My cousin and I were in the 2nd store you went in, last Wednesday. The bobble head cat puzzled me too. It was missing a spring or something, to make its head move. That little cat cracker dish was cute. Have a safe trip to Arkansas!
Whew the amount of helpers approaching you at the rummage sale seemed overwhelming to me 😂. There were hopefully slow times where you could look and not feel pressured to pick stuff up and pay or just drop it and run, just to get space .

Until you agree and money is in hand, the seller has the right to change the price and the buyer has the right to walk away. I did something foolish that caused me to walk away when the seller raised the price. But it was my fault. I forgot to bring the cash my wife left on the counter at home to use that day. So I agreed upon a price and then went to pay for it and realized I forgot the money. I asked if they could hold it I would be right back. When I got back the person said they looked up the items value and wanted 20 dollars more. I walked away, upset with myself for allowing the seller time to research and think it through. It happens, shady or not.
In my area you still occasionally see places/events that request masks be worn. I'm going to a rummage sale next week that, in all ads about the sale, request masks. It doesn't bother me to wear one if it makes the people running the sale more comfortable. 🙂
I was hospitalised for 3 weeks just over a month ago I got out, I have had 6 vaccinations and was very ill , COVID is still here it of the 49 patients when I was admitted only me and 1 other left with a heartbeat!!!! Very very scary !
That lady rubbed me wrong right at the start with the warmer and then she confirmed my instinct when she pulled that price increase with the Halloween stuff.
25 cents each....too......$3 ....wow......you pair are so tight its unbelievable at times....a rummage sale is for a good cause...geeze...just pay it and dont moan and have the thumbnail....like she has done you out of hundreds of dollars.......its $2.50.....get over it and move on

Yes, I did feel a bit overwhelmed! Most sales aren't like that but it does happen sometimes 🤷♀️

They can, but that doesn't mean it's not rude and can even rise to dishonest.
