Your videos are gold, there aren't many on TH-cam about servicing this year model grand Vitara.
Question however: Why would one need to clean the cat converter?

      Thanks a lot.
📌Google answers: Catalytic converters filter out toxic gases created by combustion within the engine. Since all of the exhaust passes through the catalytic converter, they become dirty after years of use. Replacing a catalytic converter is expensive, so cleaning it first is typically the best option.
📌My answer: Because I like to experiment, and I read a lot of different opinions, I decided to personally check if it makes sense. Of course, it can't be completely cleaned up and become like new, but I like the result. I know my car, and I definitely feel the difference for the better.

I saw in comments this is a 2007. I have a 2008 and wonder if it is the same or close to for removal/change. The check engine light is on since I purchased it used.

It would be great if you added the maker and the car part so we can order this. I have the 2.0 and its hard to find this part in my country.

IRL, RHD versions will have the battery over on the other side. Nothing will open easily, access is awful, the bolts & nuts associated with the dpf & cat will all be rusted messes that won't open with normal tools and you will begin to lose the will to live while doing this ^. Especially "popping" off the last section of air intake - it won't "pop" off for one thing., You may have to use explosives.
Owners who work on these will know. They'll have changed the oil filter... yeah.. or the starter motor... which also demands you do all of that ^^ too first.. Stuff on these tests your metal as a mechanic. They are not "easy" to work on.

Upside, no thief will ever nick the cat off a Vitara... good luck doing that.. :-)

@@maxsheane The layout of the engine in the bay on these is brutal. It was designed as a transverse engine by PSA, swapping it to inline make what was already a crap design even crapper to work on. :-)
