I think the older couple need to expand their taste buds, especially them being in the restaurant business for so long. They probably eat fish and chips all day long. 😅

In Canada, we call stacked burgers smashed burgers. They are delicious on brioche buns. 😊

I did grow up near Sunderland and Mam used to toa leek and mince clouty pudding ….. wrapped in a tea towel and boiled or steamed on a pressure cooker.
