From one Billy to another, Congratulations! It's cold over here in the mountains of Virginia, but this news warms the hearts all of the folks of Southwest (Tazewell County) Virginia! Congratulations Billy on a job well done!

Welcome to the Hall of Fame, Billy Wagner. And Thank You for Saving Your Best Year... *YOUR FINAL YEAR IN THE MLB... FOR BRAVES COUNTRY.* Whether as an Astro, Met, Philly, Red Sox, or Brave, you will always be remembered as a LEGEND.
One of my grandmas favorite pitchers had the pleasure of seeing you pitch for years and very good memories! Wish we could have won in 2005 🏆! But regardless u was one of the best to close out!!
As an Astros fan of the last 57 years, I am so happy for you, Billy, as I'm sure Astros fans who watched you play are happy for you, too! You deserved it years ago, but at least if finally happened. Best wishes for you and your family.
Braves fan and fellow Virginia native, I’m so happy that Billy Wagner is finally in the baseball hall of fame! Congratulations to one of the greatest left handed closers of all time!
@thepoisonouspotato3631 I love lidge too. I’m from granger, in south bend suburb and never saw lidge in college cuz I was in the minors then. When i saw Wagner on TV, he gave the tyreek hill/jameson Williams vibes, where anything could happen. He could go to the house on 9 pitches or implode. I think Chapman and Hader are next on the list of dominant closers in the next 10 years. That pervert from the pirates Vazquez could have had a career too, but made a huge mistake.
I don’t think people comprehend that he used to throw righty. After breaking his arm twice from football, his dad forced him to throw lefty. Wow. Just wow
I remember seeing him with red sox his 2009 season lol when we choked vs angels but imo best closer besides Rivera of his era maybe rob nen stuff wise was close & hoffmans great but not on this level lol
There should be very few Closers in Cooperstown. The Save is the most overrated stat in all of Sports. Come in to pitch the 9th with a 3 run lead and don't blow it? Wow...what an accomplishment.
He’s (for relievers) No. 2 all time in ERA and ERA+, former all-time record holder for K% and most strikeouts by a lefty reliever until this year. Also No. 3 all-time in reliever K/9, WHIP, and Hits/9. The last three stat records are occupied by active players (Chapman and Kimbrel), so he could hold those number one spots again. 1000% deserved

Way to go Billy! Happy that you finally got in.🎉

How the heck did it take him this long to get in
Houstonnn 🤘🏽 congratulations Billy!! You deserved this a long time ago
It was always such a pleasure to watch Wagner deal for the Astros when i was a child. Way to go Billy!
One of my favorite players from my favorite Mets team of all time. Forever heartbroken in 2006. So well deserving of the HOF. Congrats Billy Wagner!
Welcome to the Hall of Fame, Billy Wagner.

Braves fan here who's happy to see Wagner get in. I'm assuming he'll go in as an Astro
Hope so!
I'm happy for Wagner as a Phillies fan. Well deserved; the stats are impressive.
Yeah he’s for sure going in as an Astro his speech has an Astro hat
Orioles fans but me and my brothers was fans of Houston well deserved
Without a doubt yes
About time!
Another Astros great getting into the HOF! Congratulations Billy !
This is an awesome class. Very happy for him!
1:36 the 6 pitcher combined no hitter!!! After Oswalt left with an injury
Congrats Billy Wagner. Tazewell and SWVa. should be proud.
I loved Billy Wagner’s pitching motion and the sheer power he had. Loved that he is a lefty like me!
AT LAST!!!
One of my grandmas favorite pitchers had the pleasure of seeing you pitch for years and very good memories! Wish we could have won in 2005 🏆! But regardless u was one of the best to close out!!
Shouldn’t have taken him 10 years to get in but I’m glad he’s in! Most dominant lefty reliever of his generation.
As an Astros fan of the last 57 years, I am so happy for you, Billy, as I'm sure Astros fans who watched you play are happy for you, too! You deserved it years ago, but at least if finally happened. Best wishes for you and your family.
Billy The Kid gets to the Hall of Fame! WELL DESERVED!!!!!
Braves fan and fellow Virginia native, I’m so happy that Billy Wagner is finally in the baseball hall of fame! Congratulations to one of the greatest left handed closers of all time!
Congrats" Well Deserved HOF Billy Wagner "Lights Out"
New mlb the show card finally
Astros jerseys in the Black ones are so sick. I don’t like this red the gold is amazing.
This is giving me flashbacks to when Larry Walker made it in from one Rockies fan to every astros fan congratulations and also I hate you
The best closer I have ever seen.
🧢🧢🧢🧢🧢 RIVERA
I’ve thought about this, would you rather have prime Wagner or prime Lidge? 2 of my favorite Astros closers
He was great, but MO
@thepoisonouspotato3631 I love lidge too. I’m from granger, in south bend suburb and never saw lidge in college cuz I was in the minors then. @@ryantakach4559 yup
Had a 1.43 ERA his last season and 37 saves. He should have played at least 1 more season if not more.
MLB doing Wagner dirty with only a 7 minute video but everyone else above 15 minutes
Finally!!! Wags should have been in the hall of fame a long time ago.
5:31 literally right down the middle
I don’t think people comprehend that he used to throw righty. After breaking his arm twice from football, his dad forced him to throw lefty. Wow. Just wow
Bout dang time!
The greatest right-handed southpaw there ever was.
Billy's fWAR(RP) is 2nd in his carrer just under Rivera.
Which is exactly why he should've been a 1st ballot call. Huge disservice to him and the game he had to wait this long
おめでとうございます🎉🎉🎉
Let’s go Wagner! Congratulations!
Where is highlights of him as a Philly
Finally!
He should have been in the hall... Finally... Finally...😂
Finally! Wagner is in Cooperstown
Wagner in and KRod 10%, that says it all!
I remember seeing him with red sox his 2009 season lol when we choked vs angels but imo best closer besides Rivera of his era maybe rob nen stuff wise was close & hoffmans great but not on this level lol
Well deserved. Let’s Go Mets!
The only knock on Billy Wagner he wasn’t a big game closer had that difficulty to him he wasn’t great in the big spots
They’ll let anybody in these days
First comment 🎆
Nope, sorry

He is not a hall of famer. He had a solid career and was a very good player, but not a hall of fame player.

He’s the Astros all time saves leader
I will repeat it. A solid career and very good player, but not a hall of famer.
@@cambonious23 how did the numbers I just gave you not signify a HOFer? Those are all-time placements
@@aidansheedy8135 Relievers are pitchers who are not good enough to be starters.
