@@InsideRealEstatePhotography How many photos do you deliver? Here in Northern California (Napa, Sonoma, etc.) the local MLS now allows for almost 90 or so photos. We guarantee no less than 30 photos and will deliver upwards of 55 photos depending on the property. We flip flop between flambient and HDR constantly, but we've worked on bettering our HDR skills. Our customers now value # of photos vs. exceptional look. This is everything from $400k to $11 million this year. Our avg. home is $750k. Thoughts?
Thank you so much for making these videos! I just bought the hdr interior actions and it is super helpful! I have a bit of a rookie question lmao so bear with me, when I try to do the alt+right + click move the mouse left/right to change brush size it does not work at all, it brings up the dropper tool. I am on windows and I have found that only the bracket/parenthesis works to change the size. Do you know how to change it? Thanks again
Thanks Mike for all the videos, I bought the actions and preset and wow what a difference in speed and quality. QUICK QUESTION, you mentioned most ceilings are white but lately I have been seeing a lot of beige, tan, and off white. Is there anything I could do to make the ceilings better when desaturating without it turning white ? Thanks Again
Thanks! It’s definitely harder to do in those situations but if you’re trying to get rid of say an orange color cast you can mask off the ceiling and reduce some of the orange in jt.
Thanks for all the videos! I have a question. I am just starting into RE Photography. What in your opinion would be my best way to start for shooting? Flambient or HDR?
My recommendation would be HDR for sure. Less complicated shooting process and you can concentrate more on getting good shots than fumbling with equipment.
Hi Mike. Thank you for sharing this! When you were painting the white cross beams back in, I noticed the edges had some of the dark version of the photo left behind. Since it doesn't seem noticible in the photo once zoomed out, do yo usually leave it that way? Or was it left that way more for the sake of time for this tutorial? I guess the ultimate question would be, do clients evenr notice that?
Can I ask what you are doing specifically with your brush at 9:55 ? I already bought the actions and I am loving it but was just wondering what you are doing to brush over on non whites yet it isn't masking them out
hi, i would like to buy this package but i shoot with a a6000 that at 1/2/3 ev spacing allow me to do only 3 bracketed images, so those presets will work fine as well? Or they are built for 5 bracketed images? Also do you have a suggestion for my bracketing, because i can take 5 images up tu 0.7Ev and 3 at 1, 2 or 3 ev. What shooting mode you suggest me, 2ev 3 images or 3ev 3 images? Thanks a lot as always. I prefer to buy from you with all the free material that you post :) and i never see you talking about lumonity masks, what's your thought on that
This is helpful stuff! I'm having an issue with the feather and cut portion of the desaturation process. When I hit the action to feather and cut, it just deselects my selection and nothing happens. Am I missing something? Thanks!
Usually I would try to remove completely in photoshop. If that’s not possible I would just duplicate the layer in photoshop and do a Gaussian blur and use a layer mask to just select the sign so that’s the only thing blurred.
@@InsideRealEstatePhotography thanks Mike maybe us Photoshop newbies could learn that and mirror reflections removal if you ever think about do a video. Thanks again for all your info
Hi Mike, I bought your actions for PS, and my Initial blend in PS came up with an error saying: "The command "Fill" is not currently available", how do I fix that?
When I reach the step with the laso tool, I select everything that should be white, select the "feather selection and cut" action, and then nothing happens. The outline goes away but nothing turns white like it does in your tutorial. Do you have any of recommendations? Thank you!
@@InsideRealEstatePhotography Yes it is. I’m able to like use the brush and remove color from the original and make it look white from the desaturated layer, but the lasso tool doesn’t do anything.
@@reecepredmore4538 are you working with a black layer mask? Then make sure your background color is white when you cut. If it’s a white layer mask then make sure the background color is black. Is that the issue?

at 8:50 you start painting the gold/brass back in. when I try doing that, just black is painting it's not putting the mask back on. how do you fix that?
Am I using the wrong version of Lightroom? When I have my three photos from the same spot, I select all three and it won’t let me edit in photoshop. It only allows me to bring one photo in a time. Thanks in advance!
@@InsideRealEstatePhotography am I able to bring all photos directly into photoshop and use your presets that way or do I have to start in Lightroom for those functions to work in Ps? Thanks!
@@reecepredmore4538 You can! In Photoshop got to File - Scripts - Load Files Into Stack and then select all the brackets from whatever folder they are in on your computer and they will load into layers.
I am sure this is good for people who are willing to edit their photos (25-60) for hours and hours this way, but I would rather not do that. In my opinion (and realtors opinion), speed is the key, at least in this market. If you are doing 40 photos and you take a 5 minutes to edit each photo. That is already around 3 hours of editing. I would at least double that if you include photoshop edits. If you have the time, then go for it, I guess.
@@roblewisjr2 what you said is very true, while his technique is nice and the results are good, this is not a marketable workflow for low to medium-end properties which make up the vast majority of the market. After working in the industry for 8 years, I can say that 90% of realtors would not know nor care about minute improvements you can make to a photo. Under current market conditions, your clients will most likely prioritize cost and speed over perfectionism, the houses will sell regardless of whether you did a window pull or not. This video serves more as a guide on how to get into high end real estate photography, which is a very hard market to break into itself. You would not be taking 30+ photos and charging $120 for this degree of work, unless you have an abundance of free time and don't like getting paid for your effort.
Shoot well. Auto merge. Quick tune up, dont kill the shadows and move em out. They get the job done, honestly. It's nice to see these hand blending skills and the workflow but yeah, 95% of realtors/clients won't bark about the difference if the product/price suits their needs. They're still receiving quality material and hopefully you're shooting multiple a day now! Work smart. 🤑

Sounds like you don’t have your mask selected in the layers panel. If you have the actual layer selected by mistake you’ll just be painting the color.
