    I hate to sound rude, but whomever you hand model was their fingernails were so dirty. Maybe it was left over polish that just didn't get removed. It was very visible even after you put the dual forms on and popped them off. I could see either the dirt or old polish all along the sides and underneath that persons nails. Other then that the nails turned out nice. I would highly recommend cleaning up your next hand model a little bit better. So very sorry to be so critical but it should help your videos out in the future. Once again, I do apologize.

      That was the first thing I noticed. And as a technician OR nail enthusiast, ensuring that your clients nail beds are properly cleaned is Step #1.. trapping that dirt and bacteria under product is not only bad practice and unsightly, but can lead to fungus growing under applications. You're right to say something, and I hope this poster learns to not cut corners.

    Thanks for keeping it simple. I went thru two videos before finding yours and those other videos were doing fancy designs and all I wanted was a simple prep, color, and finish video 😩 and you did that. Thank you 🙏🏼

      I know I shouldn't be touching it and I'm going to do better in the future because I know I'm unnecessarily exposing myself. It's just so hard to shape things and make them smooth and you can't feel it. And it's hard to think about gel being so toxic, but I know that it is.

      @secretdevilyt it's not about the toxicity of the product, but more because of the oils and dirt on fingertips discoloring and clouding the product. You want to touch the product as little as possible because a clear glux will go to cloudy REAL quick if handled a lot.

    Hi am new to world of nail gels so I was wondering, when it comes to removing them do you use acetone, file them off or the new products that claim to remove the nail in minutes.

    • @secretdevilyt
      @secretdevilyt  ปีที่แล้ว +2

      A little of all 3 actually. File it thin first. Then gel remover if I don't have time to sit and soak. All the options are good so try them out and see which is best for you.

      The polygel? It is called icy and it's Evie's patty gel from long hair pretty nails.

    Am new here at this channel. So i had dude with this new product. You didnt use gel lamp to pop up the dual form? Or use out of cam? Thanks for your attention.

    • @secretdevilyt
      @secretdevilyt  6 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      Yes. I used a lamp to cure the gel. And then you can peel off the duel forms after the gel is hard.

    I’d be curious to see these jails 2-3 weeks out because I have issues with adhesion with solid gel glue, it pops right off no matter what I do. I have no problem with the liquid nail glue for gel X or polygel but something about solid gel doesn’t stay for me.

    • @secretdevilyt
      @secretdevilyt  ปีที่แล้ว

      It is hard to remove. I have run into the same issue. For me, I find it's best to file it very thin but be careful to to get this enough to hit your natural nail. And then soak and scrape the rest in acetone or use a gel remover product. They look like a bottle of gel polish but it makes your nail flex causes the gel to crumble and slough off. You can get some on Amazon. Or you can always leave the very thin layer on for stability if you like.

    For someone who is a complete beginner to all of this I still think it would’ve been much easier for a beginner if you actually explained exactly what it was I have no idea why it was going on the back of the nail is that something that you would cure after I don’t know I’m just completely confused as again a beginner who has no idea what that stuff even is that you used or the reason why you applied at the way you did

    • @secretdevilyt
      @secretdevilyt  7 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Those are not nails. They're called dual forms. I do have tutorials on how to use dual forms on my channel though. It's just a mold. You put the product in and you cure it and then you take the plastic off and it leaves the product shaped as a nail.

      The focus of this video was to try out this new product that I had never used before. So that is why I did not go into detail on application instruction. I just wanted to see if this product worked for what I thought it would work for. And it does.

    I thought you weren't suppose to use bare fingers because of the oils on your skin?

    • @secretdevilyt
      @secretdevilyt  11 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      You aren't supposed to be touching gel with your fingers. The oil is less of the problem and more the allergy likely every time you touch it. Definitely wear gloves.
