Operator Replacement Suggestions (ORS):
Melantha: Any Guard.
Click/Haze: Any ST Caster.
Gravel: Any Fast Re-Deploy.
Frostleaf: Any Ranged Guard.
Jessica/Kroos/Meteor: Any Sniper.
Eyjafjalla: SKill 3 level 7. Angelina S3.
Cardigan/Spot: Any Healing Defender.
Midnight: Any E2 Ranged Guard or E1 Arene/Lappland.
P.S. the requirement to unlock the secret lore stage (EG-1) is to have Talulah survive with at least 50% HP or more.
just a note for ppl like me who
1.) have a weird mix of high-end and low-end operators
2.) don't have any other good ST casters other than eyja and amiya
3.) refuses to use silverass cuz hes a creep and otherwise only have 1 ranged guard
the level is still doable, you just need to have a flag vanguard (elysium is preferred but myrtle works fine) instead of frostleaf, any AoE caster with high damage long charge skill, and lappland with e2 at least level 20 and skill rank 7
starting off, throw down elysium above your bottom right defense point, and then your worst sniper (out of the 3) down in the place of kroos. proc elysium when ready, and at around 45 ish (47 for me) DP, drop lappland, your best sniper, and spot. instead of placing lappers at midnights position, place her inside the drone's range.
now comes the part where you really need to pay attention to everything.
retreat your bottom right sniper when all units there are dead, as well as elysium after procing his skill one last time. At 31 DP, look to drop your amiya and cardigan in place of haze and cardigan. activate both of these operators' skills whenever you get them (amiya on skill 1, skill 2 takes too long to charge). Retreat all 3 units on the top right corner once the drone is dead, and drop your second best sniper on the right side of the top-right defense point, retreating her when she's destroyed the top-right blockade, and using any fast redepo to tank a hit for her (done with e0-45 gravel). If your amiya is underlevelled (e1-70 because i bbq'd patriot instead back in chapter 7), she will pretty much use up all of herself and cardigan's healthbars to kill the drone (but that's okay! just be a good doctor and retreat them both when they're about to die).
And as soon as the two drones in the center have moved up past eyja's tile, drop her to charge S3. The center-right hand side blockade should still have decent hp, so drop melantha when you see the bottom right drone respawn to break the blockade and let talulah through, retreating her once she's moved the rubble.
The next timings are exactly the same as in eckogen's video, eyja can tank a couple hits from the drone and still get the job done (need fairly high level though, just enough to tank 2 hits), drop spot and redepo to bait the first 2 shots.
after eyja's done, you should be left with one lone troop at the top of the screen. Drop ELYSIUM (not lappland) on him, and your AoE caster (gitano, skyfire, mostima, ifrit even) on eyja's original tile. Immediately deploy lappland in frostleaf's place.
From then on, you've done it! Amiya-cardigan the bottom left drone, dropping your best sniper to quickly dispose of any stray infantry. once that's done, drop melantha in her tile, as well as elysium and your second best sniper to dispose of the last 3 troops.
only mean to post this here because I think this is the easiest out of the strategy videos, and I just wanted to modify it a bit to make it accessible to ppl playing scuffed arknights like me. All credits to Eckogen for such a brilliant guide!
Uh with Angelina her s3 didn't kill the drones, what should I do? I don't have Eyjafjalla built yet
@@hellrasier2352 as a general statement, angelina has far less dps than eyjafjalla, so you’d need a very high level angelina. If i were you, i’d probably just borrow a friend’s eyjafjalla
@@forciventity6 I have Angelina at E2 lvl 90 so to do close to enough dmg I'd need S3 M3, I mean I'm willing to wait a little bit to get enough mats to build Eyja if I really need to get past the lvl

Mentioning it again in case people missed it in the video and pinned comment. In order to unlock EG-1 (secret), Talulah must survive with 50%+ HP or more.
This was a really tricky stage, because there are so many moving parts, and you need to both deal with the drones and have Talulah ready to move to the next area, but not too early, or too late, and you have to plan two steps ahead to clear the area she's about to move to.
Props to Eckogen for figuring it out, especially with a low-end squad. I brought April along and it still took me 5-6 Practice Drills to get an acceptable result.
VERY IMPORTANT NOTICE FOR ANYONE USING SKILL 2 LAPPLAND!
her second skill attacks 2 enemies at once, this means that she will instantly destroy the box on the right, make sure to be careful of that!

@@basrengangetch.2042 You can try, but another option is to use Sundial instead of Wolf's Sprit, as this only allows her to hit 1 enemy, and can gives her physical resist in case you mess up and the artillery drones start bombing her

I used SilverAsh instead of Midnight and took care of the middle drones with Eyja, Gravel, and Gummy before the left side (when they came up from bottom to top). That gave Talulah some breathing room when that late right side drone came through. I basically just destroyed all the drones in order that she'd make it to their paths so she could take the lowest possible time to travel.

