How to say you've never lived anywhere near an airport without saying it 😂 The noise complaints are going to be *astronomical* both near the space station and airport. Airports are _so freaking loud_
Airports are quiet. Airplanes are loud. One may live fairly close to an airport as long as it isn't on the flight path. If one lives on a flight path then it may be quite a distance from an airport and still be very noisy because of the airplanes. There are some cities that have airports so busy that it doesn't really matter where one lives. It's just how much of an impact the planes make on your life. I visited London, England back in 2018 and the planes bothered me. I live in the capital of Canada on one of the flight paths of the international airport and hardly notice the airplanes at home.
@@capitalinventor4823 Ottawa is almost twice as big as London, and YOW has a _sixth_ of the air traffic of LHR. It makes sense that LHR would bother you more. Not to mention, distance matters. All of the houses in the game are within a mile of the airport. A Boeing 737 is 90dB a mile away. Above the threshold of danger.
Matt you connected the sewage line to a existing sewage line to import instead try connecting a new sewage outlet to the outside world not connected to your sewage network
3:08 "we have noise pollution, high crime, traffic, and lack of entertainment. Ok let's work on entertainment" This guy would be an instant hire at my city council with those priorities.
Builds international airport to bring in tourists. Puts tourist attraction (space center) in a place that already has airport and can't be accessed from other areas... Nice.
"It thousands of feet in the air it'll be cheaper" this is the famous engineer thought its easier. Workers "sigh" about that, the logistics department quoted us 54,000,000$ each trip up the hill 😂

Thanks for all the awesome videos Matt! Also thanks for all the awesome engineering knowledge! I've learned a lot and gained a great interest in civil engineering thanks to you!
I would like to see Matt playing that game called "Megapolis", its pretty old game about making "The City of your Dreams", the game may goes pretty slow but its really chill (at least to me) And the best part: It has *TRAINS*🚄
Instead of importing sewage you can create a bunch of coal power plants. I successfully created a poop river in my city by making ~15 large coal power plants. The trick is to look at the water usage of buildings because however much water they use is how much sewage they generate. The biggest thing to watch out for is keeping them all fed with enough coal - you'll probably want to create separate outside road connections for every 3-4 coal power plants or you'll have trouble importing it. Or you'll need to spread them across your city next to all your coal mines to help balance traffic and internal travel times
Headline in local paper: - "Primary Astronaut named: Jebediah Kerman :_ Read more about him on page 4" 10 minutes later roads out of city gridlocked as population plummets
What happens if you dig a hole right up at the edge of the map? Can you just dump your sewage off the edge? You could build a poo canal all the way to the edge!
"I got rich sending rockets to SPACE in Cities Skylines 2!" What's next, are you going to buy Chirper and rename it Xer and plop down an automotive manufacturing plant?
Yeah, eventually he'll have to, that is what happened when I made my poo dam. He will also need the education levels too, but I think hes good on those.
Try making a series of pootopia towers (each one a little lower than the previous), each with a dam. The poo flows from one tower, to the next, and the next, and so on.
Matt, you can make money from parking.Just put trees, grass or wide sidewalks on the roads and increase demand and since people have nowhere else to park, you can charge them max
It's weird to see Matt happy about 8M saved up after watching ImKibtz find out in his last CS2 video that the game won't let you have more than 2B in funds and and he was making 13M an hour. Of course he doesn't have magnificent bridges like you do which take up a lot of maintenance.
As someone who lives near an international airport, you do NOT want to live by them. There is no real convenience in it being close, you just have to deal with flights all day and night, waking you up and even rumbling the ground if you're close enough.
Hearing Matt's story about Paddy eating the wooden stick reminds me of when my cat ate a thin leather bracelet and I was so excited to see a poo bracelet a few days later. Glad Paddy was ok.
Honestly, this episodes "Story Time with Matt" was a bit horrifying to me. The fact that he had the thought of "this skewer is a bad thing for Paddy to have eaten", & then didn't take Paddy to the Vet is BAFFLING to me.
5:40 whats a -space center- international airport?(i thought the big one was the space center but apparently its just a plain airport?) without truck nuts! Or space nuts? That'll attract the tourists!
i adopetd my dog from the street and he probably used to eat a lot of sticks there because the first poops were always full of stick parts and sometimes blood :c anyways, it was about 8 years ago and now he is really healthy so I guess we did a good job taking care of him =D (just comented it to say "i get you" about your story hahah)
Day 144 of asking Matt to add the Second Narrows Bridge, Ironworkers Memorial to the Wheel of Bridgetune It is a cantilevered truss bridge, carrying 6 lanes of traffic from Vancouver to North Vancouver in B.C. across the second narrowing of the Burrard Inlet. It's name comes from the fact that it collapsed twice during construction, which unalived 23 people in total (Hence the name, ironworkers memorial).
Suggestion: The new area of town by the airport to be named "Posterior Place" a nice fancy name for people that want to think are fancy and yet with the noise it makes living there Poopy. lol
u must connect BOTH power lines the dam has to transfer 800 MW because the power lines only carry 400 mw each , basicaly the max your dam can transfer out of it is 800 MW because of the 2 power transformer things at both sides ofthe dam
That might be my favorite Story Time with Matt so far. Glad Paddy is okay.
It's my first I got lucky finding this channel that my older brother used to watch.
If that happens again Matt, use conserved asparagus. It seals it self around the sticks. We gone trough the same scenario as you 😅
Poo köfte is an image I didn't want in my head, but I'm glad Paddy was okay
I laughed waaaaay too hard at that story... especially the line "it came out the same way it went in except it's poo"
how the hell did paddy's intestines manage to keep the wooden stick in one piece amazes me...
Game: People are complaining about noise.
Matt: I will build residential homes next to an airport.
It's veiny
In today’s episode:
Matt can’t impoort sewage;
Jeb sneaks into the wrong game to fly a rocket;
And a fun(?) anecdote about a poo on a stick.

