We’ve been to the Cliffs twice and heading back soon. My tips: purchase tickets ahead of time on line, allow 4+ hours, bypass the museum- save it for the end if you have time, walk the trails, go towards the left trails first for most spectacle views and less crowds, wear good, protective footwear, and dress warmly or in layers. As you hike the trail it can be sunny and warm and no breeze in one area, then cold and windy and blustery a little further up. Take water! Use the restroom before you begin the hike. Enjoy!
If you get a chance visit The Slieve League Cliffs of Donegal Ireland "Stand at nearly three times the height of the Cliffs of Moher". They are lesser known but gorgeous. When I went to Ireland I visited both. Such a gorgeous country!
I'm Irish, actually live in one of the towns you passed! Love to see you enjoying beautiful Galway ❤ you pronounced the castles name ok! And Quay Street in the city is pronounced *key* Street 😊 hope you loved your time here ❤️ xx
My wife and I love visiting Ireland. We went for the first time back in September 2017 for 2 weeks and absolutely fell in love with the country. Also Ireland is the one of I think 2 countries that require you to buy their insurance when rent a car. So just be aware about that cost, we were caught off guard about that.
I’m Irish and I live in Dublin. I haven’t been to the cliffs in approx 20 years and the last time I was there those barriers were not there . Believe me when you stand , or lie down, right on the edge and look down it is an experience ! At 60 now it’s unlikely I will do it again and I fully understand the safety issue, there have been a few incidents.
Yes!!! So true! So I had driven to Belfast & during the Northern Ireland section.. so I should’ve known better for sure lol I did drive after this to our afternoon castle tea experience and then Matt got car sick! 🤣🤷🏼♀️ so next time Dramamine for both of us! Haha
Enjoyed the video. I had 3 coworkers visit Ireland this summer. Two out of three were fogged in or raining during their visit to the cliffs. Glad you two had lovely weather. Thanks for sharing. ♥
If you have a car, the caves in Doolin are pretty cool, especially if you get there and find the weather is not ideal for hiking or taking the boat around the cliffs or to the islands
I’m from around. People fall off the cliffs accidentally and intentionally a lot ALOT! The walls are needed. It’s not even reported most the time how many people intentionally fall. There are so many places. Where tourists don’t venture to. So please for the love of god please anyone visiting have a bit of cop on and don’t get too close to the edge. And don’t let your kids run around. Today a toddler fell off.
Wow... Breathtaking. Those cliffs are huge. Watching them on photos one might think its a risky end of the world cut, but from the videos, they're huge. Truly a great place to visit.. Lots of appreciations from Kenya...🇰🇪🇰🇪🇰🇪🇰🇪🇰🇪
If you want a beach with swimmable water go to Portmarnock resort on the coast close to Dublin airport. It's actually quite affordable. There's an authentic Irish golf course on the beach, tea time lounge with a sea view and the seaweed bath experience at the spa. For a colder water rince there's Helen's bay beach near Belfast. You can also book a sailing boat sea tour in Dublin and they get you to participate in hoisting the sails.
@4.13 its dun guh-rah-ai castle, hope you all enjoy the tour trip to Ireland next year! You will be used to the roads by next year 😛 The Kerry Cliffs are fantastic and more spectacular and a lot, LOT quieter, go neirí an bóthar leat
Oh my gosh you are not lying! Those Kerry cliffs were spectacular!!! Woah! We are so looking forward to coming back next year!!! Hahaha thank you so much for the correction, we knew we were saying that wrong! 🤣🤦🏼♀️😜 haha thanks so much for watching! 🥰
Bahahaha 🤣 I totally did! 🤷🏼♀️😜 that thing was ROUGH! Hahaha I had to share the experience, you know?! 🤪 haha they really were beautiful! Thanks so much for watching & for you kind comment! We appreciate you more than you know! 💗
We agree, we just wanted to share a realistic experience especially if people have small children and never see the walls of Instagram etc. 🥰 Thanks for watching!
Sadly just a couple of weeks ago, a young American tourist climbed over that stone barrier to take a photo and fell and died. So tragic. Just before O'Brien's Tower, there are a couple of viewing points that allow for more visibility. There is a plan to enhance the visitor experience with a glass sky walk on their proposed Cliffs of Moher 2040 Strategy Plan. There is a big banner with the renderings of the plan just outside the visitor centre at the start of the walk towards the Cliffs. Enjoy your visit to the Cliff but be safe.
First trip to England I reserved an automatic car. But when arrived had to settle on straight shift. Definitely double stress. Fortunately we landed in Manchester and main road was what we call interstate highway. UK secondary roads are not much wider than US one way roads.
