The railways in Taiwan were the reason that I became a railway fan. And it doesn't just stop at MRT/Taiwan Railway Administration/High Speed Rail/Alishan Forest Railway; the railways used to be even more widely spread, and until the early 1970s , there were push cart trams and sugar trams with passenger carriages serving every corner of Taiwan !!
The hunting oscillation is not merely due to the nature of the 1067 gauge. It’s also the rather poor track quality in most of the section you travelled. The underground sec. btn Kaohsiung and Xinzuoying is an example of newer tracks where most trains tend to ride better; most tracks North of Xinzuoying until Taichung are crap/of inconsistent quality. First thing first: Welcome to Taiwan! Kaohsiung is a really lovely place... I which I can move there instead staying in Northern part (like Taipei, New Taipei) The door closing sound is also used for our commute train EMU900. Business class is not common in Taiwan Railway, as older Express train get only 1 type of seating. People do complain about the seats being bad ergonomic design especially in normal class. Looking forward to seeing you introduce Taiwan’s high-speed rail
Not long 😀👀
@@NonstopEurotrip 3Q !(thanks)
I hope you will come to Mexico once the Maya train get finish. 1500 km of new rail roads at the mayan peninsula.
Absolutely!!!
Can one park one's wheelchair in the coach section and hobble over to the Business Class? It would seem possible?
Yep, you certainly could!
The person at 7:38 looks similar to Superlabs Travels. :D
Can confirm it isn't
@@NonstopEurotrip :(
Awesome
😎😎😎
Welcome to Taiwan
Thank you 👍🏻
welcome to TAIWAN.😊
Thanks 😊👍🏻
Did you take the Taroko Express as well?
I did, yes!!
I don't see class 800 on that train it looks similar to it but more Japanese style
It's exactly the base model of the class 800.
@@NonstopEurotripoh sorry but that train was around since 2021 I saw it in a video about what train in Taiwan is faster I already now it's the bullet train
I am a Japanese and enjoyed this video.
The interior of Taiwanese class 800 is very similar to Japanese trains.
I heard that hard and no-rotated seats of UK class 800 are order from the client (UK goverment?).
Yes, they are terrible!
Actually it's made by Hitachi(assembled in Kasado plant in Kudamatsu, Yagaguchi) and listed as a member of Hitachi's A-train family. So yes, it is a MIJ product!
@@mayoilabyrinth literally all mentioned in the video
@@mayoilabyrinth Yes, I know it.
Class 800 is the first high-speed train that Japan exported to Europe.
It was a big news in Japan.
@@JR0BAK And as a Taiwanese, I'm happy and proud that Taiwan is going to be the first country that will import and use N700S as the next generation high-speed train. Can't wait to see it in Taiwan!
The Shinkansen of Japan and KTX of Korea, neighboring countries of Taiwan, look better.
It's not the same thing in the slightest
Bom dia muito lindo trem boa viagem
Often when very long trains only have one First Class carriage it can actually be buisier than Second Class due to First being only one carriage among 12!
And don't I know it 🥲🥲🥲
Very nice
First thing first: Welcome to Taiwan!
Kaohsiung is a really lovely place... I which I can move there instead staying in Northern part (like Taipei, New Taipei)
The door closing sound is also used for our commute train EMU900.
Business class is not common in Taiwan Railway, as older Express train get only 1 type of seating.
People do complain about the seats being bad ergonomic design especially in normal class.
Given the price, I might choose Ho-hsin bus which features massage chair when the road traffic is low (like in mid-night etc), or HSR if I'm in a hurry
but both are not available in Eastern part, so most resource of Taiwan Railway are given to Eastern. Most of this type are serving North-Eastern now (i.e. Taipei-Hualien-Taitung)
Thanks for sharing, I'll have to try the bus next time!
Taiwan is a lovely country 👍
Absolutely!
Can u please put only letters on the screen (titles) without black box? Unable to see the full picture on the screen.
That's TH-cam, not me. You can change how the subtitles are displayed in the options
I'll ride it myself to see if the hunting oscillation is really that bad. The quality of out track is not that good.
Let me know 😁
Both my cat and I were unpleasantly startled by the horrid door closing "chime."
Poor cat 😺
Can you cover African railways like Mombasa? very few TH-camrs have done that☺☺
Hopefully next year!!!
I had traveled taiwan when i was little (2017.2018.2019)
🇹🇼🇹🇼🇹🇼
@@NonstopEurotrip I was riding the Tze-Chiang Limited Express DR2800 DMU Taiwanese Version of Class 158 Express Sprinter
@@NonstopEurotrip and the Puyuma
I love oyur channel thank you!!!
You are so welcome!
I noticed that Taiwan in general is very similar to Japan
It is, maybe 10 years behind though
@@NonstopEurotrip yea. kinda old, but i can feel the Japanese layout such as the station design and signage, etc. very similar to Japan and looks very clean modern cool
Subway stations look more european i like it
Please cover Tejas express chair car service also in India.Much love from 🇮🇳
Next time!
As an Taiwanese ,we haven’t ready to face the torture yet.
Most people can’t feel the support framework under the seat (back side)
Compared with the last vehicle hitachi made(Temu1000) 3000 series have too many deficiencies .
Can you visit Mexico and ride the class 43?
Of course 😀
150km/h for 1067mm now that's something!
Malaysia is same with 1000mm lol
@@NonstopEurotrip lol. almost forget about it but aren't they up to 160km/h?
@@nastygoyenggg in theory 180, but 140-150 normally
Queensland manages 160km/h on narrow gauge.
Just want to correct your video title in Chinese. It’s “自強特快”not “慈江特快”
The train looked like German ICE, I thought Japanese hsr all had very long nose
It's not a Shinkansen
