Communication in remote places | Zoleo Satellite Communicator

Having communication in remote places can be somewhat impossible when cell service is lacking. With the Zoleo Satellite Communicator you are able to communicate to friends and family, send an SOS, send location tracking, check-in, get weather and more using satellite.
I have been using this device for almost a year now and am super impressed with all the features it brings while on my adventures. Having communication and the ability to get help anywhere is extremely important.

I need a device like this. When you chose the Zoleo, did you also look at the Garmin InReach Mini 2? What ultimately lead you to the Zoleo?

Now that Apple is going to be enabling satellite emergency service on all their iPhone 15’s and later, I’m wondering how much longer Garmin InReach (my choice) and Zoleo will be needed?

And… they will allow texting via Satellite so I can check in with my family. But, I’m also thinking a second “backup” device would be prudent.

A Garmin inreach is more effective. If you have the money, an Iridium satellite phone is the ultimate answer!

Honest question, what makes it more effective? I've been using a zoleo for a couple of years now and it has been great, but I'm always down to improve my gear and/or plug holes in my setup.