Oh wow. We knew what we were in for since we reserved a straight shift, but just showing up & getting one is definitely double stress!! It was stressful driving it for us! We are super thankful nothing happened to us! Lol 😂
This very American. There’s no stress in changing gear and driving scenic country roads on holiday is much nicer than driving huge highways or soulless towns that have huge roads going through the middle of them as nobody walks. It’s all, part of the experience to be enjoyed.
We were at the Cliffs last week. We didn't have a problem with the walls. Be sure to see the 3D video and the historic video when you are there! I didn't notice any problems with crowds.
We are going to the Cliffs in June. I have a DJI Mini 3 drone, can I use it there? I noticed you had drone footage, how did that process work? Thanks for the feedback! Great video!
I'm confused. You have to buy tickets? Where is the ticket office? Looking on Google Maps all I see is a Cliffs of Moher Experience. I don't a Ticket office. Also, if/when you buy the tickets does that also get you access to walk along the cliffs on the trails? and is there a time limit you can stay? So many questions.
Yep! If you want to access through the official area, you’ll need tickets. Check out our blog where we cover a lot of this info… www.adventuresofmattandnat.com/post/cliffs-of-moher-5-things-to-know-before-you-go Thanks for watching!
Hello Guys I am a big fan of you. I have been learning a lot and enjoying at the same time. Regards since Guatemala, Note: If some day you are interested in travel here, you are welcome. 😊
Another awesome vlog! But this one for me is a huge NO 😂. I’m so afraid of heights it’s not even funny. When I fly I never get a window sit. The castle though is amazing luv that stuff, it’s so beautiful there! Luv y’all stay safe.🙏👍✈️🗻🏜️
We went to Ireland in September and the Cliffs of Moher were honestly one of our least favorite things we did lol. Pretty yes, but too touristy and we honestly thought cliffs we saw the day before along the Wild Atlantic Way further north were much more beautiful and we even had some spots all to ourselves. We also pronounced pretty much everything wrong in our videos. Haha 😂 Loved your video, thanks for sharing! -Candice, Andrew, and Riley 🐾
Yes! Couldn’t agree more! 🥰 Did y’all get a chance to see the Kerry Cliffs?! Those were stunning as well! Hahaha glad we aren’t alone in mispronouncing things! Hahaha thanks so much for watching & for your kind comment! 🥰💗
“part-time, non-remote travel couple”… “part time” means that we have other jobs and don’t travel full time. “non-remote” means that our other jobs aren’t remote jobs, so we have to be back home for work. “travel couple” we are a couple that loves to travel! Hope that answered your question! Thanks for watching!😊
I love your videos, I feel as I was there with you two. I'll be there in a couple of weeks, I'll take part of a tour, I hope that the weather will be good that day.
So there's some useful information here and the drone shots are cool, but why not include where you were when you took most of your shots? Or at least drop some pins on where you saw the most scenic views?
You should try Slieve League Cliffs when you come back, nowhere near as many people and much more impressive/dramatic than Moher in my opinion. Moher still beautiful though 😊
My wife and I visited Ireland last year and i tell you what? the Irish people are amazing friendly happy party dogs, the Guinness beer is perfect but the cliffs!? i didn’t get it. i thing people’s brains were washed because there’s nothing special out there worth the thrill seriously .
I thot this video segment of Ireland was the poorest you did. If you don't know how to pronounce something, ask a local before you film. It's tiresome and lame to hear you apologize. Gaelic is difficult because it uses sounds different for letters than we do. Since you are there, honor the culture and find out. Why try to do so much in a day? If you make only a superficial visit like that castle, why bother? It means nothing to us. I do consider that you have a time and money budget. I don't get what's so special about the Moher Cliffs. Anyone who has been to the West Coast or Maine & NorthEast Coast of the US or in the mountains anywhere (Smoky Mountains sound familiar?) has seen cliffs. The ones you showed were boring brown earth tones. And they charge money and have a timed ticket for that? Ridiculous. The grounds just look like a park or ranchland. What's so special? I have enjoyed many of your videos. One suggestion I have is to make them less about you and more about the location. I would like to know more about where you are visiting and less about how you liked it. You seem to be positive about almost everything. I would like to hear some honest criticism and analysis. While I know prices change, I would like to hear what admission and food prices were when you visited. This helps to decide on the value of the places you go and to consider alternatives.

