It's understandable how is father felt, poor man. It sounds like he was suffering from traumatic stress and physical trauma, and on top of all that lost his profession had to learn a new one, try to protect his family, move them to France, move them again to US, he didn't speak a word of English had to learn a new language and culture and then become an accountant again. Good on him for claiming every repatriation he could. What a strong man. Great interview. God bless his family
