This a sick vid. It's really a sleeper phone and not too many reviewers are even looking at it which is a shame. I've had it for 5 days, and I've only charged it once. So it's a 5-day battery for me (who's a very light user with almost no texting or calling yet). I can't attest to the picture quality as I haven't taken any pictures of anything, lol. It's mostly bloatware-free with OxygenOS 11. It'll get android 12 too. I'd recommend getting it unlocked and with an MVNO like Usmobile or Mintmobile to save cheese over the long run. For my first cell phone after 40+ years, it's great!

(OnePlus Nord would need to be at the $300 price range to deliver better, but then there would be all the haters complaining about that price range). Need a new device? Ready to switch to 5G? Coming in as a new Customer for Metro by T-Mobile? This device is perfect (if you want better? it's not going to be $0 + 1st Months + Activation - it's going to cost more as a port in, or upgrade - but isn't it nice that we have more options available as Consumers?) 👍🏻
Well put 🤙 This device has opened my mind to the idea that you don't necessarily have to "spec chase". Entry level 5G devices like these reduce the time we spend being consumed by our devices and up our data capabilities. It's like a the "next-gen" for smartphones has arrived parallel to 5G. The very meaning of, a 'smart-phone', is evolving 😁
@@NowKissMyChucks Mine's arriving soon from Sprint/Tmo for free just had to pay $20 for taxes. I have a feeling I'm going to be A ok. Hard to beat a $20 total. My other option was Samsung A32 better camera but meh. I rather have high resolution 90hz screen. Seems like a good device. Last lower range Samsung I got was loaded with bloat.
I love my phone , switched from n100- to this and definitely bang for my buck, easily saved 900$ compared to my friends galaxies and iphones. Happy with it....
All the people complaining about the camera. Are you forgetting that the phone has a 16 mega pixel front facing camera? Plus the AI edits on photos I've taken are fantastic...heck, there's even a "beautify" icon that pops up when it recognizes that a face is the subject/focus. Also, sometimes you might just have to learn how best to capture what you want pictured, with the tech you got. I remember taking awesome pictures with a cell phone 10 years ago! Also, the majority of all people aren't T-mobile customers, so stating that it's $60 sounds a bit misleading. The 1+ Nord N200 5g, unlocked, is going for $200 on Amazon currently. It really is a great phone. 📱
People complain about a crap camera but I used to have 2 Megapixel on non-smartphone. You young Gen Z folks don't know what it was like to carry around a separate camera.
Thinking of getting this phone for my brother who uses T-Mobile. He's a trucker so he moves around the country frequently so I was worried about coverage and call quality. How smooth is the use of Google maps/GPS on this phone?
I used the Google maps/GPS a few days ago. It's pretty smooth. If your brother has bad hearing problems, just make sure he turns up the volume on the single speaker. I'm currently shopping for a car mount.
@@CaptStubborn Why is that? Is it because of route restrictions trucks face? I know truckers can buy dedicated navigation systems. I never gave it much thought, but I suppose having Google Maps, Waze, etc. route trucks like cars could cause major problems.
I picked one up today for $220 USD. it's definitely a sleeper phone for the price which amazes me. Only two complaints currently are it's kind of slow/sluggish and the camera isn't as good as I was expecting. I did move over from the Google Pixel phones though, so. I kind of got used to the speed and quality of them
I transfer my data from a LG Stylo 5 but did not get all of my text messages. Do you have any suggestions on getting my old text messages especially with pictures?
I would take Screenshots of the Text messages & then text message the Screenshots to your new phone..... Or Transfer each Text message onto a SD Card that you can Remove....
I would hope it would work with the price it costs for that phone. For a budget phone. It makes sense to make it a physical one to save costs for the build which keeps the price lower
I bought mine, pretty much when they first came out, unlocked. Simple Mobile, did not support it, so I went to Google Fi. After the first software update only one camera was left working. they said they'll mail me a return kit and a loaner while they repair. Still waiting. Been maybe six months. 5G is fast for the download but slower than my One Plus One (a great phone, I got it with an invite) was. "Hey Google" only works for a while, then you need to turn the phone off and back on. Screen is good, battery life is great. But what is up with red numbers (not all) for the time?
I am getting an upgrade with MetroPCS, I have narrowed it down to The Nord 200 5G for about eighty bucks or The Moto G 5g for about one hundred bucks. The specs don't seem to be that different. All I use my phone for it calls, searching the web, text and TH-cam, I don't even take many pictures with it. I don't want to pay more for the Motorola just because it's a more known brand but If it's better made and will last longer then I'll spend the extra twenty bucks. Any advice?
Both have their pros and cons N10 5G has a better camera and costs more N200 5G has a larger battery and a better Qualcomm Snapdragon chipset Take a trip to your local Metro and check both out (you got to feel it before you buy it).

@@jduncan312 yes, the cameras are garbage, the fact of the matter is that image processing is the key, it's why such a simple design announces "AI Triple Camera". The SD 480 is up 100% on performance than the 460 (predecessor) and has the same GPU found in the 700 series chips for upper mid tier phones. All I'm saying is, I'm a power user, and just killing my apps more often makes the UI/UX more liveable than I had ever previously expected..
I am trying to decide between the one in this video vs the 5g ace. I go tomorrow to get one. I use it for basics but I heard that the glass breaks easily? Looking for the best option out of the two.
