I love your tip about sending out e-invites! We have family members that would appreciate physical invites, so we can't go fully online for all our guests, but we can definitely cut costs!
re cake. We are having 3 large chocolate cakes from the supermarket on 3 different height cakes stands with some fresh flower heads and fruit on the top... Large supermarket chains sell large "celebration" chocolate cakes that serve up to 20 people(£10 per cake) per cake - we are having about 50 guests, so they will do just fine...They are gorgeous, too!
I would have loved to hire my wedding dress, but sadly, in Germany that's nearly as expensive as buying a new one. Also, hiring a dress usually means that only minor alterations are possible (I'm 5' and also need other major alterations), so hiring is completely off the table for me. I will look for a secondhand or sample dress instead :) (and hoping that I can alter my dress into a normal dress afterwards, because selling a dress altered for a very short person is quite impossible if you are living in the region with the world's tallest people :D I liked the other hacks, though :)
I was hoping we could re-purpose our wedding flowers but I found out as we’re getting married in a church the flowers are seen as a gift to the church 🤷🏼♀️
A wedding breakfast food budget video would be so greatly appreciated!!

Sample sales can be an awesome option! ❤
Use your engagement photos and on the back put the save the date or the actual invite. Kind of modern and different take on it.
