- Here’s a big ol’ thrift haul of everything that I’ve gotten from Facebook marketplace over the past year! I have lots of tips I’ll share as well as the thing that has changed the game for me - how I search for what I want on marketplace! I love mixing vintage + modern decor styles. You have purchased beautiful pieces. I have helped a friend furnish her family room and dining room with market place items for free or really great prices. I also thrifted decor. For everything it was around 1000.00. It turned out so cute and she loved it. Facebook Market Place is great.

To clean your vase, put some uncooked rice and a cup of water in it and cork it. Shake vigorously and the rice will remove the dirt from the inside of your vase! It worked great for coffee stains inside my husband's stainless coffee carafe which is very tall and has a narrow opening. Great tips for buying on Facebook marketplace!

Oh my 3rd video I have watched and loving them all. I have been country for oh 40 yrs and am trying to go modern/countryish or vintage as you said. Yes the laundry room one armoire is fantastic. I love the one to the right behind you as well. So at 67 I am changing style to a point on a very thin budget and learning from you, Kristen, Amy, and Andrea. Love all these channels.❤my marketplace has nothing and we have no thrift stores in my town. I have to search further out in my province.
I love that! It’s fun to keep tweaking things to keep it fresh. And thrifting/DIY lets us do it without too much investment! What a bummer you don’t have any close! 😭 and aw those ladies you mention are all the sweetest!

I love your personality and I have to laugh when you say you want heavy furniture and your husband will pick it up. 😂😂😂😂 I love all of your finds. I have never used Marketplace , but would like to sell a few things on Marketplace. We buy all of our furniture at estate sales on the last day…which means we could lose out not going on the first day and paying first day prices. I love that big beautiful cabinet in the living room, the unusual coffee table and the other piece with the beautiful mirror. Heavy furniture to me mean older, better quality and real wood. I can not wait to see your flooring. You are looking very well and pretty…two more months 🎉🎉🎉🎉❤❤❤

"The" question: "does it come from a smoke free/pet home". Living in an apt, I don't have a lot of space so I had to clean my stinky piece immediately so it didn't stink up my space. It took three days, 1 whole bottle of murphy soap, a lot of vinegar, scraping and arm juice. I had recently seen a vid from transcend furn. on YT on how to deal w/smelly furn so I didn't freak out. FYI, I also love "heavy" furn, not so great though, when it's also stinky!

You could try an antiquing glaze or wax on the lime wash cabinet.
I’ll look into that! I really haven’t considered anything but stripping it haha

Great finds. I especially like the living room tall cabinet. I have several pieces like that. Very heavy! I think it's called Empire style. Do you know?

I think my favorite piece off of market place has been a corner cabinet with glass doors that I use in my kitchen that was painted the same color of white as my kitchen cabinets!!! I love all of your finds!!!!

Emily I was laughing hard when you say Psalms 127:3-4!!!! My Father would use that scripture to make us feel good when people had negative comments about our large family living on a farm!!!! (I'm the 13th child-the baby- 6 sisters & 6 brothers!!!) He would say "I was the last button on Gabriel's Coat!!!! People would say "that is a long coat!!! I memorized that scripture by the time I was five years old!!! One of the greatest gift God gives is "family"!!! Your sons will be "Mighty Men of God" & "Great Fathers for the Kingdom of God" speak God legacy over their life!!! God Bless!!!!
