We just upgraded to Ozone 10. You guys did it again. It's a must for us to create great audio for our radio station clients. Ozone 10 helps us do that. Great job!
If you're on the fence about purchasing or upgrading to Ozone 10, I can tell you that it is night and day between version 9 and 10. I've remastered 2 of 5 upcoming releases and they sound so much better with Ozone 10 with less effort. 9 was great...10 is a perfect score!
I downloaded and installed and there's no shortcut for Ozone 10 on my desktop. I found the plugin in Cubase 11 but not a standalone I can open from my desktop like Ozone 9. What's up with that?
They did not make a Standalone version for Ozone 10. They are saying that according to their metrics only 5% of people that use Ozone use the standalone version. I find that to be crap. The standalone version is the only way I am able to use Ozone being how CPU intensive it is when using it in my DAW (Studio One 5 Professional). I feel iZotope is cutting corners and becoming like some of these other predatorial companies. They cut out the standalone version but didn't cut the price!
They made kind of dick move and dropped the standalone app and didn't bother to mention this on the front page. There is info about it buried somewhere in FAQ on their website but that's it. I was surprised and disappointed as well. I paid for the update so I will keep it but I'll be still using my Ozone 9 as standalone version is easier and quicker for me to use.
@@RudalPL Yep, I think it was a bad decision not to include a standalone. Plus the new modules as I said above didn't really do much for me. I don't think it's an improvement over Oz9.
@@OfficialStevenCravis I'm feeling the new impact and stabilizer modules Stabilizer is like gullfoss but with oz10 u can choose different freq curves for it to shape too The impact is mad.. Technically yes. It is activated upon a Master Assistant pass and controlled at a high level through the Stabilizer macro parameter in the Master Assistant UI. You can make finer adjustments to the module by heading into the detailed view and navigating to the module itself.
I just don't understand why you guys didn't give us the option to use stabilizer module shape and cut separately in the ozone? We can use only shape or only cut, why?
Thinking about upgrading from Ozone 9 Advanced. One question: is the Master Assistant now capable to "listen" to the whole track or is it still the same as in Ozone 9, listening only to about 20 to 30 seconds? - I have Izotope 9 and it is a great app I use in 99% of my works, but a downside with it is that, when applied to songs that have very wide dynamics (mostly instrumental, cinematic and classic)... the "master assistant" is almost useless because it takes in account only about 15 secs of the song.... and the Learn Threshold, definitively is not a solution to use while printing... is just like to, maybe take a refference at some point. . .
Hi Marco, interesting points. Did you start Master Assistant at the loudest point of the premaster, and when you bounce (or export) with Ozone ON, did you make sure that LUFS Target text was white, not blue?
@@OfficialStevenCravis Hi Steven. Yes, MAster Assistant at the loudest point... I love Ozone and I will continue using it, and it is for sure that I will upgrade to Ozone 10 in the near future, maybe BlackFriday. . . but then, I believe now could be a great time to let the developers know how important this details can be for us users and maybe they can better the app on this or the next update.
@@OfficialStevenCravis Thanks Steven, when I use LPX, Cubase and Bitwig I have it on 512 and Ozone 9 works great in all of them. iZotope dropped the standalone version due to lack of use according to their support. Too many people forget to uncheck the 'send data to developer' in preferences.
@@DreamsongsProductions Means just what I said. If people didn't uncheck the 'send data to developer' box in preferences then iZotope wouldn't know how often something gets used (or not). @@musicman8942 IM EXTREMELY UNHAPPY ABOUT THIS NEW. Using a daw for mastering is frankly inefficient user experience compared to standalone. Maybe users never sent data to devs because we had no complaints and it was working just great? Anyways thanks for the clarification.

Izotope quick question if you have RX 10 would you need Ozone 10? A lot of your videos are obviously based on Music related stuff but for Voice overs you'd probably only need RX10 (even previous versions would probably be good enough) do you guys have any master classes targeted for just voice overs coming up with all the NEW updates? would love that.
Nice feautures but your upgrade prices are way expensive. I won't upgrade at such cost considering I'm a longtime loyalty user having paid already so much money for a single plugin during all previous upgrades so far. Such a shame, you will lose a customer over here if you don't think twice about your upgrade prices... Not happy at all.
You're right because this time next year, there will be v11 and it will also cost hundreds of dollars to upgrade.....and I haven't even used Ozone 9 once since I upgraded earlier this year. I actually found a way to mix into a couple mastering processes so that mastering isn't really even needed as a separate process anymore.
it's so sad that most music companies focus too much on beat makers and hip hop/trap beats and not on other music genres, e.g. jazz/neo soul/funk/dnb/house/chill/downtempo/nu jazz/trip-hop electronic music etc etc... . it bothers me quite a lot that almost all companies focus too much on the creators of hip hop/trap beats. we also have other music makers who make completely different music than hip hop/trap beats. nowadays in this world there is far too much focus on hip hop/trap/beat makers sounds and it is the simplest/easiest music genre in the world, so hundreds of thousands of kids and teenage boys start making beats and most of them, i.e. almost all of them, sound the same (trap beats). I of course support izotope because it is a great help for making music/sound production. as you can see, I'm not a fan of trap beats at all and I hate them!... note that this is my opinion on the matter
In Ozone’s new Master Assistant you’ll find targets for Rock, Jazz, Folk, Cinematic, Reggae and more. The music used in this and other videos we’ve created to educate our subscribers does not represent the only genre one can master with Ozone 10. Thanks for your comment!
Very disappointing that there’s no standalone, this is what swayed me to buy Ozone 8/9 and stay loyal to iZotope in buying Music Production Suite 5 to get 10, I want my money back, half an Ozone is not good enough…
Just curious why one cannot just open the audio file in your DAW first and then insert Ozone 10 on the Stereo Output? Not arguing or judging, just honestly very curious why this is an issue?
It's 2022 and iZotope still developes plugins, which don''t support HiDPI. When using Ozone, Neutron etc. with HiDPI displays the fonts are too small and not readable. While the plugin window size can be scalled, the content including fonts and control elements are not. Sorry, but this unacceptable and really a shame for those expensive products.
Looks cool but gimmicky. Pushed towards beatmakers and beginners with all the ai stuff and the clipper, not much new here that producers or engineers who've been around a while won't already have their own tried and tested tools for. Then again...what else was left to add? I suppose I would really have appreciated if this update was all about CPU performance but that's not very sexy for the marketing team ;) Edit: As an aside...whenever these new features get announced with their shiny new price tag it really makes me appreciate the sheer value of what you're given stock with Ableton...
Ehh … just seems like more snake oil for digital production nothing imo beats Analog or Analog emulations, a couple EQs, some tape saturation, and a limiter is all that’s really needed, a lot of this “tonal balance” stuff will ruin your mix
There's an obvious solution. Time for a new system... Windows 7 hasn't been supported by many software companies for quite some time now. I think most people with DAWs are using 10, so companies have no reason to continue developing for a system that is over 10 years out of date.
I've been wanting a clipper in the Maximizer for a long time. Glad to see that its finally here. The Stabilizer and Impact Modules look good also.

You must include in Maximizer an listen feature to "hear" what is been "cutted" (delta ear)
and also on Dynamics module just like FF Pro-C2
