the game but come on man, whats the use of having millions in the bank and you're drooling on yourself. Health is wealth
🎯 spot on
1. Love for the game
1a. Taking care of your family
I could say the same about people who enlist in the military, without the millions for your family
My grandmother often said health is wealth
Great show as always.
Great thoughts on Brett Favre’s situation. How convenient to mention Parkinson’s disease with these legal issues facing you.
When they first announced it, I thought it was a bunch of crock. Not that he had the disease but the timing of the announcement. Smart people can see through this.

Awesome Show!!
Brett's always been My 🐐 QB the reason I started watching 😢

Yes live life but have a good quality of life and it not be hindered bcz of a passion that we all love I want you to be safe and healthy and happy not a vegetable or have intellectual difficulties

This is the scariest episode ever. I pray for all of you
Love the Bernie Mac quote lol 😂
I love y'all 💪🏾💪🏾💪🏾🔥
That Florida Boy came when Fred said “I’m so cute boy”
I love that shirt that Channing has on. Where can I get my son one. He would love that in Red. He plays for University Of Houston.
Get Shannon sharp and ocho on the Pod
I Love The Three Man Show. Freddy is sexy with or without hair!!! Would love for him to talk more during all the shows.
Im wit you when your right!
Yes!! That shirt is shirtin
Was so serious then there’s Clark “you sleep forever when you get hit by a bus” 😭😭😭
Love the 3
Its really amazing to see a 40+yr old man leaving with sickle cell, and not just that he got to play this game for years mahn.... All my homies i went to middle school with that had it aint here no more. Maybe over there y'all got it figured out but we could use some help down here in east africa, Kenya. And not that part they show you on tv with the manicured lions n giraffes
No offense...Bret Favre just reaping karma. It's hard to watch but shit comes back on you. Kudos to Chan and RC for saying it.
You sure are FRED🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥
That was Robin Harris, not Bernie Mac 🙌🏾
It's just the power 5 and lesser 5 that's making money. A lot of FCS, D2, and D3 schools aren't paying those guys.
I think 95 percent of football players have had a concussion. Might not be to the extent of Tua’s but I believe we all had one at some point.
Yes, Fred is handsome with or without hair.
The game didn't start till I seen Stars. I always hoped it happened in the 1st quarter
I want to hear Stan Humphreys perspective. Get him on the show please
Yes I understand what you guys saying. But if you knowingly that type of injuries will effect your life and your family’s life. It worth it?