Oh freaking for god sake. Yes, this is impossible to do without high level E2. And most people will tell you to always E2 the 6 stars first for most of the time.
Such quality content is this
there are several 6*'s that only truly shine when they're E2, but there are also a lot of 6*'s that you can sit out on E2'ing until your inventory is more comfortable. Siege, for example, while really strong will provide her role just as well at 1E50 as in 2E20, the promotion is only really for a stat stick.
Where as Silverash is kinda meh until you get him E2'd, and then he becomes godtier.
So take your time and do your study on which 6* is good for an E2 and which you can sit out on. An example of a 5* who I would E2 over a 6* would be Specter, because she gains a self-regen which is just so strong (and stacks with other passive healing) and also gains an additional block (and to hit). Weedy on the other hand gets another (different) push ability... neet.
Sometimes E2ing 4*'s, for example, is more beneficial in long term goals as it allows you to fill out your roster a bit faster, but also, they tend to be much cheaper in the DP department.
Which is important in some maps.
I tried so many guides and spent countless hours. This was a really hard level. I used Ash twice instead of meteor and click cause I have not build both of them and boy did she wreck those drones.
This stage is just such unbelievable bullshit after how relatively easy the first 7 stages of chapter 8 were. Even following this, Eyja keeps getting nuked by the drones moving faster than my defenders can recharge for redeploy, idk what I'm doing wrong, all I know is rage

this is honestly one of the worst designed levels i've ever seen in a game, i get that your're supposed to feel like a desperate guerrilla escaping bombing drones while fighting but this is just straight up unfair to those who didn't build some specific operators.

anyways here are some super tanky drones that deal ridiculous amounts of damage and are super tanky too! and as a bonus here is an even more dangerous version of the drones chase to you around the map

if you're using silverash for ranged guard, S1M3 can melt the drone really fast
faster than the ST caster I would say, except for eyja of course

I wonder if this stage can be trivialized by abusing Pozemka's typewriter 🤔
Update: yep, you can. The right upper corner one, the left upper corner one, and the one that comes out of the drone spawn and circles around to the top can be taken out with Pozemka, but other three you'll still have to deal with with Eyjafjalla, some other caster and tanks, due to Typewriter's limited range of a straight line.
My hint is, you can actually catch the middle drones on 1:50 with Eyja, and you'd need to only deploy one defender to aggro the drones, but you would also have to very quickly deploy Gravel and snipers in the upper right.

Pretty tricky stage. I understand everything that you're doing, but I'm gonna need to practice a bit more to fully get all the timings down. Thankfully I got a ton of rocks to farm to E2 Whisparain so I can do that while practicing. Thanks for the guide!
Edit: Completed the challenge. I basically used the same strat, but I had a Support SA that I used to take out a drone. Quick tip: to help keep track of timing, you can use the DP counter. It helped alot when deciding when to activate Eyja's S3.

Tried it with Magallan,while you need better DP management and she does less damage and the drones have a much shorter range, the flexibility of the drones really help in some parts.
clearing this with an executor operator and 10 different kinds of guards and one caster should be an achievement but no

Use perfumer or Angelina or other ops with passive healing (e.g.sofa) and you are golden.

The first time I was too slow by a literal second, I had to doo it all over again for the secret ending.
this level is very hard for secret ending because you have to manage 2 sides of the drone without getting your operators killed
If you bring GG it's super easy.

For these timings, neither Meteor nor Midnight are replaceable from my own experience. Meteor def debuff is the MVP here,allowing her and Midnight to do damage. And Midnight because he doesn't have multi target on his attacks with magic damage. I guess it could work if use Meteor + Lapp S1 or another ranged ST guard. Though it is not that hard to change deploys to accommodate LappS2/Another sniper, but Talulah will have to wait on the second block instead of the first one, plus you will have to kill the middle drones before they come back. Eyja _should_ be able to using Gravel as the scapegoat with M3 by a hairs width margin, though I used one of the defenders there.
Just use Schwarz.
I used ash s2 + ayerscarpe s2. Honestly if i didn't have ash this level would have killed me
Also if you haven’t built midnight like me and want to replace him with E2 lappland, use her first skill if you M3 her skill already, because the second skill can hit a second target and will hit the block so yea

You could use a better Sniper in place of her if you have. Like Exusiai, Blue Poison, etc.

oh gosh. I passed this stage with some other guide bc my Eyja is underbuilt and I use all different casters and snipers, so I didn't want to suffer adjusting my roster that much. But your comment reminded me this stage is required for GG's module unlock. Guess in the future I'll still have to redo it with this guide (but not soon, no way)

why does your cardigan skill charge so fast
im so confussed. i ussed your video as a baseline i had to change some stuff because i simply dont have the 6 star youre using here. i do have a silver ash and use him and gravel in the middle to take out both middle unites that way instead. but i let no one through diddnt loose any life. got her over 50% got the secret clip but it gave me 2 stars anyway? im so confussed and it was such a rough level i dont even know what made me loose a star.

You think Rosa would be good to take down the two drone at middle?
Probably.
Rosa DESTROYS drones, and her range makes her able to hit from a distance, but I’m not sure if there’s a good position/timing to take out the two in the middle: I used her for the top right drone and the one that spawns later in bottom right. The middle ones are “easily” dealt with a Silverash S3 and a defender/bait. Gravel works in normal mode, in challenge mode she dies before SA finishes his skill, and even then he’s not able to kill the two drones so I used Hoshiguma S2 as bait and Ch’en S2 after SA S3, but any other combination of defender+SA+powerful operator should be able to finish the job if you get the timing right.
