Haha bleuuuurgh i cant stand seeing people chew gum right in front of me, it gives me serious goosebumps, such a pet peeve of mine!

My dad told me that you don't get car sick when you drive because you're concentrating on the road but out of curiosity I just checked and online it says:
"car sickness arises because your inner ear says you are moving, but your eyes (when they are fixed to a static object inside the car) says you are stationary. Your brain interprets this as something being wrong with your inner ear, so you feel ill"

About the car sickness: when you drive, your mind is 100% focuses on the road so you have no time to think about feeling sick whereas as a passenger, you have nothing else to focus on.

Emma Louise Agreed! If you are forced to be a passenger, however, car sickness can be reduced by using a focal point looking straight out the front window only , sitting in the front passenger seat. Also cracking a window open slightly helps. Cheers!
It's because your in control of the car so you know when you are breaking and speeding up
Emma Louise I always get the worst motion sickness when I'm a passenger in a car (back seat only), bus, and sea sickness when I'm on a boat. :(

On the clip about drinking water and always carrying around a bottle of water, which by the way is a good trick, I had to pause and go and drink a glass of water! LOL Ialways try to drink from 2 L to 3 L of water everyday! Always love your vlogs and really excited to see the next beauty chat! London is so beautiful! Next time I go I need to go for a walk in that canal!

On the topic of shoplifters, I was in superdrug once and I saw this guy looking so uncomfortable and sweating and I first thought he was buying a gift for a girlfriend and just needed a little advice. I went to go and help him but he literally grabbed something and ran, I literally cried in the shop at how stupid I'd been! Luckily he was caught though, but what an idiot!

O I love the canal in london, so quiet, not many tourists have find it yet! You should go on a canal Tour like jasons canal Tour that starts in little venice, you learn a lot about the canal

It was very sunny indeed, we've never explored London's canals as thoroughly as you did, but now I'm totally itching to do that! Especially coz we have a very energetic Yorkie who would so enjoy the whole adventure! :D Love your vlogs so much!
It is so unfortunate that you get impatient when you are at home for too long...Maybe because of your job profile? I LOVE weekends where I do nothing. Running around the whole week, lab stress , experiments failing argghhh....Friday evenings are my ABSOLUTE favourite , then Saturdays......Hate Sundays.
Get under a blanket , wach YT + TV series , and sleep all day long = my dream weekend.

I don't know why that car sickness thing happens but it's happened to me every time I've been a passenger since the day I got my driver's license, and I hate driving over here in Greece so I walk wherever I can purely to avoid getting car sickness.
Love taking my boyfriend to yoga, but he isn't very good haha! I also love when you and Anna get together! :)
Maybe concentrating on the road is what helps given that your only looking straight ahead for the most part. Just a guess.

Lily, I have trouble with car sickness as well! I find that if I'm the passenger and I'm focusing on my phone a lot, or if I'm trying to read a book or even watch a video it really makes me feel sick. I think it's because our eyes are trying extra hard to focus on whatever is in front of you, and it just strains them. I just try my best to limit being on my phone as much as possible, even though it's so hard! haha

You don't feel sick when you're driving because you know when you're going to brake and your mind is prepared. It takes time for your mind to get used to other people's driving style.. :)

A long-winded explanation, but here goes: When you get carsick or any motion sickness, there is a usually a dissonance between one or more of your perceptual senses. For example, while sitting in a car or a boat, although you may see the view moving and changing before you, your body senses that it's staying still and not moving, which causes you to feel nauseous and ill.
Being the driver actually helps a lot because you're the one controlling the car. When the car moves or brakes, you were the one who did it, so your brain processes that information and relays to your body to expect that sensation. Whereas if you were the passenger, you cannot perceptually foresee what the driver will do, no matter how well you may know him or her, and so you have to rely solely on your spatial and visual awareness to know what is happening.
I suffer from vertigo and motion sickness all my life and really know how much it sucks! I also hate driving, but will gladly do it if it means I don't get sick for a few hours from another person's driving.

Lily can't believe that people actually shoplift? What a lovely sheltered life she must lead haha. I work in a shop and we had one guy who came in every week and stole two bottles of vodka each time. Also, because I work in a shop we don't get days off for bank holidays and I was at work during Easter.

The Laura Mercier foundation was reformulated too. They took out the parabens, and many people have said neither formula is quite the same as the original. The moisturizing version is the better of the two.

Quick tip if you feel car sick, tilt your head. One ear to the floor and one to the sky. This is why you don't feel sick when you sleep as you're tilting. I suffer badly with car sickness and found this to be helpful
I do exactly the same when I go to the cinema...minstrels or chocolate buttons mixed in with my salty popcorn...

I wish we had more bank holidays in the U.S.. No time off for Easter and vacation time is very precious because it takes a whole year to save for your two weeks.
