  • Pinball games? Yup, and the Saturn had some good ones.
    This is part of the videos from the first run of my channel. They have technical and editing issues that I am not going back to fix. They are presented as they are.

    One good selling point about pinball Necronomicon. Is the guitarist who is featured on this game. I'm sure everyone is a Dream Theater fan is well aware of mr. John Petrucci himself has his music on that game

    Great production, I really enjoyed this one! Only 36 likes? That's a Crime!
    I guess the problem with pinball games is that most people do not even give these games a chance. But once even the most casual gamer starts playing, they'll have a blast

    I don't really care for pinball games at all, but your Saturn videos are always great to watch.

    Lord X, I love your content. Never had a Saturn growing up and now I have two. A Japanese Model 2 and a US Model 1. There are so many games and thanks to you, I know which to look out for. You're the man

    After wanting it for a long time, I finally got Kyutenkai Fantastic Pinball. Pretty much everything you said here is true, I really like it but the table design makes it too easy to gutter imo. It sent me back to give Last Gladiators another shot, and I really fell in love with it. I do want to check out the 9.7 version though, the ball does tend to get hung up on ramp curves constantly, and sometimes seems to lose momentum or weight such that it doesn't trigger the jets or slings. But that brought me back to watch this video again to see what the deal was with it and the others on the system, it had been a while and this is a great reference. I had completely forgotten Necronomicon was by the same folks, that's moving up to the top of my to-get list next.

    Last Gladiator argueably was the best pinball game the Sega Saturn had. The visuals were spot on and so was the physics of the pinballs! If you set the Saturns date to Christmas time. The game would show a FMV of the Last Gladiators production crews making the game! I played that pinball game for hours!

    I put this episode among faves in the like section long ago. I have only the web at home, and Tilt was not in stock where I Went to swap some things but ultimately I think it will be a game really up my Alley, there seems to be a certain flow to it. One of my favourite games growing up was Sonic Spinball and although I never have finished the final objective in the last Boss room, I have never decided to shy away from playing it. In Sonic of course replay ability is what is always there if one decides to pick up rings to open bonus levels, but it also has balanced platform elements and while I have grown less attached to the original side scrolling sonic games(while I have Sonic Jam now) I Always felt that Sonic Spinball was special. My father went ready to be hunting it down when he could not reach Sonic 3D. On MEGA Drive, there seems to have been many pinball games, Sega Force said terrible things about Crüe Ball (compared it to being as fun as vomit in your under pants) back in the day and while I grew tired of it, I swapped it away for something else I have got it again for a very modest amount of cash. It has a right on go, one of these games I really want to get on playing when I can be totally focused. I also have Dragon's Fury now which Sega Force Magazine noted that if you must have pinball on the MEGA, get Dragon's Fury both of these titles as it was indicated were designed by people doing actual pinball machines, I never understood why people think so Little about pinball games on SEGA video game systems, be that on Saturn or any other, they are easy to pick up and play, as you always emphasise, and they are good willing and able to make you sit down on a couch while playing and that's really something. Tilt could very well turn out to be one of my next time orders for Saturn, the dynamics the intrigue me as much watching this episode all over again, great relaxation and still familiar when comming back from a long day at work, my Little tip is do a video about pinball on Mega Drive and Genesis. I also came to see this is the right time to ask you: This Sega Lord X does this mean you come a dynasty of Sega Lords of which you are the tenth? for you are not make a secret for the fact that you ARE (Indeed) SEGA LORD X

      right before I saw this comment, I read about that, except it said music "by John Petrucci of Dream Theater." --so maybe it wasn't the whole band.

    It's funny, when testing my Action Replay I needed a japanese game to test. Looking for just ANYTHING really that would be playable enough and to burn, I stumbled upon Necronomicon! The odds of me picking the "best 32-bit era pinball game" must have been pretty slim!

  • @feederunderground
    @feederunderground 6 ปีที่แล้ว +2

    i know you may disagree with that but really, the pro pinball series is on a league on it's own. i know there are just one table per game lunless you buy the pro pinball trilogy on the dreamcast/ps2) but others simply cannot compare to the beautifulness and the fun of big race usa. quite a shame it was released only on ps1 on the 32 bit era...

    I want to play a lot of these, but I'm afraid of the screen burn-in on my CRT from the ones that are single screen. I'll likely play Pinball Graffiti since it follows the ball a lot.

    I instantly bought PRO PINBAll in a retail store after release. I had the choice between this game and Command and Conquer 1. Because I did not know anything about both titels I made a big mistake (for my small pocket money)...Till today I am not happy with my decision.

    About thid episode, I just played a round of Digital Pinball in Samurai Show Down, the game play is sturdy and solid, I am about to pick up other games I have ordered, Tilt AND The Web on monday but from all the games I have played it seems that this sturdy title is the one where there is some real emphasis on multi ball action, is it true or am I just bad at activating it in a frequent way in other Pinball games? by the wat I usually switch of the rippin' music so that I can focus more on reaction and game play...

  • @janfreidun
    @janfreidun 6 ปีที่แล้ว

    As I am on the sicklist and only working half time as it is, I want to get tilt or the web yea, probably both because they look like perfect for me when I Think about pin ball games Always feel down for swapping away Crüeball and never getting dragons fury (both for Mega Drive) but I will remain feeling bad about this shitty situation with having bought two Sonic 3D Saturn Game with scratches properly put in just the wrong places, I the price range and the comfortable feel to playing them may easily make for buying more than one title

    • @janfreidun
      @janfreidun 6 ปีที่แล้ว

      more than I Think about the Price Range, I bet playing Pinball games and Learning to control impulses and reflexes will be very fine for me and I say yea, there are often times simple controller schemes programmed for these games so I am looking really forward to getting some of these titles almost so I cannot make up my mind,

    I've got a chipped Saturn, but I'd never bother actually collecting legit games for it. Imagine piddling away crazy money on a game only to lose it to disc rot.

    • @gametourny4ever627

      It’s not just about the Disc. The packaging, Artwork, and Manual are all things folks that get the physical copy are after as well.

      @@gametourny4ever627 I've still got a bunch of big box PC games along with a ton of console crap and at this point in my life I'd rather have the extra room for other hobbies. Sure it's neat to look at the box art and manual, but how often do you really do it? And more importantly is looking at the back of the real Panzer Dragoon Saga box worth the asking price?

    • @gametourny4ever627
      @gametourny4ever627 2 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      @@Sashko_Dee I hear ya there with the new hobbies. I have my Copy of Panzer that sits right behind my home office to look at when work is frustrating. Lol. I can’t say it is worth getting now but years ago without a doubt. I enjoy sharing my passion with my friends and family however with Game Nights and Tournaments but the most fun is with my son. It is like walking into a rental store for him. He won’t get that experience but I am able to provide it somewhat.

    😂funny how the vast majority of games released in 1995-97 are cheap, 😢but sad how many of the 1998 releases in North America are costing so much, compared to the Japanese counterparts being hundreds of dollars cheaper.
    Panzer Dragoon Saga is expensive in America and Europe, but the Japanese version, titled Azel: Panzer Dragoon RPG, costs less. The lower end of the price spectrum is $30 to $40, while the higher end only cost a mere $100 or less for a copy in perfect condition.
    Pinball games are pretty good. I’ll be on the lookout for them.😅