nooo, importing sewage, trash and nuclear waste is basically free money.
To save money on fuel for snacks, Bill went all in to increase the specific impulse
That either is already a mod or needs to be one, import sewage and get paid to take it.
How to say you've never lived anywhere near an airport without saying it 😂
The noise complaints are going to be *astronomical* both near the space station and airport. Airports are _so freaking loud_
that movie star is going to have his ears and windows blown out with every rocket launch 😂
Yeah bro like why would you want to live next to an airport like do you go to work everyday with the plane or something? 😂
that's one way of solving that pesky "rent is too high" problem. just build housing next to the airport.

11:33 Obviously. The most desirable neighborhoods in any city are always right next to the airport.
I live near an air force base, so same difference. I love it. 🙄
explains the higher cost of living near airports 😂

Make a small lake at the bottom of the poo dam, to collect, then add in a load of oumping stations and directly export it (exporting tanted water)
😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
As someone who lived thru the Challenger disaster in the 80s, seeing that rocket disappear in a cloud of smoke was a bit disturbing. 😬
you were traumatized huh

You should call the prison architraz for all of the architects that will be going there

Matt, as you’ve been branching into airports, what are your opinions on the huge interchange near Heathrow??
Hey Matt, love the videos. Could you add another river or channel for poo dam and waste water in your next video, it would look great.
Oh no, I've seen the kind of rockets Matt makes, this is NOT going to end well.
That was my first thought…”Wait, who in their right mind would give Matt the ability to launch rockets after the Kerbal Space Programs?!” 🤣
As someone who's spoken to a lot of engineers, I can confirm they would quite happily live here
So close to 2 million subs, We neet to get there!
"I got rich sending rockets to SPACE in Cities Skylines 2!" What's next, are you going to buy Chirper and rename it Xer and plop down an automotive manufacturing plant?
Matt has been Hired a European Space Agency (ESA) Launching Rockets to get Internet Satellite Like Starlink
I wonder how big Engitwopia will be by the end of the series lol
I think the dam needs to also be connected to high voltage lines on either end. I believe that is what the notification signs are on the dam.
Yeah, eventually he'll have to, that is what happened when I made my poo dam. He will also need the education levels too, but I think hes good on those.
You should also make a high density slum of 10000 people. Use that for finishing demands of high density 😊😊
Isn't that unique?😅😅
Try making a series of pootopia towers (each one a little lower than the previous), each with a dam. The poo flows from one tower, to the next, and the next, and so on.
Your city attracts a lot of tourists! Like 300'000 of em per video!
Matt, you can make money from parking.Just put trees, grass or wide sidewalks on the roads and increase demand and since people have nowhere else to park, you can charge them max
10:44- That really was a Kerbal Space Program move.
18:45 - I think you meant to say "unfortunately, it does mean down here is gonna get *poo*lluted down here"
In CS1 you had just way MORE sewage outlets. Here there are only a few. I think you just need to ploink down 100 of those things filling up that ring.
CS1 basically create sewage out of thin air for the outlet without any regard to the total water consumed
Have you noticed Matt has 1.99 million subs? He needs 1k more to get to 2 million subs. I really want him to get to 2 million. 😀
*10k haha
Story time is funny but disturbing at the same time thanks Mat

I havent hit that cap yet,but my city was also making about 12-13 mil an hour. It definitely feels like it easier to build a successful city in CS2.

Matt make sure to upgrade your power stations water stations and the New ChirpX and International airport
Coming from a Sydneysider whose main airport has a curfew due to nearby homes, no, you don't want to live next to an airport.

Performance is okay now. It still isn't great, but before I was struggling with 16k pop. Now I've got a city of 40k and it is still okay.
