      Ah why yes the 1896 Ed $1. Great note. Actually the 2 and 5 are just as if not more gorgeous. All great pieces.

    I have the one dollar bill note and It has the red on the left-hand side is like a Emelyn and then the coin is on the right hand side and it’s in mint condition what would that be worth

      Not fully sure I’m understanding what you’re saying but if you have a one dollar note with a red seal that’s small size I can rule it out to a 1928 legal tender worth anywhere from 150 in poor condition to substantially more in higher grade. If it’s a large size note with red seal than it couldn’t be a variety of things and I need to know more info to help out. Hope this helps, thanks for watching!

    I’m proud of you. You’ve put together a determined set and the knowledge behind it. It’s clear you have passion for currency which is something we share and it feels great haha. I’m posting my annual update soon, I think you’ll like what you’ll see ;)

      Currency Relics I appreciate it bro! This set and paper money collecting has become sort of an addiction. There’s just so much to learn and so much I want. I’m thinking my next endeavor will be the 1914 federal reserve notes type set. The 5,10,20 are relatively inexpensive but the 50 and 100 will be quite a bit. However, as mentioned there’s so much I want and I kind of need to finish up my proof type set. So we shall see what’s next. Big coin show this weekend I’m going to. Anyhow, happy you enjoyed. You have an amazing collection and I watch your videos quite often seeming to catch something new each time. Looking forward to the update. Be sure to let me know when this is up!

    Uh oh 😬 I finally watched this... We have a problem now. I absolutely love the designs on several of these, especially the backs of the bills. Oh nooooooo

      Coin Sense And Nonsense you and me both brother! Paper money is so undervalued now compared to its 2008 highs. Now is the time to get involved in my opinion. I always thought it was out of my reach with the cost but it’s actually more affordable in many pleasing examples. Glad you enjoyed brother. I’ll be posting videos of my small size notes shortly. Stay tuned!

    Amazing. I really like the black eagle one dollar note. The two dollar note with Washington on it. Never saw it before. My knowledge in this arena is severely lacking. Off to watch part two to expand it. Thanks for the upload my friend, I know you've been looking forward to completing and airing this series. Congratulations!

      Super pumped you got to see it! Many of the subs I have rarely view my content and so I am always appreciative of people like you who always watch the content and enjoy it. Yes the black eagle note is an EXCELLENT introductory note to paper currency. Relatively inexpensive, attractive design, and highly popular. If you ever search for one, make sure to get one problem free without stains, tears, repairs etc. Moreover, a VF or above grade is typically acceptable and easier to resale if ever you needed to. The 2 dollar is super intricate on the obverse. I believe it has engineering and technology represented in the allegorical figures. It gets it's nickname from the 1923 5 dollar silver certificate porthole with Lincoln. Thanks again for watching my friend!

    Incredible collection. Thanks for sharing. I have a few of the silver certificate horse blankets but always wanted the Chief note. My oldest note right now is a 1917 $2 one my son and daughter in law gave me for my birthday a few months ago and I did a video of it. GD

      Thank you much for stopping by and viewing my channel! I’m glad you’ve enjoyed it! The 1917 2 dollar legal is a gorgeous note! I think the legals have slightly more beautiful notes than the silvers. Don’t get me wrong I love the large size silver certificates and some of them are highly decorative, I just feel there is more attractive legal tenders than there are silvers. Anyhow, I just looked over on your channel and realized you had more content than I saw earlier! For some reason my computer didn’t load up the rest of your videos! Off to see them now thanks for commenting my friend!

      @@silversurfer1986 I collect the small size bills but I think I will start building a collection of the early large size. My family were all printers and lithographers going back to the 1800's so interesting currency, checks and stock certificates fascinate me. Happy Hunting! GD

      GD Saving The Past AMAZING! There’s a famous print shop in Nashville at the country music hall of game building where they still utilize the old methods of printing for music advertisement posters. When visiting you can watch them operate the presses as the day the opened. I picked up an awesome Johnny Cash poster! Good luck in your hunt and post the results of your large size collection when you can!

      😉 May I ask where you got your album for your large size graded currency? Very Nice 👍

    • @silversurfer1986
      @silversurfer1986  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      Ontario100 smart man! No better time than now to do it. The large size notes at under valued in my opinion as the market took a dump about 10 years ago. Hasn’t recovered yet and the prices on them reflect that. It’s only a matter of time until prices go back up especially when a new currency change happens as it almost did this year with the 20. Either way, it’s awesome because many of the popular notes are affordable in decent grades. Anyhow, I got my album and sleeves from my LCS. They’ve been in business since the 70’s and he recommended the lighthouse grande album. They make all different size sleeves and all are Mylar non pvc safe. I’ll warn you, it isn’t cheap. However, I always crack up when people spend hundreds to thousands on their collection and store it in cheap products. You should be able to get the album for about 50 and sleeves for about a buck a piece. I also use Mylar sleeves for non graded raw notes to put them in first then the lighthouse holders. I’ll post some eBay links for ya.

      Ontario100 get them off eBay though because it’s slightly cheaper and you don’t pay for shipping often times. Again it’s the “grande” album. That fits the large and small notes.
