Hope you all are doing well.
Finding a better place to stay in Manali for long time is bit difficult as you won’t get a lot of details online. Also, getting good place to stay in Manali within your budget is very important. This place is perfect for work from Manali or work from mountains.
We decided not to stay in the main city or near Manali Mall Road, because Manali is bit crowded. So we booked our stay around 8 KMs away from Manali Mall Road.
The place where we are staying is Khaknal. Khaknal is a small and one of the most beautiful village near Manali ( Himachal Pradesh). You can see Manali from Khaknal village and the landscape is awesome here.
Khaknal is peaceful and you will get all the basic things here like food, vegetable, ATMs and small grocery shops within 1 KMs.
Also, in Khaknal you will get a lot of Homestay’s, hotels and cottages with all the basic amenities like hot water, room heater, WiFi and work from home options.
Government and private bus you will get for Manali and Kullu from Khaknal in every 20 minutes.
Kullu is around 35 KMs from Khaknal. It has good connectivity from Manali as well as from Kullu.
In Khaknal you can see a lot of apple trees and you can have fresh apples from Himachal Pradesh apple orchards.
Also, if you are coming from your own car then you have to pay INR 200 as a green tax which is valid for 7 days - this you have to pay if you are visiting Manali.

Manali is one of the most beautiful hill stations in Himachal Pradesh and everyone are coming here and visiting Mall Road and Hadimba temple - which is good but our recommendation (You Me and Travel) is to try staying a little far from Manali to enjoy the nature. We would suggest staying in Khaknal and enjoy the nature.

Hi Moin, we stayed at least for 2-3 months (working from here) but haven't faced any electricity issues...you will face very rare power cuts...During the winter there might be some cuts but only if very heavy snowfall will happen...And they have power backup for emergency....😇😇

Hi Jogin, Room rent depend karta hai season pe...Aur room me Sara basic saman mil jata hai, like bed, TV, bed and other kitchen items. Washing Machine and fridge nahi tha jab hamlog the waha...Bat Shayad wo arrange Kar sakte hain (sure nahi hai). But room and owner Bahot achche hain...😇😇
