Great Tutorial Rachel, I love hand stitching and never thought Flying Geese could be hand pieced, I'm so looking forward to trying this, thank you so much for sharing this.
Great tutorial! I do find it easier to keep my points with hand stitching. I mostly do it for the relaxation and portability of it. Except curves and blocks with a LOT of points and y seams - then I really prefer hand piecing. Y seams are so easy with hand piecing.
Thank you. Yeah I am the same, hand sewing is so much more relaxing than being at a sewing machine, comfort of an arm chair and still stitching away! Thanks for watching xx
@@stitchwithrachel yes I had thought of other shoes to use. Thanks, this helps an old woman with health issues who can't stop making things. I've realized this is how my great grandmother would have done piecing by hand. Thank you.
Like your show so much, such good content and issues looked at, so helpful as I struggle to take better care of my self,I have asthma, vertigo, diabetes, incurable cancer( so I'm told)I have gone over their time limit for how long I have to live, but want to have a doctor who wants to help me find the best way to help me continue on working out the best things to do and take for me in my journey on this road
Anyone know where I can get these templates in Canada? Might be able to 3D print them but would love to get ones I don’t have to worry about sizing / sanding
So lovely Rachel. I feel that hand stitching is very relaxing and meditative. Thank you for sharing. ❤😊
It really is, I love it xx
That was so interesting Rachel. Even if I didn't find it easier I would think it would be very relaxing to stitch the flying geese by hand. xx
Yeah its certainly more relaxing x

Glad to have inspired you! They come together surprisingly quickly x
I like hand stitching as it is portable, unlike my machine. I also find it quite calming.

Love it. Thanks ❤
Because of health reasons I can't sit at a sewing machine anymore. This encourages me about doing more than epp.
You can do so many shapes with this method and you can make your own templates to save costs aswell xx
