The QM2 is one of the few remaining items on my travel list. I did sail on the old SS Rotterdam in the 1970s. She was a beautiful ocean liner, still in the Port of Rotterdam, I believe.
QM2 is one of the last liners that can take an absolute hammering deep out at sea.. most big ships these days have to stick to specific paths as they can’t handle the punishment

It was also my very first voyage on an ocean liner, or cruise ship of any kind. Never once did I get motion sickness, and I do suffer from motion sickness in cars.

Sailed on SS Rotterdam several times. First time was August of 1976 through hurricane Belle. Itinerary was Nassau and Bermuda, sailing from NYC.
