I'm watching from the upper peninsula of Michigan. We have two thrift stores in our small town but I often go an hour to several other thrift stores. I ALWAYS look in the hard goods section.

I hesitated for a moment and a woman was watching and swooped in on them without a word. I haven't gone thrifting since. I hope to run into you at an estate sale. My favorite is Larry Peters. Cheers! I am in Tulare California and thrifting here is getting thin and too expensive. I am getting broken items too and I believe they are throwing the packages around or opened with missing content.
😮 That’s terrible!!! I say a prayer now every time we ship something because we’ve had so many things broken or “lost in transit”. It’s incredibly frustrating and it appears to be all the shipping methods! We’ve had difficulty with all of them. The stores around us vary, sometimes we find great things at the Salvation Army, sometimes at the Goodwill, and sometimes we hit other lesser known stores. I usually tell in my videos which stores we go to and the things we find. Honestly, if you can find a Deseret Industries, they have the best prices of them all! A little known secret...as you are pulling gently on the tape, use a q-tip soaked in goo gone and go along the edges of the tape. Go slowly, and pull the tape as the goo gone loosens the sticky. It takes a bit of time. You have to go very slowly with some pieces, but well worth it. Give it a try. It's almost always worked for me! 😊
