Alfa Romeo Giulia/Stelvio Battery Post Cleaning and Starter Relay Location

Make sure your Alfa Romeo Giulia or Stelvio has clean battery posts! This video shows what to look for, how to safely clean and reset your car without a code reader or special tools. No matter how new or old, this procedure is essential for 100% reliable service. Remember that weak continuity at the battery post contact surfaces is the gateway to check engine lights, false flag codes and indicators of component malfunction, especially over time. If you need a starter relay (good to have an extra one in the glove box) you can buy the Delco brand part Delco #96484304 at any parts store if the Alfa one is not available.

You're the man I just did the pump for the sluggish behavior relay which was accessible in the wheel well. My AC motor quit working yesterday I'm going to replace basically both of those two just because I'm going to be doing it anyways. Thanks for the heads up!

Great video! I love my 2018 Quad and just dealt with a slightly low/cold battery last week. I keep it on a trickle charger every day but I used a lot of battery power moving the driver's seat when I was chasing down a squeak last week. I've owned the car since new and do a lot of service myself. I was pretty sure it was the recent cold snap and power drain so I looked into it and found a replacement battery available from local parts stores just it case. After a full day on the trickle charger and a long trip, it was back to normal. I will check the voltage too because it is 5 years old now. Thanks for the detailed instructions. It will save a ton when it's time to replace.
