Hey Huub, you should have mentioned that you requested a cruising permit from Customs in Montego Bay to sail to Negril but you were found in Black River. Also your documentation for your vessel reflects a different name from what is written on the vessel itself. The name clearly visible on the stern of your vessel is "Limonada" and your registration says "Tait Tait" . It could be for these reasons your vessel was boarded by police and customs.

Everyone knows not to sail to Jamaica. It’s a damn shame too the place really needs the revenue. Sucks to suck I guess.
they were looking for a payout!!!
They don’t want normal people snooping around because of all the TRAFFICKING they are doing. This is why they make it difficult for regular tourists.
What a pain. I wouldn't buy anything for the boat while your there if they are going to give you such a hard time.
Omgoodness!!!
(Note to myself...stay away from Jamaica!!!)
Wow Huub, if i were you, i would take the first opportunity to exit Jamaica and never return!!!!
So inhospitable there!!!
Im so sorry that you're having all this hassle just to visit a foreign country!!! I think i will just stay home...but then its growing more dangerous to do that too!!!
Has the whole world lost its mind? It seems like there is no place safe to be anymore!!!
Hugs!!!
Safe travels!!!
Be careful!!!

Now we know why there are so few boats in the lonely anchorages.... so rich foriegners don't want to have free(loaders) enjoying the waters and shore that they are paying for exclusive access to.... meanwhile it does give the locals a job, even though they don't know what or why they are doing it, mon lol
*If* you can keep your cool, if you hit an alligator on the top of its head, sometimes a few times, it'll back off
Really? I did not know that! But i'll try to avoid anyway hahaha
Note to self: skip Jamaica
's Lands wijs'- 's Lands eer. Maar wel vervelend.......
we have crocodiles in Jamaica. no Alligator
You are a very brave and accomplished sailor. "Keep one hand for the boat and one for yourself." Keep safe and be wise at all times when confronted by armed government officials. Jamaica sadly is definitely off limits; it is a mixed bag , a beautiful tropical island, 'la violencia' on every corner and because of history colonialism if you are just an ordinary white dude " Wid no money to grease palms" you are made to feel unwelcome. Why ?just sheer nastiness. I know because I am a white- skinned West Indian who is ashamed of the way these Jamaicans are treating You." Yah don't hav yoh full documents." Nonsense! They are just taking their resentment out on some one who is vulnerable. The guy who stopped you from motoring up the Black River is another ignoramus.