How much in advance should one buy txs?
Thanks for the tip! Visiting in September.

Dingle is a good Irish town for an experience with people in Western Ireland. you can take a boat to the Aran Islands
I'm Irish, actually live in one of the towns you passed! Love to see you enjoying beautiful Galway ❤ you pronounced the castles name ok! And Quay Street in the city is pronounced *key* Street 😊 hope you loved your time here ❤️ xx
Thanks for the heads up on motion sickness! Dramamine and I will be prepared😊
Yes!!!! Don’t make the same mistake we did!! 🤦🏼♀️

I used to do the same, same age group, again haven’t been there in 20 years ish.
The barriers were put in place to help stop the high suicide rate at the cliffs
It helps to be the one driving if you get car sick on windy roads! You guys got so lucky with the weather!
Yes!!! So true! So I had driven to Belfast & during the Northern Ireland section.. so I should’ve known better for sure lol I did drive after this to our afternoon castle tea experience and then Matt got car sick! 🤣🤷🏼♀️ so next time Dramamine for both of us! Haha

just got back, cliffs were great but St. Paddy's day in Dublin was incredible!
Good morning all happy Monday morning and I loved your vlogs and you all amazing Supporter and I'm proud of all of you
Ireland has nice views, great video. Food looks great.
So fun to watch!!

Natalie totally set you up for eating that bar 😂. The Cliffs were beautiful the drone footage is GORGEOUS!!

Yes, also people have fallen off the cliffs, so I’d say the safety walls are pretty necessary.
Agree

Really?!? We were there again on June 4th! That would’ve been awesome to run into you!!!
Where are your sunglasses from Nat? ❤
Amazing video showcasing the Cliffs of Moher. How did you get the drone shots? I thought drones were prohibited.
Just got back from there yesterday. I didn’t have any issue with walls…but I’m 6’3”😊
🤣🤣 that may have helped! Lol
Such beauty!!! 🎉❤
Yes!!! Spectacular! 💗
Please visit The Oasis at sunset when you’re in the Austin area! It’s a huge Tex-Mex restaurant with the best lakefront views of Lake Travis!
Yes!!! That place looks awesome!! 🥰 Thanks for the recommendation!
Lake Travis is very nice!

If anyone is driving from Galway to the Clifts take the buren national park road via Blackhead. It’s not to be missed.
Ahhh this is the second comment about this! So sad we missed it, but thanks so much for sharing! 🥰
Oh, it's so pretty. I recently discovered my 13th great grandfather was born in Dublin. Y'all, I am Irish now!! 😆

was does "non-remote travel" mean?
“part-time, non-remote travel couple”…
“part time” means that we have other jobs and don’t travel full time.
“non-remote” means that our other jobs aren’t remote jobs, so we have to be back home for work.
“travel couple” we are a couple that loves to travel!
Hope that answered your question! Thanks for watching!😊

Lidl rhymes with middle
can you imagine the person ie persons hiking that hill making the castle
What about tolls?
The route between Galway city and the Cliffs of Moher does not have any tolls.
Love your videos.
Two things.
Quay is pronounced "Key".
Sláinte is pronounced "Slahn-Cha"
Awww thanks for watching & for letting us know!!! Now we know for next time when we come back in June! 🤣🤦🏼♀️ haha
Ireland is so beautiful! Can’t wait to visit.
Nat your smile is so beautiful. If you don’t mind me asking. Where did you get your veneers?
Quay is pronounced Key :)
The tour guide told us it was DUN-GEE-REE. Not sure with the sounds in English but if you can read french, it's sound like DON-GUÈ-RI. 🙃
Ohhh thank you so much for sharing!!! 🥰
Lil Woosie lol 😆
🤣🤣 girl it was bad… bahaha but that will be my rap name. 😜 Hope y’all are doing great! 💗
Where are the cliff cows?! That was our favorite part as it was super cold, rainy, and cloudy the day we visited, but the cows were really nice!
I believe Conan O'Brien went to O'Brien Tower once and claimed it was his because his ancestors used to own it.
❤🎉
