Brilliant. I am an ESL teacher (of adult students) in Charlotte NC, USA. Thank you for the explanation! Fascinating...I had no idea! Just so you know, you are helping the teachers as much as the students!

Hi Christian I'm preparing for the Cambridge Advanced Exam and I'm really grateful to you for every lesson and explanation about phrasal verbs and prepositions. I wanted to ask you if it's possible to have a special lesson on idioms! For me they are really tough! (If I ever get a chance to meet you, I'll offer you pizza, 'cause I' m italian and I bet you love it, you always put it in your sentences)

    Hello, teacher!
    Hello, guys!
    That's Agapi from Greece!
Yesterday, I watched your class and I liked it!
However, I didn't send you my comments...
I would like to watch it another time....
    (The reason is... obvious!!!)
    Today, It's the second time
    I watched this lesson...
    And...I have absolutely enjoyed it!!!
    What an excellent teaching, Cristiano!!!
What a..."logical" Grammar Theory about this difficult issue!!!
    I didn't have any words
    to express my admiration!!!
I agree absolutely with you, Cristiano!!!
I had thought of the same things long before
    I watched you online!!!
    The Grammar Theory...
    of the relative lists... was...
    incomprehensible...to me!!!
    (It was almost...
    a..."foolish"...thing-theory!!!)
    I had never understood this!!!
I was denying to accept it!!!
    Finally, I have understood!!!
    Thank you a lot, teacher!!!
    You have my appreciation!!!
    Have the best weekend!
    See you soon...on the Internet...

I just stumbled on this session after using the phrasal verbs and "get" sessions as useful teaching material. For the first time, another person has confirmed that there is a difference between these two forms and has explained clearly why and how this works.
It also explains why the present participle and the gerund are identical in English, though Christian has not touched on that.
Christian is a great inspiration; his lessons are a ideal supplement to any ESL teacher's collection of materials.

I recognized as when we were in France my husband (I don't know from where - as he never used to learn French, - but he knew this pocket knife) so he bought one for himself and one for our son. I can't watch which numbers they had as they have loose it by today. It was very long time ago. Since I know this brand and I thought that you tube has videos about them. I really admire them as their form is beautiful or PERFECT.
