Lived on a very small Kibbutz for a year in the mid 1990's. BEST year of my life. Hard and (VERY) hot work, with long hours (for me working with the chickens anyway), but absolutely fantasic. Met many wonderful people, both Jewish and Muslim (mainly Bedouin). Swimming pool most days in the long, long, long summer. I still keep in touch with people from the Kibbutz and people who were volunteers there like I was. Haven't gone back for many years now, but I miss it every day.
An amazing country with great people.
    G-d bless Israel.

I was on an archaeological dig in the Golan in 1985. I then moved into kibbutz Affikim, Deganya Alef and Gesher Hatziv, al in the North of the country. l in It was such a wonderful time and I've returned to Israel at least four times since. I'll be there again in the near future.

Lots of truth here from the kibbutzniks, but it was a lifestyle I very much enjoyed.

@OronIsrael: but what about membership, e.g. if you're European an want to stay for 6 months or a year, is this possible (and as non-Jew, too) ? Toda rabah.

      Decolonisation of the Arab empire.
Exiled for centuries but still got the guts to return, build and defend themselves from the filthy jihad. That is a real connection with the land. Unlike the Arabs who disappeared like snow off a dyke.
