Today we go back to Paignton Zoo!
We havnt been there since September 2020 so a lot has changed inclusing new walkways! We firstly went into the tropical trails and arid lands, plenty of frogs, lizards and birds!
We made our way round to the Red Panda's but they were taking a nap so we saw some of the birds they have. We were lucky to see Baboon Rock at feeding time, they had a selection of vegetables and loved it!
Monkey heights had a slight bit of construction going on so the one walkway was closed. The Zebra were out having a snack, I love Zebra's! They are next to the Giraffes who's indoor viewing was temporarily closed due to ongoing work too. They used to have an elephant there and it looks like they are now changing that section to be for both the Zebra and Giraffes.
We were very lucky to see the Cheetah sat ontop of one of their littel huts, they are so majestic! They are the start of the big cat section. The Lions and Tigers were both resting but we did go back and see them walking about a little. We then saw the Red Panda's out and about as it was snack time for them too! We saw many more animals on the visit like Rhino, Lemurs, Meerkats, Giant Tortoises, Kangaroo, Flamingo, Gorillas - we stayed for the Gorilla talk which was very informative!
Then we go into the Gift Shop for a shop tour! As its the 100th anniversary they had some special merch for that along with the other animal specific merch, clothing, soft toys, jewellery, homeware and even some cookies too!

03:55 The Backside of WATTTEEERRRR!!! 😂 I love a good zoo day! I have heard of the Paignton Zoo before, and to be honest I expected it to be much smaller. You did a great job showing off all of the animals and exhibits. So many adorable creatures and critters 🥹 I will say, although you are quite correct about the difference between poisonous and venomous - I would also say, don’t eat wild frogs and snakes, and you’ll never have to make the distinction 😂 The monkey temple was wild, literally and figuratively. Love that they have such a big (and well-themed) space to play! OMG THE RED PANDAS! 😍 Have you ever seen sweeter fluffier faces? Very sweet that Leo’s mom has a bench across from them, as well - such a lovely way to honor her memory. You had an absolutely amazing animal activity day! Thanks for sharing it with us. ✨

I couldnt resist the Jungle Cruise refernce! Haha yeah I have no intention of eating frogs! That would not be a good idea. The Red pandas are so sweet, we go tlucky we went back when they were given snacks so they came out front!
